18:45 for older engines or engines that might be a bit varnished inside, look at the 'Cost Effective Maintenance' products - in this case the engine oil flush would help greatly.
Engine oil flush is just diesel. No joke, it's just diesel. Put a metric cup (250mL) of diesel in your engine oil, start the car, warm it up to operating temperature at 1000 rpms, then stop the engine and do an oil change. Flush complete, and you spent 30 cents on diesel instead of $15 on diesel in a little plastic bottle.
@@ChristopherHallett can't say I've ever used straight diesel in place of a dedicated engine flush, maybe it would work. However I'm pretty sure, in Australia at least, that you can't package something and market it as being something it isn't. I specifically mentioned CEM as they're an Australian company that primarily serves the mining and trucking industries, that said though they do sell to the public. The safety data sheet on their site says there's less than 3% hydrocarbons in the flush so I'm pretty sure it's not just diesel. I also drive an old diesel and all the fuel getting past the rings didn't help my engine :)
I literally had one of these Jimnys at work the other day and said to my boss how cool would it be to put a swift sport engine in that as I own a swift sport as a daily
Here in the states I had a Suzuki sidekick that I lifted 3 inches. And that thing would go everywhere the jeeps did and more because it had a tighter Turing radius
I wish you guys weren’t so far away. Staring at your mud box through this screen is just making me want to catch a flight and get my fingers all over your mud box. Hoping that your so impressed with my skills you let me get inside your mud box and take me for a ride. Let me feel that long stroke power. Maybe after we 4wd for hours and smash a couple shit beers we can all get in your mud box together, cram it full. Great work boys.
Just curious, wouldn't it have been easier (and you would've get to keep the clean engine) to swap the crank and rods from the 1.5 into the 1.3? That way non of the changes on the outside would have been needed?
@@gabbosadventures9288 I very much doubt the block is different inside as the reason this works is because the manufacturer wanted to use the same block to save costs. If clearance was different they would need a different casting. Bearings can be replaced but not a mandatory thing.
It's not just the stroke that's different to the m13 block. And to be honest, all the m engines are pretty much bullet proof. Some suffer from rattling chains, and a few others the have been abused hard have a head gasket failure, but no bottom end problems, no head problems nothing. They just run. So no problem swapping a high mileage m16a with a low mileage m13a. Especially because I know his issue. The m13a is really pretty weak, I live in germany and it's definitely not made for autobahn speeds! Sometimes it's hard to keep the 40t trucks from overtaking you.

But a m16a of off a swift sport or even the sx4 and so on would have fit too! And is cheaper and more powerful.
Sorry but you guys just did the one swap that is not worth it in my opinion. Yeah it has a bit more torque and power, but 700 dollars isn't that much cheaper then a m16a with around 130hp.
Even the high comp m15a ou of a ht81s would have made more sense.
@@FuCaneNdaClique AGREED.
@@FuCaneNdaClique hi, you seems know about Suzuki M engines. Do you have any idea which have stronger internals for turbo, VVT M15A or Non VVT M16A?
@@submariner144 internals are the same. Just the crankshaft is different. I would go the M16 route, more tourque and better comp ratio. At least as long as you talking about the M15a with 110hp. The 99hp one is as good as the M16a for force induction.
So i just spent 9 days driving around Iceland, and to do it i rented a 2020 Suzuki Jimny 5-speed. I completely fell in LOVE with the Jimny. Unfortunately i live in the USA so it is unattainable:(
Yes......more metal music please 🤘
This is my favourite build series since I have a 2015 jimmy called cricket. He just had new tyres and is ready for more adventure . Thanks for showing us what can be done on the greatest 4wd channel on UA-cam. Love ya work guys.
I’m off to have a shit beer with the mrs! See ya!
I freakin love how you guys still make your own music !!
I didn’t know that?.
That look on moogs face pulling that pallet with the 1.3 engine is priceless !!
" more power ! But that engine is flith !"
Hey MCM, are you selling that 1.3L engine? My sierra would love that and its a better upgrade over the 1L thats in it haha!
I'd imagine it's long gone by now. Dunno how old the filming is.

@@Jagermonsta Wynns engine oil flush is just diesel. That's how I found out. It's listed on the ingredients as "hydrocarbons".
FWIW, when you say "big block", we Yanks immediately think 7+ liter V8. Still stoked about the build!
I'm pretty sure that's the joke.
We all do, no one outside this channel, has ever seen tiny engines like this and called them "big block."
Canadian here, I was thinking WTF thats not a big block a big block is a chevy 454 or a ford 460.
thats the joke
Man seppo’s are stupider then I first thought 😂😂
I would assume the block would be different inside to clearance the crank and rods, also new bearings too
@@gabbosadventures9288 I very much doubt the block is different inside as the reason this works is because the manufacturer wanted to use the same block to save costs.
Swapping the internals vs swapping externals, externals can be done easily by unqualified youtubers.
@@robmanueb. to be honest I'd give them a little more credit but it might be why. More but less critical work.
I’ve learned so much about about off-roading from this, the best off-road channel on the tube of You. ✌🏽😎
Great music as always guys! Loving this more hardcore stuff. Would love to listen to it separately if it’s available to buy!
Me as well
Same here, I would definitely buy an album.
It's one of Moog's songs:
Tiny Little Pieces, by Internal Combustion
As well as being the best 4x4 Chanel on UA-cam 🤔 you undoubtedly have the best soundtracks ever of any channel out there. 🧡👌🏻
The dirty engine is in need of a seafoam smoke show. Love the stuff, expect a kick in the nuts from captain planet though lol. Wooo
I can’t believe I’ve been subscribed to this channel for 10 years.. time flies by
The day you get to be proud of your 6yo daughter as she enters the room while the graphics of MCM is playing and you hear her say "Mighty Car Mods" in a robotic voice..... we'll thats me right now!!!!! 🥰
I'm missing the crazy 'chest-out Moog-jump' though...
Proud dad moment 👍
And as soon as it finishes you both go wrenching on ya car?
This is mad. I was rewatching the moog buggy episodes last night with issac and now this morning g here he is again. Brilliant asset to the team.
Bin the viscous fan and gain some killer-watts! Maybe 3kw? Run an electric one instead.
Don't forget the o-ring on the oil pickup when swapping the sump and pickup, been there done that when i changed the 1.3 engine in my SJ510 for a Swift engine. It was fun for about 20 minutes, then the fun went away with the sound of a dying engine in horrific pain.
I’d like to see you guys actually use the poor little Jimny, the 1.3L is more than capable for that little car especially off-road. I just wanna see some videos of it actually being used off-road! Take it to Lithgow and do the lost city track and ranger bobs 👍
Didn't watch the Xmas special?
@@scootbmx01 I wouldn’t even call that 4wding 😂 That jimny even completely stock could easily tackle much harder tracks. The little Suzuki 4wds will go where the big 4wds struggle 👍 I have a Suzuki Sierra 👌
Bought a 1994 Suzuki Jemni and it has a hairline crack in the number one cylinder wall. So, I'm trying to find a replacement engine, and one that I'll be able to get parts for in the future here in the USA. I'm open to gas or diesel, even if it means different transmission and other mods. Thank you for your time and assistance.
Just flush it and do frequent oil changes. It will clean up. I rebuilt a motor in similar shape and it cleaned up over time
So you didn't rebuild it then ? You refreshed it ?
@@jacobpage3865 most rebuilds are just bearing swaps
@@jacobpage3865 new pistons, piston wall scoring, rings, bearings, heads, valves, valve seals, gaskets etc.
I am talking about a cheap car with a cheap motor I bought with a melted head from previous owner abuse.
Built? No. Rebuilt? Yes. Was a motor in the car rebuild, so no, i wasn’t able to clean the block to perfection. It has cleaned up over time.
Dropping the oil pan 6 months later for a check up shows most of the brown to be gone, and looking pretty clean.
Valvecovers off the heads and valvetrain are shiny like new but they are new and i maintain stuff. 5k km oil changes no exceptions

When can we expect the Gemini build to start?
The way Marty was talking in the 1st RX7 video it sounds like it has started but cos he's going full resto it's gonna take some time so we probably won't see anything until it's nearly finished. I too can't wait to see what they put in it.
Nice! Out & About Off-road just did this with a 1.6 and a Haltech, plus they're doing a turbo
Still think we need a jam set with all or a bunch of Moog's tracks... elctro tracs.. 1 hour mix by Moog!
Your Jimny videos are now Christmas movies in my house.
The roof rack will cost you 10kph above 80kph.. I’ve made mine to go on and off when I need it.. great vids keep it up🤘🏽

Another one that is a direct fitment that we used to do in the uk, but not sure if you guys have them over where you guys, was the 1.6 from the suzuki Liana which was the M16 block 👍
You guys should get in contact with 4WD 24/7 and do an episode lol
Maybe if the have a spare $10k too get on it

1.3 to 1.8l in the same basic design... Pretty decent use of changing stroke length.
The K-series came in 1.1 to 1.8l (2.0l engines have been built but they aren't factory), but Rover cheated by changing bore and stroke.
Similar story with Toyota K series, 1.0 -> 1.8 L, but the 7K (1.8) is starting to push the limits of same basic design. There were a few different bore sizes though
