as a canadian who has built offroaders, both for trails, work trucks, and for rally, i can honestly say that i dont care if you guys do it "right" because everyone does stuff their own way in the end, im just more proud of you guys for trying. ultimately, offroading is about adventure and having fun. some guys are more comfortable overlanding, taking mostly stock rigs and taking them to remote camping spots, other guys go full out and get competitive, and some of us just do whatever strikes us, but at the end of the day its about having fun and thats really all that matters and you guys are fan-fucking-tastic at having fun.

Worked as a mover in Australia. Grabbed some table that sat outside for a long time. Put it down, realised I never checked where I grabbed it. Looked under the table, right next to a massive Red Back. Also did a road trip, had to grab some paper to wipe the windshield. Ran into a roadside toilet, grabbed some paper and felt something go past my hand. It was a Huntsman the size of a dinner plate. Love the country, hate the wildlife.

@@ironized definitely not I drive a heavily modified one every day and it already wants to tip. Portals would make the chance of rollover way too high. The short wheelbase/track makes it so you rarely hit diffs anyways

I owned a Suzuki Samurai for 15 years. Many many mods....different engines, lifts, wheels and tires, interior. Super fun vehicles and VERY capable off road. Watching these guys go at this little Suzuki is a little cringy, but lot’s of fun. Freaking love this channel!🇺🇸

Im not a 4WD fan but I am loving this series so far. Any mod that involves taking a hole saw to the body is worth watching. And love the panel work to fit the bar.
Hello MCM, The most importent thing to install on this Jimny is rear axle Diff Lock. The 4WD potential will increase 10 fold with the ability to lock the rear axle, og both front and rear if you have the money for it.
Your are right about some mods that get done on 4wds are never used but a Snorkel is totally usefull. More power from colder air, less dust ingress and better litres per 100km. Water crossings are part of it but snorkels have many benefits.

@@HSAFrogy A lot of people don't consider such things as tire to lift ratios or even how it will affect their gear ratios. Those same kind of people are also surprised by the hit to their fuel economy after the lift kit and bigger tires are fitted. I personally was able to fit 35s on my half-ton pickup truck without a lift, and that was good enough for the kind of stuff I do.
Nah, learn your car before lockers, then decide if you are going to do trails and obstacles that make them necessary. It can be expensive depending on the vehicle and if you learn to rely on them then you aren't really learning
No you don't burn it, you get a RPG and blow it up from a safe distance, then scrape together the remains in a pile and then you set that on fire. And then you spray down the ash with insect spray.

I love my 4WD'in and must admit very entertaining 1st 4wd video! When I was a 4wd newbie I'd keep asking whats the thing to learn first or any tips? Best advice I was given is simply find a great 4wd club and start hitting the trails and learn from the people around you on the trail :)
Bumper bar: big heavy chunk of steel, sturdy as all hell, made to protect car from hitting stuff Also bumper bar: wrapped up and cushioned in more packaging material than any mug or glassware I've ever ordered off the internet.
I had the exact same model as this here in Adelaide. I had installed a M18A engine from a Liana. Just change sump,oil pick up and rocker cover. Keep the 1.8 intake and throttle body. I can’t remember what injectors it had now but it had to have a piggy back ecu to run it properly. It was dynoed with the 1.3 auto before the conversion and it made 34kw at the wheels. Once the 1.8 was up and running it was dynoed again and it made 79kw at the wheels still with automatic trans. I don’t recall torque figures. It had extractors and a 2 inch exhaust as well. I kept it for a couple of years but as a daily it was thirsty! About 10 litres per 100 so with its 40 litre fuel tank it would get about 400kms tops but otherwise it was bloody fun.
Idk if anyone has mentioned this but, coming from the US, its absolutely crazy to see people in huge stores without masks on. Keep up the good work Australia!

I have to give props to Suzuki for resisting independent suspension in favor of solid axles in the Jimny. It costs more to manufacture, but really works in the trails.

I've always been into my hot hatches in fact every car I've ever owned with the exception of 1. My Mitsubishi Shogun Pinin was a riot to drive! I'd taken it up mountains, down valley's, through forest's, and over sand dunes without missing a beat. I have fond memories of my short defection to the other side.

the snorkel also helps the engine "breath" cleaner air having the intake further from the dirty roads

Every car in Australia (Mostly) will have a spider. And we dont like fires, so we live with them if its safe to do so.

@@jprock1980 my first Summer in Arizona, I had an EG Civic. I never needed the AC in Washington State. The AC pump blew all the gas out the first time I used it in Arizona. Then I spent the rest of my college years without AC haha

I've always been into my hot hatches in fact every car I've ever owned with the exception of 1. My Mitsubishi Shogun Pinin was a riot to drive! I'd taken it up mountains, down valley's, through forest's, and over sand dunes without missing a beat. I have fond memories of my short defection to the other side.
