What IS questionable is not only joking about such a sensitive topic, but getting your kid brother in on it. I can't believe people are still using the "I have a mental illness. I run in circles with many disabled people, and this kind of behavior is so sickening because I know the impact it has on the people who really do have these disabilities.

The only fault here is the individuals themselves, especially Jax. :/ If Jax is going to blame his Autism for his behavior and actions, that means he's not opening a door for an exit, but a door for backlash for his actions. If someone did something wrong, they should open a door of taking responsibility for their actions, not the wrong door like Jax opened it.

As someone who HAS been diagnosed with Autism and BPD; No. That’s in no way an excuse to joke about such horrific crimes. Not only is it just horrendous in general, making light of one of, if not THE worst things someone could ever do, invalidating victims and treating their trauma as a joke, it’s also vilifying, not only Autism, but BPD which has already been vilified by media enough. I am an SA survivor and the thought that THIS might be the only exposure people get to Autism and BPD terrifies me.

I can't believe people are still using the "I have a mental illness. I'm not responsible for my actions" excuse when they don't even have a mental disability that can even be applied in this situation. I run in circles with many disabled people, and this kind of behavior is so sickening because I know the impact it has on the people who really do have these disabilities.
I am developmentally behind and autistic and it makes me sad that people ecuse bad behavior due to disability. in my experience, my disability does make judgement difficult sometimes, but we are not stupid and have a basic understanding that things like paedophilia and graping is wrong!!!!!!! If Jax is going to blame his Autism for his behavior and actions, that means he's not opening a door for an exit, but a door for backlash for his actions. If someone did something wrong, they should open a door of taking responsibility for their actions, not the wrong door like Jax opened it.

also sorry to nitpick on a shitty joke but, one of the reasons jimmy is well written is the fact that he doesn't recognize what he does is wrong. jimmy isn't malicious in the sense that he is fully aware of what he's doing but malicious in a way that he believes everything he does is right since he is above everyone. if you're (Jax) going to make a shitty joke, at least make it somewhat lore accurate to the character.
also it's pretty crazy that some of the stuff he (Jax) does is pretty much shit Jimmy did in the game. As someone with asd (autism) I also have trouble with social cues, but if you're that removed from the social sphere to play off a 🍇 joke as comedy, don't go on the internet. I've seen a lot of people use a disorder as a crutch for their behavior, but it always ends up backfiring, or worse: it gives other people with said disorder a stereotype that isn't even remotely true.

I don't understand how people can act this way towards KIDS. Fetish art should STAY IN ADULT COMMUNITIES, and rape comments and jokes should be avoided completely. As an autistic adult who JUST turned 18 and has gone through virtual and physical sa and rape throughout my childhood, I would never wish anything to anyone else. It's a hell I have to live through everyday.
I used to be moots with Jax, and errrr. I didn’t instantly go look on who made the joke and put it off for a couple days. When I saw who it was I was shocked because they have came out about past experiences they have had with 🍇 and had it on private. It was interesting because I had praised him for being brave about coming out about his experiences. i dont think the issue began with him cosplaying jimmy, its rather how he deals with the characters actions. itd be way different if jax acknowledged jimmy is a terrible person for what he did to anya (and the rest of the crew) and appreciated him for other reasons like his writing and role throughout the game, character design, personality, etc. the issue truly began with making that gross ass joke, and to make it worse involving his little brother in it. theres tons of villains that good people cosplay, the thing that makes it fine though is that they dont AGREE with his actions, and are disgusted by them. ive cosplayed nikolai gogol (bungo stray dogs) for halloween this year, but i do not agree with terrorism or torture. i like him more for his personality and character design.

I can understand not understanding social cues, my mother just told me that I flirt with everyone I speak to because I'm attentive, laugh when told a joke and like good conversations, I was appalled because aaaaaaa????? However, there is a difference in "I lack in understanding of social cues which can lead people to interpreting my conversations as flirty/disinterested/aggressive/etc..." and "I lack social cues (Lying) I'm going to be a rapist apologist."
