CPA designation is vital to progress in the career as Accountant or any commerce/finance related profile in Canada and after CPA one can get CMA designation too to get any Managerial or Senior role in Finance Department or any organization.
The career options available for CPA designation holders are Senior Accountants, Internal Auditors, Financial Business Analysts, Finance Controllers and many other roles.

Can we also get a job there as an ACCA Affiliate and not ACCA Member.?

There is separate Provincial body for each province to regulate practicing Canada CPAs. There is separate membership. I am checking if this is relevant for job seekers.

Alisha the MRA of ACCA and CPA has expired on 30th April 2021. Now ACCA members have to appear for 7 exams including common final examination.
Thank you for the relevant information. I would appreciate if you can answer, Is CIA (certified Internal Auditor) valued in Canada ? If yes how much minimum pay one can expect with 5 years outside Canada experience along with CIA ?

As an accountants what I felt is just becoming an accountant will not teach you everything that you need. You need a good mentor and try to gather working experience under somebody who is experienced. I can never forget how i learnt many things from Maurice Bouchard who owns an bookkeeping firm in surrey called Bouchard and company.

I have one question that right now i am 29. I am CA intermediate and i am in africa on 2 year contract 5 months completed and then i can go india for 1 month vacation then again come for 1 year work and complete contract. my wife is in india she is BBA - Finance graduated and she is 27. We are planning to move Canada 🇨🇦. I think we can do that on. PNP program, Saskatchewan and Alberta will be our province as we preferred and think can go as our scores settle in there criteria - plz suggest when can we give exams, what will be processing time

I am member of both bodies, ACCA and CPA Canada (under MRA) but not successful in Canadian immigration. Little frustrated of paying annual subscription of ACCA/CPA. Is it worth to be good standing members of both bodies. Is visitor visa to work permit is a right solution, if finance can be managed.
