Good video, however, some slight things to note:
    - there are 6 core subejcts but if your bachelors or studies include auditing and tax CPA recognise you can do 2 electives instead
    - GSL doesnt have to be your last subject, but you can only start it once all core subjects are complete (so you can do all core, theb finish with electives).
    - Agree FR and GSL the hardest two, FR was for me as i also didnt have much work experience with a lot fo the course matter here, however GSL has a huge volume of material, so depending on your background 15 hours a week may turn into 25 hours... my recomendation is to do GSL after SMA as it builds heaps on SMA.
    - also DF has a huge amount of subject matter as well so time management with this is key. While i found CBI relatively easy and manageable.

Hello amie and jodie!😊 Thank you for this video, this is very informative that enlightened my new journey. Btw, I would like to ask, are we allowed to enroll for membership of CPA Australia while we are still studying in Australia or need to finish the course first before enrolling the program? Thank you.😇

Thanks for this video. This is so helpful! I’m just thinking to get a CPA. Is there any textbook that you used for studying? (Other than CPA website).

Hi Amie & Jodie! Thanks for the videoAnd love your content.
I am now enrolled for my first paper, Ethics and Governance.
And I have one quick question here hoping you can leave some answer :)
When you study through each papers, did you also make your own notes as you read through the textbook/ebook?
Given it is open book exam and it is more about how fast we find the information in the book. So as long as we remark the textbook to helps us finding quickly, note taking all the materials in my own words would be time wasting in terms of this exam, especially this Ethics and Gov unit.
Could you please share your experiemce and thoughts 🙏?
    Thanks you!!!

Hi Chloe, this is Jodie. Thank you for your comments. Glad to hear you have enrolled in the first course. Well done!
You have also raised a good question. The answer is yes.
Firstly, even though it is an open-book exam, you may have to prepare it as a closed-book one. I read the textbook "Ethics and Governance" twice and did as many practice questions as possible. Secondly, I also made notes, which helped me quickly locate the information I needed during the exam.
There is massive time pressure in the exam, so clear notes are essential.
In the exam, I answered most of the questions without looking at the information in the textbook and marked out the ones I was uncertain about. When I finished all questions, I then went back to the marked ones and searched the information in the textbook to confirm if my answers were correct.
This is my personal experience. I hope it is helpful.
Let's see if Amie has more to add in. 🙂
