Congratulations Jim and Lydia on getting your new tractor that I'm sure will open up many new projects in the future.
Thank you Keith!
Love your show, a fellow Cajun here. Love what you done to the house. Keep the laughter and smiles. Bless you
Thank you! Will do!
Love the new tractor. Nice of Jim to let you drive too. Paint on the house is nice too. Everything is looking wonderful. See y'all next week!
Thank you Mr. Charles!
As always you two have me laughing.
Watching Lydia out in the pond was hilarious 😊
I don't know any women in my life that would have done it.
And she's getting to drive the tractor.
That thing is awesome.
The last time I drove one it didn't look anything like that.
The thing I hated about that old Farmall the most was that bouncy metal seat.
Glad yours is working out for you.
Can't wait to see you really put it to work.
I know you didn't get it just for mowing.😊
Hey there Mr. Jim! Lydia actually volunteered and I definitely wasn’t going to argue with her😂 and yes sir we have plans to see just exactly what Big Red is made of!
That tractor is great! BRING THE THUNDER!
Thank you!!

Dark Grey looks nice on the outside of your Home.
You two built a beautiful House for your Daughter.
May God Bless your Family, more.
Thank you so much!
Lydia, you are fearless on that ladder
😊
Jim and is toys 😊 Or was it Lydia been smart and getting Jim out of the house, you be the judge 😂😅❤ Hot waders Lydia 😂😊 There’s always things to keep you busy, such a nice relaxing video. Until the next one 😊❤ FYI - so thought Jim would push Lydia in the pond 😊😅😂❤
Probably a mixture of both Robin😂😂 You are correct….. always tons to do 😁
Jim and Lydia you our the perfect couple, and your home is beautiful. Great job as always.
Thank you so much!❤️
There will now be those who say you didn’t need that big of a tractor. But I’m right there with ya. I’ve put the first few hours on a couple doing things I could have done by hand quicker just because it’s fun to play with big boy toys. Enjoy it, that first real scratch means it’s broke in and ready for real work.
That right Bobby! Always gotta get a feel for the new stuff before ya really put it to work!
We hope we are having a great week cousin Gerard!
Lydia you looked cute. You actually got the real work done. Weeding, painting and in the pond. Great job young lady. Have a great week
Jim covered more ground though, so good teamwork here!😁👏
Yall got this team working 😊😊
Thank you!! 😁
My aged hearing might be slightly off, was I hearing "windchill wipers, windchill washers...?" lol😊 Your comment about mosquitos roosting in the tall grass got me thinking "Why not create a small sanctuary for mosquito-eating birds such as swallows, and warblers? Also, dragonflies eat mosquitos. I'm sure with some research you might generate some ideas on how to attract these beneficial hunters. Also, keep an eye on that barbed wire wound, wash daily and apply a good antibiotic. If red streaks appear - seek medical attention immediately.
Great tips!
Get you a bunch of Martin house's that will take care of the mosquitoes.
I have a Mahindra E Max 25 and love it. Not as fancy as yours but have never had any problems with it. Still to wet here to do much but did get grass cut before this new batch of rain we are having now. Still can't get into garden to till. Y'all have a great week.
We absolutely love this thing so far! Makes the hard work so much easier Mr. Timothy! We got so much rain here yesterday. Our electricity was out for about 13 hours!
@@CajunCountryLivin Welcome to life in the country, but its still better than living in a city. But that's my opinion
The tractor is a great addition for you. I really like the color of the house. I always look forward to seeing what you are doing.
Thank you Mrs. Jill!
Lydia did real work while Jim played with his new toy in the paddock 😂😂. I bet you're very pleased Lydia that the painting is done. Two things, what was the purpose of removing the fence? and what were you using Lydia to weed? Jim hope you got the hang of the new tractor. Divide and conquer! Great team work, thanks for sharing.
We removed those posts because we installed them temporarily due to the drought we were having and now we need to retighten the fencing wire. The little weeding tool actually works awesome and costs less than $5! We will try to find the link.
It was a great show
Thank you!
Jim, looks like old red is working out. Lydia paint looks great. Glad no holes in the waders
And mostly glad no gaters tried to make a meal of ya
Yes!! No gators…that’s we saw!
You ever thought of setting up some bat boxes and/or purple martin houses by that grassy area and pond to help with the mosquitos?
I would love to have some bat boxes!! We are absolutely going to have some.
Nice tractor!!
Thanks Steve!❤️
Must be nice to have the Mrs paint the whole side of the house whilst you buzz around in an air conditioned cab 😂🤣😂
You two make a great team! Your place is really coming together!! Have a wonderful day!!!
If Jim would’ve offered to paint I would’ve said heck no. Painting is therapeutic to me like cutting the grass if for Jim. 😁
Thank you Mark!
Divide and conquer! Great teamwork as usual! With that new tractor you could put a pallet on the forks and slap some ply wood on it to fill in the gaps to make a platform and have Jim lift ya up to get that painting done up high. Here in Kansas my dad and I used to trim trees that way. Saves a lot of time and energy from having to go up and down the ladder + always seemed a bit safer than a ladder on the top rung.
Great idea!
Nice ride!
Thanks!
About 12 years ago we moved to 40 acres from town. We built a house, a shop and an office. The biggest mistake I made was not buying our tractor the day we closed on the property. I waited way too long.
Having equipment makes such a difference doesn’t it? We should’ve bought Big Red wayyyyy sooner!
Very happy to see y'all getting things done with the new tractor. Weather has been a bit crazy for you there and glad the sun is shining on you again.
Hopefully you guys got to see the eclipse today. Paint and grass look great 👍.
Thank you John! Slowly we are breaking it in! Yes. The weather has been WILD. We just had a spell of rain that only last a few hours, but flooded the yard. Argg!!! We hope it dries up soon! It was too cloudy for us to see. Did y’all get a good view?
@@CajunCountryLivin yes, s. Florida was about a 45% coverage, made the sun look like Pac-Man..
Wow! Roller painting the outside of a house! I would think one of your sponsors would have sent you a spray gun!
We did a sponsor with Wagner & actually used it on the rest of the house, but it was WAY too windy for it!
@@CajunCountryLivin I thought you did, nice tractor btw!
Great video guys. Big red looks like it’s the cat’s meow!!!! The back of the house looks way better with the paint Lydia! Glad y’all got to catch up on some spring time work.
Thank you Terence!
Good job Lydia and Jim, thanks for sharing! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙋🏼✌🏻
Thank you for watching Kirk!
@@CajunCountryLivin it’s nice to know I have a neighbor on Utube and I really enjoy watching your channel! Jim, you have an amazing family and home place, Lydia is a awesome partner and wife! Good to have country girl that helps you out and yall work great together! Lydia going in the pond to help you remove those t- post, well she did an amazing job! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Yall keep it up and stay safe out there, I’m a hop away in Lake Charles! Lydia even did a great job painting the house, pasture looks great Jim and really like the new addition to the homestead! Your new tractor looks great, Lydia is going to have to watch you with the cab and Air Conditioning! Lydia, watch Jim doesn’t fall asleep in that nice AC while he’s out bush hogging! lol 😂 thanks for sharing and I’ll be praying for you and your family and I’ll be waiting for the next episode of Country Living! Kirk from right down the road, sending prayers and positive energy to yall! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙋🏼✌🏻 Thanks for your response! 🙋🏼🙋🏼🙋🏼
A helpful hint...when caulking get a fat car washing sponge and get it good n damp and use it to wipe off the caulk on your fingers...easy rinse and really helps...my helpful hint for today...and when you are done with the tractor my yard needs mowing too! LOL
Thank you for the tip Steve! I’ll head over to your place to cut your grass just as soon as I finish here🤣😂
Another great video guys, cant believe Jim let you drive his new toy already, he must really luvs ya.
You mean.. I let Jim drive my tractor?😉
@@CajunCountryLivin Lol
Jim's face with the new tractor is priceless!!! Kid on Xmas!!! HA HA HA
Absolutely!😆
Lydia is a little worker. I ran a concrete business for 20 years and wish I had women that worked like her. She out works most the men I had working for me. 😂
I got screwed when it comes to workers.😂
True statement! Thank you for watching!
You'll have forks on the tractor ,silly girl, put a pallet on and stand on it to pull those fence posts. With Jim operating what could go wrong??? Lmao 😊
😂😂
Very nice tractor. Y'all needed one like that for sure. Don't give up on the little ones just yet. They'll have some purpose for sure.
Yes! We sure do. We will be selling 2 & keeping 2. We will be explaining soon!
Hey guys I’m still trying to catch up I’m only on ep 73 now. I went all the way back to the beginning of your videos cause I want to watch the whole process but I absolutely love the the look I have seen up to ep 73 can’t wait to catch up some on some more ep today. And hopefully I catch up to where you guys are at now lol. Also wanted to say hi as I’m from llandilo in Sydney Australia, which is country land nothing but grass and tree as far as the eyes can see and always so peaceful
Thank you so much for watching! We are so happy to have you watching our journey!
Put that loader down. Never run within it above the hood. Put tremendous side load stress on pins, mounts, and bushings. Also makes tractor unstable. Hope you have the rear tire loaded, if not you need 1500# on the three point whenever lifting heavier weight. Lifting with the loader transfers tremendous load onto front axle. You want the rear axle doing the push pulling it’s three or four times stronger than front end. Believe me, I know. Have 10’s of thousands hours tractor loader experience. Looking good.
Thanks for the tips!
Jim is going to have his chest popped out every time he mentions or gets near his new tractor! Now, get that shop done and get old blue and your truck ready for action! Love me some Cajun in the morning!
Absolutely! Let’s get it!
Absolutely LOVE the blue friend😍😍
Thanks friend! Great minds think alike. 😉
I obviously need a new pair of those kind of pliers because when I try to remove fence ties with it, they just slip.
😊
Hi Lydia and Jim; good to see you again! I was shocked to see how much Ladly has grown! I knew she had but until seeing her with the scale of the lower shash window heigth, didn't really realize just how much she had grown. I'm guessing she is going to take after you Lydia, tall and lean. You accomplished quite bit on the house and once again, impressed me with your work ethic and can do attitude. Seeing Jim in the tractor, beaming with pleasure, was a lot of fun to watch. I love the key fob attachment Jim. Lydia, you also seemed pretty happy and satisfied with it, in the scene at the end. It's a very nice tractor and I'm certain with be a real work horse on the homestead and be a real blessing. I look forward to seeing it moving the next container. Have a great week and be safe, take care. Larry, Central Valley, Ca.
Thank you so much Larry! Always enjoy reading your comments!
A.M. F.M, Tilt and it still has that new tractor smell.
Yes!! 😁
You guys had me worried. I thought you were putting videos out on Wednesdays and Sundays nothing played last week. I thought oh no, they’re not making videos anymore. Thank god you’re back. Thanks because I love watching them. Thought maybe you divorced Jim because he got the new tractor. Haha!
Lol! Thank you for not giving up on us! We’ve got a ton of things about to kick into high gear around here😁😁😁
It seems we're all enjoying The Captain Croc Mobile!
Yes!! I should really make a sticker to put on the side saying that!😂
Jim check out Nathan at Out of the Woods he has a mower that he pulls behind his tractor that is a nice setup
Will do Mr Freddie!
Looks like Jim just lost his new tractor 😂. It does look like it's a workhorse. Next week a 10' mower?
I knew I would get booted out of the seat quick Charles😂 A 10’ mower would be outstanding!!
20:18
Hey Jim,
She earned the right to take the New Red Toy for a Test Drive.
But you could've asked Lydia for a Photo-ID and a Credit Card, until she returned the Tractor.
LOL
Lol! Very true!
Nice tractor. Lydia looking absolutely stunning.
😊
Wow nice tractor love the Ferrari red makes it go faster🤣I’ve been bitten more than once by barbwire good job later y’all.❤️😎🇺🇸
Thank you Joe!!🚜
Oooof that zinc leaves a sting!
@@CajunCountryLivin yea it does
Great video.
Thanks!
Always seems to be something to do around the place, yall. Not gonna lie, I was secretly waiting for Lydia to faceplant in the water when she was trying to go under the fence. Well, either that or I was waiting for Jim to splash her with something 🤣🤣🤣 Sorry Lydia!! But it would have been hilarious. Love the new tractor and cant wait for more content putting it to good use. Great job on getting the painting done as well. Better you than me up on the tippy top of that ladder! My arch nemesis gravity is up there! See ya next time, yall!!
Bodie in tha house! Jim here….. I was completely expecting Lydia to slip in that pond too! I had some great idea to make some funny things happen but then I thought…. I have better behave lol! Hope your week is off to a great start!
You will be mowing all the time in that tractor 👍👍
So many projects we can’t wait to tackle now!
Now, Jim, it looked like Lydia was doing all the hard work, and you were just playing around 😂 that ain't right😂! But it was fun, wasn't it😂! Nice tractor 🚜! I hope y'all have a blessed week catch you on the next one❤🙏🙏
Cedric!!!! How’s it going friend? Man Lydia always does the hard work😂😂😂 Can’t hide that😂 It sure was fun😁 Hope you have a great week too bud and tell the fam we said hello!
@CajunCountryLivin I sure will, my friend!! We are all fat and sassy. That's all we can ask for! They said hi 🙏🙏🙏🙏
plenty of projects ticked off well done
😊
CONGRATS on your new ride.
Thank you!
That's a nice tractor, how many horsepower? I really like the color of your house. Looks like you're about done with the outside of your house. Have a great week 😊
Hey Steve! It’s a 75hp. We love the color! Next time y’all come, hopefully you’ll have able to see it!😁
@@CajunCountryLivinlooking forward to that.
Are you guys ok? We're seeing storm damage and flooding across Louisiana and we don't know where you are, but we hope and pray you're ok.
We are doing good! Thank you for checking on us. We got 4.5” of rain and our power was off for 13 hours, but we didn’t get any damage!
You are a tough lady, fight thru the pain.
Yes sir!
In 06 I bought a new Red tractor the cab was 3k extra. I said that cabs are for sissy's. For many years I fed cows in the rain snow sleet and wished I had a cab. Good job on the selection you will love it.
We thought the same thing but just decided to go for it! So happy that we got the cab!
Loving the BIG RED HOOTIS!!!
Thank you!
You a lucky man Jim, My wife would never let me ride around in an air cooled tractor while she painted the house, it just wouldn't work🤣
Lol! I’ve got it made Roy😂
Man that tractor is NICE!
Lidia, you didn’t see the gator eyes lookin at you? KIDDING
🐊👀👀👀
I was just researching tractors. For the Mahindra, be sure to check the tightness of the main bolts securing the subframe as they can loosen up over time.
Thank you for the tip! I’ll keep a close watch!
It must of been the lighting because Lidia with that red scarf on looks lovely now. Sorry Lidia for the bad remarks about the way you looked a while ago.
Haha, I must’ve missed the first comment. 🤣 As long as Jim likes it I guess it doesn’t matter. 😂
Love your new tractor brother yall deserve it
Thank you!!
That tractor too fancy for a Cajun. Next yall gonna have ac on yalls pirogue lol😂
Lol! Now that’s a great idea😁😁😁🥶
👍👍😀
👸 Lydia and 🤴Jim.
Have a wonderful week Cajun Family! 👨👩👧
Thank you Thomas! We hope that you have an awesome week too!
@@CajunCountryLivin 👍👍🌟'S 🤟 y'all
Tractor makes things easier in life to get done.
Thank you!! We couldn’t agree more!
You should look into a fogger. And fog for mosquitos and other flying biting bugs. Not to costly and dose away with the chance of catching something from being bit,
We are open to any options at this point. Are there any that you suggest?
I just discovered that croc boots are a thing!
I KNOW!!🤣😂
Love the new tractor! Might I suggest buying an 18” roller or airless sprayer to paint your house. That’s a lot of extra work with that little roller!! A little bit deeper on that brachial artery cut and we’d have a whole different video. Ouch! I hope your tetanus shot is up to date.
😊😊
Had you been wearing an Arm Protector 9000 Hootis, that barb woulda broke right off 😂
That’s right! 😂
Lydia, please come paint my house! lol I need to paint this house but I'm just getting too old to tackle that stuff by myself. Great job!
Be there in a jiffy!🖌️
Hi ya all good luck on moving containors
Thanks!
I do love you kids❤, but dang Lydia. You dang near gave this old great grandma a heart attack balancing on the top of that ladder. 😮😮😮
I’m so sorry😂 I just had to get that last little bit!
Jim has got himself a fancy tractor 😂🎉
Yes!!!
Looms to me like NEW RED . You need to get those white full body hazmat suits to work outdoors in to fend off the mosquitos, haha.
What make tractor did yall buy? I cant seem to catch the name onnit
Yes!! No JOKE!!!
LMAO ! Told y’all he was getting one
😂😂
New tractor....#$%! You're killin' me Smalls!

I sure hope you checked those waders for spiders before you jumped in them.
I sure did! 😂
Lydia why didn't you fall in the water you know I needed a good laugh today! LOL
I’ll remember that for the next video Brian! 😂
I don't know, but that sure looks like auto pilot to me! @20:14
Haha!!
Hey guys, whats the status of the patio? Is the cover still in the works? Ya`ll poured the slab and set the posts, and then moved on. Just wondering...
This summers project. Its priority got bumped down but we can’t wait to get it done!
👍
😊
Young lady !!! Do you have you Tetanus booster???
I stopped getting mine in the early 70s. LOL Great video!!!
Yes I do! Thank goodness 😅
You could've titled this Video:
Give Daddy the New RED Tractor, and you guys can do whatever else you choose.
Jim deserves to play with the New Family Toy.
Worked too hard, built a House with the help of his Wife..
It's only Fair 😂
👍
Lol! This is great!😂
You’re killing me in this video. Your property is a great place to put some honey bees. All that clover and wild flowers are great food sources for all pollinators. If you want to help, stop mowing until about August 1st.
We would LOVE to have honey bees! We will have to have @thelifeinpines come help us get ours started!
We would love to leave the clover, but it hides poisonous snakes and with our little one it’s not worth the risk. 🐍
It's Thursday morning and Marie and I have been thinking about ya'll all night! Hope everyone is safe and you didn't have much damage from the storms.❤
Good morning and thank you both for checking on us! We got 4.5” of rain and was without power for 13hours but we didn’t get any damage 😊 So kind of y’all to think of us! We appreciate y’all!
@@CajunCountryLivin Great news!🥰
If there is a hole in the waders you will come out looking like an Oompa Loompa😅
That would’ve been funny Bruce!
You need to update the paint on the hog.
Definitely so Mr. John!
I wondered if you all seen many snakes.
Always! 🐍
I missed a video RED TRACTOR .lol
Haha 😂😂
Jim, do you think, if I promise to be a good boy, Lydia will buy me a tractor too?😁
Definitely Mr. Henry! It might say “Tonka” on the package though!😂

That’s right. Two showers per inch. One shower an hour. Let us know how it turns out!
@CajunCountryLivin Thank you I didn't put a finish on it because it'll be underground with block on it for my addition to the house ilk let you know thanks for getting back to me
