You don't shake it because the product will trap bubbles in the can that will not pop on their own. I made that mistake once!
Good to know!
Correct
Ladly is so stinking adorable 😍. Definitely want to see progress on the truck(s)!!
Coming up!🛻
Would love to see Jim's process on the truck. I bet it turns out great.
Thank you!
I'd LOVE to see the 2 a.m. truck building process. Y'all are busier than a 1 arm paper hanger 😂
Coming up!🛻
Hahah, no sleep for the wicked🤪
If you shake the poly you will add bubbles to it and therefore to the finished product.
Good to know!
Our swamplands have so much to offer from groceries to ............ furniture !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely i would love to see how the truck comes along. Please show as you build it.
Coming up!🛻
Shaking causes tiny air bubbles to become entrained in the PU and will leave the finish with a milky looking finish. It is best to stir it with a paint stirrer for best results. Your lamps came out great. Your little knee looks like a little bunny rabbit.🙂
Thanks for the tip Mr. Jim!
A big 10-4 on showing the progress of the Frankenstein Chevy y'all.
Will do Robert!
I definitely want to see the process of the truck transformation.
Now about that truck....with winter coming on, you can make that truck one of those chilly, wet winter projects that get done in the barn over time. So, I figure in just 142 winters, that truck should be just about perfect. Thanks for another great show with zero "kneed" for revision.
That seems like a valid timeline 😂
I love how you can just get things from your land and incorporate into something useful 🥰.
Me too!!
I love restoration videos so please do make a video or three on this. Whatever you have time for.
Coming up!🛻
Let’s see the truck stuff 😂😂😂
Coming up!🛻
Yes progress on the truck will be wonderful to watch.
Coming up!🛻
would love to see a video on the lamp process? you guys just have way too much fun! your daughter is so cute & always smiling love it!
Thanks for watching!
Definite same!
I would love seeing a new truck being born for sure!!!! Need to finish the garage area and we are in business of making a fine truck from two trucks...
Awesome! And definitely need that shop done!
Those are beautiful cypress knees. If you take that bark off, the wood is beautiful.
😊😊😊😁
Grew up on the calcasieu river. 😁
Your homemade lamps: NICE! I love them! Art in Calif.🤓
Thank you very much Mr. Art!
When we lived in Savannah, GA. my wife grabbed a bunch of Spanish Moss to decorate around the house with. She found out later that the gnats breed in there. We had bugs all over the house!
Oh no!!!
Yess! My mom was a floral designer back in the day and would bake her moss in the oven for a bit to kill the bugs.
Oh my I can follow the trucks saga! Lol. Love the family memories made.
Coming up!🛻
I broiled my cypress knee in a big crawfish pot to remove the bark then varnished it then wood burn crawfish on it
Excited to see the truck build.... your little girl is adorable..
Thank you!
My daddy made lamps out of these, but he removed the bark first. This brings back sweet memories ❤️
😊😊
Um…the truck idea makes complete sense to me! Hahaha. I love it
Thank you!
I am an old car and truck fan! That will be Great Content Too! Country Living means Not Going and Buying New Trucks!!!!!
Coming up!🛻 that’s a fact!!💪
I had a 1983, Chevy pu 305 engine had under 100,000 miles. I sold it before moving to Arizona it was in mint condition I wish I had it now. My 2018 bighorn ram is having head gasket issues w 122,978 miles on it. Very cool wood decoration. ❤❤
I bet it was super nice truck Melissa!
I can no wait to see more ruck stuff along with all our guys other projects you do.
Coming up!🛻
My brother and I would buy 2 or 3 wrecks and end up with some nice rides. I am a shade tree mechanic, and he was a body man, plenty of tools and good times. He is gone now but I still have some pleasant memories and a 1998 Doge 2500 diesel that just keeps going strong.
I’ll bet y’all made some really cool projects together!
Friday nights were friends over many times with wife's or girlfriends, lots of BS , some wrench turning, and a bit of adult beverage. Those were the days.
Truck updates. BRING THEM ON!!!!!!
You can put your propane tank in a milk crate. They slide right into them and keep them from rolling around.
Joe
Good idea!! Thank you!
YES, Show Any and All of the work you do on the Truck 🛻 in with Everything else as you do it..!!! 😎👍👏🥳
Will do Anna!
I would like to see everything concerning both trucks ! ! ! Looking forward to see the lamp progress !
Coming up!🛻
Lamp🎉turned out great, will be fun watching you fix up your truck. 🛻
Thank you!

We agree!🤪🛻🤫
Yes sir keep us posted on the truck those lamps are great
Coming up!🛻
I'm so happy you bought a Chevy. My first P/U was a 1993 Siveraldo Extended cab Sport Bed and I loved it. Can't wait to see how it turns out.
Coming up!🛻
Yes, let’s see some truck work. It’s nice seeing a mix of stuff from everyday life
Jim you are a Hoot! I love listening to your shenanigans. We you both have great ones actually! You both are great to watch. I love your personalities and how well you both work so well together. I see other UA-camrs call things hootis tools lol. Have you patent the name yet? LOL. Take care, Michelle from Idaho
Thank you so much Michelle! Thank you for watching!
i watch vice grip garage, so i'll certainly watch the truck build.😀
Coming up!🛻
Oh my word, lol... "I love the moss hair on all three of you." ~God Bless from North Fort Myers, FL
I like the old foot test on the air gadget for the tires
The ole calibrated foot check…. Works every time 😂
I really like that look on you Jim!😂
💇💇💇
Love those lamps. What a great idea.
Thank you! 😊
By the way, if you put your moss in the freezer for a bit, you'll kill off any creepy crawlies hiding in there.
Great minds think alike!!
I too would like to see Jim’s process and progress on the truck project.
Can't wait to see her painting the truck for you he he he🤠🤠🤠TN
That young lady is gonna be a heartbreaker, so watch out Poppa your going to have your work cut out 😂😂❤️❤️
😅😅😅
If you can put that Chevy back in original condition, that truck would be worth some money. I loved that body style. Good luck in getting it back up and running!
Coming up!🛻
Ladly is so adorable. Such a wonderful family.❤❤❤
Thank you!
I'm excited for you, Jim! I looked for a specific truck for years and when I finally found it, I bought it the next day! Unfortunately, I'm in NY (vehicles don't last long here at all) so my baby has been laid to rest (in our own personal junk yard lol). She's a red, '95, single cab, Z71, stepside with a 5.7L. I loved her soooo much! 💔😭
The lamps are unique different last but least they looks fabulous what a brilliant idea.
Thank you!!
Hello, love the lamps. Seeing ya'll working on the truck would be cool. Thanks for video
Thanks 👍
Would love to see the progress with your truck rehab Jim!
Coming up!🛻
I was just thinking that y'all needed a another project since you didn't have enough going on. 😄
I would be interested in watching the process of merging two trucks into one.
Sometimes I think we are a little too ambitious 😂
Sounds like a plan!
I love watching you guys all the time
Thank you so much!
Definitely need to see truck(s) updates. Square body Chevy rock, even step sides. 😁
Coming up!🛻 😃
There's nothing wrong with the propane tank conversion. The tank is thicker and stronger than air tanks that size. You'll probably put 120 PSI in it, but it would probably hold 500 PSI. Remember all you safety rangers out there, if everything is perfectly safe, nothing gets done. If it's 99% safe, you get half of everything done. If it's 97.5% safe, you get everything done!
😁😁
Hi Lydia and Jim. Loved this vid!! I knew it was going to be good when Ladly appeared in the opening scenes. What a sweetie that little cutie pie is. It was nice seeing her so much in this one. Lydia you may have revealed a new opportunity for yourself, very impressive as you were crusing the runway with your Enernova over the shoulder. 😉 I loved you all gather the moss, especially Ladly's reaction when placed on her head. I laughed out loud seeing Jim with his new under the cap style. River Bottom Outdoor Furniture....Y'all are a real hoot. Do not shake to minimize the chance of bubbles in the solution. I love the trucks - my son and I are car guys and we've totally rebuilt and restored 3 now that were in far worse shape than the truck. Parts you can't source locally from wrecking yards LMC Truck Parts will have. You can build and entire truck right out of their catalogue. That project will be a lot of fun for you guys and I wouldn't mind at all seeing occasiounal updates on the progress. Y'all have a great week ahead. Larry, Central Valley, Ca.
Always a pleasure reading your thoughtful comments Mr. Larry!
The stuff you call moss we call grandfathers whiskers in Australia it is a air plant that grows on trees
Neat!😁
I would have removed the bark from the cypress knees and put square shades on them, just a thought, but yours are very pretty, and yes I would love to see video updates on your trucks, my brother and I we used to buy old trucks and cars and restore them, lots of work but lots of Fun.😊😊😊❤❤❤
Thank you Paula! We are definitely ready to get started!😁
Yeah for the truck!
Here's to the 200K people that love your family
Love this comment!😊😊
I'd love to see the process on the truck!! That would be a nice little add on.. Not sure when Jim will have time.. Good luck
Coming up!🛻
You two are SO Creative!!!!!!!! The small one looks like a bunny rabbit!💞👍👏🥰
Thank you! 😊
Love love love the trucks. Keep us updated.
Will do! Thank you for your feedback!
Stir the finish I’m a wood worker/furniture builder and use it a lot, if you use it on a table surface avoid water for a good time for curing, water spots will be a problem but in the lamps you will have no problem, you guys are doing such a great job on your place, your Alaskan friend
Hey Jim, I would like to see the progress on the trucks
Coming up!🛻
Thank you. Keep trucking….
Thanks!
I like the lamps and the trucks hope to see more on the trucks
Coming up!🛻
It's basically the same as the portable air tank I have. Put 120psi in and go. Need air turn the shut off and add air. Then refill it when needed. Looks cheaper than what I paid for mine.
We love it!
Don’t shake because it causes air pockets or bubbles in your finish….. the biscuits you cut off can be used as drink coasters….
Yes post the work on the trucks
Coming up!🛻
Love to see the rebuild of the New Truck i bet it turns out looking fantastic as well, so go ahead and get that 'Grease Lightning' song on 😎😎🤣🤣
Take Care and Stay Safe,
Barry (UK)
I got in late on this one. I'm excited by the trucks. My bro has a '96 4x4 step side like this one. The clear coat was peeling off two thirds of the dog house. I sanded and painted it for him this summer. Not perfect, but it looks better. Black, on Black, in Black! I have a spare grille, but again....a little peeling clear coat, and no Bowtie. Great video kids!
22:18
Jim,
Send it to "Q", he'll fix it for you.
Red door, Blue door, confirms you're with MI-6
😆
Definitely make videos about working on the trucks.
Coming up!🛻
I think a Brand new 90's hootis vehicle is a perfect idea. I hope the inspector feels the same
Thanks for sharing
Y'all gonna get chigers messing with that Spanish moss
Hi! We put it in the freezer for a few days before putting it out!
Sure keep us updated on the truck.
Coming up!🛻
Love the lamp you create out of the wood pieces
Let’s see the truck videos. Can’t wait for it, come on.
Let’s do it!!
Cool moss wig! Like the hootis trucks too
Thank you 🤗😝
Oh yeah, I can see some new UA-cam channels in the making ? Jim's Auto Repair Shop ! and maybe a Lydia's Home Designs channel too. Ton's of Love and Best Wishes to you all from East Anglia UK.
Lamps looks AMAZING!! .. but Jim's "hair upgrade" that was THE video moment! Good luck on the truck(s). As a Chevy 300,000+ mile driver, I totally agree with the selection.
Thank you Matt!! I always wanted flowing curly locks😂 We are ready to get this truck going!
Don't shake it because bubbles will form and they don't pop easily. I use that product all the time.
Good to know!!
One day at a time and i know you guys got this love you guys
Thank you Sharon!
Those trucks are great I wanna see all the work done the black one has so much potential especially with that 350 small block and it is this delete to a carburetor. It will clean up so nice. My son drives a 1988 chevy, it was his first vehicle he ever bought and he loves it
Love to see you guys on the truck too thanks for all your videos!
Coming up!🛻
I would like to see the truck repair videos. He was smart to buy the trucks 👀.
Coming up!🛻
I remember that first video and I was hoping you would put a couple by the fireplace. They look beautiful. Putting up some truck restoration videos would work but dang, y'all have so much going on. I'm still waiting for kitchen counters. Love Ladly's overalls, she's so cute. Maybe one day we'll catch Jim with his hat off. 😂
We would also love to see the side project(s) and progress on the truck!
Tip for your Husband. If you put the propane bottle in a milk crate, it won't roll around in the bed of the truck or side by side. the 2 big monkey wrenches that the older bottles need for connecting and disconnecting will also fit in the milk crate with the propane bottle ;)
learned that from a coonass friend of mine 🙂
Looking forward to the truck build, The portable air hoodis is great have had one for years, got mine from a local refill station that had a bad one come in they couldn't fill and was going to scrap.
Coming up!🛻
That’s good to know!
I definitely want to watch the truck building process
