I've been on Carnival Cruises several times. The representation of these optimistic crew members is so accurate. They would be hyping up even the hellish of circumstances.

Jay Pharoah is so good at impressions. I wish he hadn't been let go. What SNL were thinking, I have no idea.
Well Michaels is known for how ruthless he is in cutting the fat for SNL. Either focus groups didn't like Pharoah enough or the guy did something to piss off Lorne

frankiegetup Doesn't matter much. SNL and sketch comedy are going downhill in general. I used to hate it when people complained about the new shows sucking, but after going through a lot of sketch content, I totally agree.
By piss off Lorne I mean Lorne has a zero tolerance policy on drug taking, alcoholism or other behaviour which affects their work. He's told cast members in the past that they're out if there is any hint of that
In all seriousness, I woke up from a 9 day coma to this playing on the tv of my ICU room... It made me laugh then and still does today

I woke up from a 14 day coma to see the West Memphis Three finally got sent free. Damion Echols grew up on Death Row for a crime he didn’t commit. I was so happy! I had a tube down my throat and couldn’t speak, but I was just so happy to see him free.

Literally thought this was a covid sketch until I looked up at the monitor and saw it was Jason sudeikis in like 2012
Why are people saying that? What made you think it had anything to do with Covid? There are no masks or mention of disease, and it starts off with it being a cruise, an activity which many in fact cancelled due to the pandemic.
Someone else said "this hits different after Covid!". How?
@@WinkLinkletter i have to assume that people were stranded on a cruise when covid hit, probably from one person getting sick and then they all had to quarantine. or something like that. i didn't really pay attention to the news when covid was starting to spread, so :/
@@WinkLinkletter at the beginning of 2020 the cruise ship Diamond Princess reported positive cases of COVID and had to quarantine. By the time the quarantine was over, 712 people had been infected aboard the ship- this number made up over half of the total worldwide cases (outside of China) at the time. 14 people died and it was a huge story and outbreak, so i assume that’s why people are associating this sketch with COVID

This happened to me at the beginning of 2020. I was arriving at the port in China, and the virus just started in those days. We were not allowed to go down from the cruise and we stay there for a long long period of time. Feels almost like this sketch....amazing.

Rarely breaks and her characters are all unique. Instead of its just the same person in costume trying 2b someone different. Each character has their own Spark like Kristen Wiig and Jim Carrey
