When the 2nd lady came in to sit down and he retells the story the 1st go around for her and she just says ‘yeah’ felt natural because his story was just so interesting😂
Beck's delivery, in that bizarre "Dutch" accent, is great. We don't know until the very end of his comment whether his character is going to like or dislike the story.
Yeah a little. Do you know much about corn bread? Pete Davidsons character was talking about how he wanted to make some, and he found a recipe, but it said to use buttermilk, be he only had regular milk, so it came out to moist. Anyway he cooked it longer, but that made it dry and crumbly.
Gah. This exact thing happened to me recently, I told a guy in the lunchroom that I bought a house, and of course had to tell about it. Then another guy comes in "Oh, you bought a house? Where?" and 2 minutes later it happened again, and again...
Tbh, to Americans, the entire gamut of European accents are: French, and then a combination of Muppet level Swedish, German, and Russian to represent every other country.
Well, that's refreshing. Usually, when a cut after dress rehearsal sketch appears on UA-cam, people cry and whine about how it shouldn't have been cut because it was actually funny. This is an example of why cutting sketches after dress rehearsal can be a good thing.
This is the longest I've seen Pete go without breaking.
This was the funniest Pete ever was.
He was using all his concentration to read English.
He takes his cornbread very seriously
That's how they realized the script wasn't funny.
That's ecause he's lived for 30 years, and in that time he's never told a story so boorriingg.
when you forget to copy and paste so you have to type it all again
😂😂😂
I love this skit about retelling because that is sooo true.
Maybe I'm crazy, but I loved this one. Pete did amazingly in it.
You're crazy
Add a little white vinegar to the milk for a buttermilk substitute.
Exactly what I was thinking & expecting the prospective client or someone to say, heh.
Or lemon juice or orange juice
Great tip!
Ugh, now you tell us! Too late to win Jorgen’s business I’m afraid.
Everybody has vinegar, but don't go punching wolves at the zoo.

I could feel that they knew this sketch was dead
Pete didn't break down. Obviously.
I’ve watched SNL since inception. This is a classic style of the show. Hilarious!
Brilliant ending, but it was a kind of long journey to get there. Davidson was great, of course.
Was it just me or did Heidi miss her line and Aidy jumped in and said it?
Yeah somebody definitely missed their line and Aidy saved it😂
I'm from South Carolina. I thought the joke was Keenan was going to know how to make cornbread...and...oh, somebody gone get offended now....
Heheeeee love Pete 💜💜💜
Hi folks, I got here late, so I was only able to see the last ten seconds of this clip. Did I miss anything? 😛
Yeah. The boat
So, Pete Davidson has been underrated by SNL for years and …
@Mr.Ferrari-Rael ...and he's dry and crumbly now. Thank goodness for chili.
@@letsgobrandon6281😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😅!

Hey. That was a great shaggy dog story! Haven’t heard one in years.
I like the skit! I love cornbread!
Ain't nothin wrong with that

Like opening a door for a stranger and more people keep passing through.
Lol was he Dutch or a caricature of an 1800s Austrian psychoanalyst? 😂

what is beck bennett's character's accent?
Conversation Destruction: THIS. * Cav *
well, i see why this was cut.
*** SPOILER ALERT ***
Well to be fair, having to punch a wolf at the zoo hardly sounds fun.
Norm would have liked this skit…
Corn smacks
You guys know dress is to see if it works right? Like they agree it wasn’t funny it didn’t make it
Was this cut for time? Do you have more?? It’s always so hard to find those clips 😭
Now that it's been taken down, I can say it's from a dress rehearsal copy of the episode that was on Internet Archive
Cool. How did you find this?
Who? Me?
@@wolfyboy no
@@Dharqness Be nice to him, Pete Davidson just punched him at the zoo.
It was in my recommended
@@jasonmurdoc9533 I meant where did the guy who posted it find the sketch?
This sketch doesnt work. Lorne made the right call to cut it.

Baby Steve Buscemi hit Kim K also, lol.
Oh my!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣LOL
Pete #SNL50
The joke is that Pete Davidson had to do this crap for 5 min
@@LuckyJim5050 I agree. Never had I had cringed so hard at a sketch since the Mario trial one with Elon Musk.
Yup. Joke's on him. 🤷♀️
Pete Davidson deserves an Oscar! That dude has been seriously underrated
😂😂😂
A swing and a miss...
Maybe if they'd gotten an ACTOR to play the part that Pete plays, it might have worked.
him and keenan are beefing
I bet Pete Davidson got the biggest laugh at his dress atire! Work casual normal.
Pete is such a bad actor, we can actually see him read the stage directions, like [notice Kenan enter]. 1:17
It's a rehearsal.
This is terrible, what happened to the writer's of back in the day? Why had the shows standards gone?
How does anyone enjoys Pete Davidson’s humor. Most of what the guy does falls flat. He rarely, if ever, hit it out of the park on these sketches.
Who wrote this really unfunny crap?
ANNND this is why we have Dress Rehearsal
Sooo annoying
SNL needs to do better
I watched SNL for a while. Pete Davison is not so funny. And this sketch proves it. I guess he has a big....and a lot of tatoos...
lame
davidson is NOT funny
I think he is the most funny
He can be. This skit sucks is all.
Thank You. More people need to realize this. And the low bar this numb-boy has set for acting and comedy.
The Original SNL was much better. Sorry, but it was.
pete and leslie were the worst things to happen to snl
Which one is Leslie?
Leslie Jones was apart of a lot of funny sketches.
You never ever had to watch it.
@@Brok3n_54 They aren’t THAT BAD. Sure, both of them have their flaws, but they are still good comedians in their own right.
Hard disagree on both counts.
