Nice work! Pretty much what I was thinking of doing. I was just searching around on the web for someone with the same thought of repair. Tight lines! Be well! 🐟🐟🐟
Literally just snapped my rod on sunday.was going to throw my rod away.
Definitely going to try this.
OK I couldn’t find a nail that was the right size but I did find an old drill bit. It did the trick fit just about perfect the epoxy took up the rest of the space.
Good video thanks bro !
I couldn't find a nail small enough was thinking about the drill bit and I ended up using a hook shank I cut the hook and the eye off sweet fit
Good work homie, keep it up!
Thanks buddy 🤘
Your video is 3 years in the past now, so I hope you see this. I've watched a few videos this morning of repairs and in each the ends of the rod are squared off using a hacksaw. Each time I watched the videos I wondered, doesn't the fiberglass tear at the last cut of the hacksaw? So, wouldn't taping the cut area prior to hacksawing prevent tear out?
This is possible the worst thing you can do. That section is now going to have 0 flex and going to snap again on any large fish. You’d be better off re tipping the end and just making it a shorter rod
is it really strong to handel the weight? cause mine just got dent
I broke my rod and just rednecked it with a coat hanger and jb weld lol
Wo god woork
Thank you!
You should really watch a few other video's of this repair from professionals so you can learn to do it RIGHT.....
