“Do not dumb here. Not dumb area here.”
Literally all of twitter be like
Not just twitter, sadly.
@@mrr1132 I'd like to see you name an example or two.
@@firestone181 Tiktok, Instagram, basically all of social media.
Your opinion doesn’t matter
@@AmtrakCitiesSprinter64 And so you and me, in fact everyone opinion doesn't matter just because lol.

"Do not dumb here. Not dumb area here." I'm stealing that.
its not stealing if no one complains
Do not steal here, no steal area here
I'm gonna put that on a sign and place it on Capitol Hill. Half the politicians in my country will lose their jobs instantly.
6:27 It's supposed to say that. It's a beauty salon and it means something like "you may be useless but at least you can be pretty and useless here". Not the best slogan if you ask me.
9:27 No mistake here. The brand name is Want Want and it's actually a well-known snacks brand in China.
Once in an English class in middle school, we had an exercise to write a text about animals. I used google translate to cheat. I spent half of the lesson talking about proteins jumping between branches, because in my native language proteins and squirrels sound the same
Google Translate has gotten way better these days. You can translate entire sentences with pretty good accuracy. Tested it with some of my foreign friends and it had like a 99% accuracy when we used it.
@@brothersandsistersofvalhalla Yep, I noticed that too)
Did everyone in your classroom at the time (including the teacher or not) burst out laughing or was it only your english teacher who burst out laughing?
@Ecard Ecardian What was translated and when was this?
@Ecard Ecardian I think it's the fact it's from a yank, not google's fault
1:36 From my limited knowledge of Japanese, what that actually says is "Do not dump trash here"
More accurate is "Please don't throw your trash here". Japan tend to use polite wording 😉
In short "dumb" in that sign is actually "dump". Got it.
Literally the other day, I saw a misspelled sign saying "Dogs on leaches"...
The only problem is I can't decide what "on leaches" actually means.
Dogs must be on leashes is a common sign on beaches. Someone must have been in a hurry.
Yeah, what the hell happened there?
A leash is a lead (the one pronounced "leed"). A leach is a type of bloodsucking animal that used to be used in medicine in medieval times because people didn't know about the human body
@@peter_kitsune Actually, that's a leech. To leach is a verb meaning to dissolve out a substance.
7:10 yeah as an american i can confirm that those are synonyms for america. except big check paydays. that's only a small portion of america.
also holy shit that's a scarily good accent. good job jack.
I'm so jealous of Emily.. she gets not only the first premier of Jack's videos, she gets the "behind the scenes" and "making of" bonus features!
Then again I guess it depends on how many hours go into these videos.. as there's surely a point where you can have too much Jack!
1:24 - does not contain zero to three sad onions.
The Korean restaurant at 7:36 is Lotteria if I remember correctly, which is an enormous chain. (It's the local equivalent of McDonald's and is about as common in SK). I always thought the text was supposed to be some kind of poem.
2:05 Such a violent and ferocious sweet kamote potato

8:15 had me crying 💀💀
10:54 that root beer is pronounce as Bark's(Barq's). Barq's had a ad of "Barq's has more bite." Also see the A&W root beer thick head ads.
I’m surprised no one knew the pronunciation considering it’s popular, at least up here in Ohio it’s 2nd to A&W
Also Coca-Cola Zero (as in "zero sugar") is a thing.
Jack can’t read cursive, it was a real Mug Moment.
I know the story behind the image of 8:25 ! The mans english wasn't the best and he though the word was something like Huge or Big like you'd see with other sales. So they went all in and posted this all over their store!
Man that fuckin' sale slogan really eye catching and can be quite funny.
Yes! It was a department store in Japan and the fact that it worked in that context makes it even funnier. 😂

The “fuckin’” one might be intentionally cause some countries don’t know it’s a slur but instead think it’s a way of saying “extremely good” cause American tourist are horrible
It's not a slur. It's a swear. Very different.
"it's a slur" ok bud you can tell yourself that
@@brothersandsistersofvalhalla All swears are slurs but not all slurs are swears, so actually the nomanclature stands.
@@QuackersMcCrackers Swears/Swear words are not slurs. Slurs are insults directly targeting a group or identity meant to demean them. Swears are just words that a specific society has deemed inappropriate to use that don't specifically target any group or identity.
To be honest I’m glad because it’s not like Western Europeans are any better have you seen the way they act while visiting New York or LA?
- 8:16 Japan stores are wild.
- 9:27 That's an actual brand name, not a typo. I know cause I've eaten their rice crackers before.
The first one is "Becareful of falling into the water"
Bedshit? Is that Amber Heard's latest business venture? Good to know she does all sizes.
2:08 Jack, the snack the smiles back, humiliating Filipinos since 1996
Ah, the snack that makes us smile.
I’ve never laughed so hard at anything in my life until I saw this video. Thank you for filling me with such joy on this fine day.
Frre sounds completely different in Danish than Free. It sounds more like Fray.
8:20 I'm pretty sure it's in japan.
and the "Call of the Witch" insert is so perfect. xD
Yep, that's in Japan.
13:21 - I see nothing wrong here. Speaking (or in this case "spiking") is not the same as writing (which would probably be "raiting"). For all we know their spoken English is nice and proper with a perfect British accent.
the fuckin' sale one was actually pretty funny. they thought it meant something like big or awesome sale or something similar. its not the name of the store haha.
7:23 oh lord. .. I th'nk that's the burger and chicken place in my country. I think it's called Lotteria, which is originally a Korean chain.
Jack sounds like he's having a stroke. lol
We can all agree that Jack makes our day better

I could not breath the entire video your voiceover is HILARIOUS
i woke up at 9 am and started watching emkay on youtube the video i was watching was over so i went to home and now im here 30 minutes afteryou posted lmfao
I love this subreddit
Finally you make another one keep making more these give me a good laugh
Here is an average engrish comment:
"Do not when june is come you it tastes waters coming"
The restaurant at 7:00 must be doing the equivalent of a US-based Korean restaurant using a bunch of random Korean script as decoration. At least they tried to be thematic with the phrases they used.
it's barqs root beer but there should totally be a knockoff that is bangs
One of these years someone in emkay is going to die, then the whole cast will be sad, there will be less videos, and some of youtube wont even know they existed.
Jack makes any day better.

yes
The acting here is so good
The onejob was to write engrish in the thumbnail xD.
I was not prepared for the creepy goblin's thoughts 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Emkay never fails to make my day better :)
This entire Subreddit is me at 4 AM clicking the wrong letters on the keyboard because im tired
Thanks for making my day better
Welcome
the bad part is that was probably translated by the in game translator in Puzzles and Survival.
Ah, another of my favorite subreddits.
1:35 The translator confused "dump" with "dumb," I know as 「ゴミ」(gomi) is Japanese for "garbage."
4:57 i think this is meant to be some motivational quote about "just be yourself, it's perfectly normal"
8:06 she’s wearing crocs
"It is imparitive that you don't have mcdonalds" is the best sentence ever
I Is speking Engrish 🤣
Great video laughed and lost my ass somewhere, thanks for laughs
12:32 Ah, you see, the medieval Europeans wanted to simplify the names for months so they tried to make them Jantember, Febtember, Marchtember, Aptrember, Maytember, Junetember, Jultember, Augtember, September, October, November, December. Unfortunately no one cared, just like no one cares about this dumb joke...
4:03 reminds me of the time my Spanish teacher got annoyed at us and said "I wouldn't randomly say 'pencil chair table laptop,'" but there are people doing that type of stuff
3:54 is more r/ihadastroke than r/engrish tbh

this is a good video. YET AGAIN! nice job :)
Listening to this makes my brain melt
2:50 "We serve live" actually means "we serve fresh" so the sign is basically saying "we serve fresh. we serve fresh"
5:38 There is me.
5:06 maybe its supposed to be "Like, you actually don't. You don't go left and then it'll be perfectly normal." MAYBE?????
or maybe "You should leave, then it'll go perfectly normally." idk lol
whoever makes the thumbnails had one job
Huge fannnnn!, Emkay!
Omg!! That was way too funny do it again!!!
I love me some great famines from McDonald's really captures the essence of hunger
4:23 *BREAKING BAD REFERENCE*
I'm sure this entire subreddit (that I've heard at least) is cats making their best yet worst attempts to blend in with humans, and I'm pretty sure they have communications like:
"Ah yes, humna blend in with"
Perfectly organised chaos
Clearly this owns an airfryer.
alot of these stem from different countries languages being much older than modern english. whereas some countries people never found it pertinent in the past for eyelashes to have a specific sound attached to it, globalization and world communication changes things like that relatively quickly. so a peoples language, left with gaps that other languages have filled out of necessity are left to come up with something long after their language has been established, so taking existing words to describe a part as a whole is the next best option. sandwich hair then makes sense, unless its a bullshit translation error.
4:28 i had a fucking heart attack when jack started saying this..
