that has some problems. The combat in this game is not simetric. Players and NPC play with diferent rules.
If you make an RP mode on this similar to gta rp with differents servers. It would be amazing !

@@nazhd9237 the architecture of Unreal Engine specifically for a game not designed for such complicated online capabilities would cause way to many issues. The game already has issues running on mid range hardware. That and there's a reason it only supports 8 players only.

This looks great so far. The only thing I really would like to see (and I know this is still early so I’m not saying “PUT IT IN NOW” lol) is dueling obviously lol. That’s literally all I wanna do in this game I love the combat. Keep up the amazing work. Not all heroes wear capes. Some bring us the games we truly want.

Would love that inside the Castle would basicly be a MMO, outside is fine as it is but the school should be more crowded anyway, they might aswell make everything inside hogwarts basicly a 64 person MMO or some..
no fighting or anything just a place where more actual players walk/run around..
would make it feel more alive..

unreal engine tends to be pretty smooth and easy for multiplayer, skyrims create engine is limited and makes it alot harder lol
Allegedly they reverse-engineered other UE games.

@@332guyver1 I think that means a VR mod with 6DOF is likely going to be a thing in the near future.
They were working on a multiplayer mod for STRAY, and it uses the same version of UE as Hogwarts Legacy (Granted... they were looking at the 'code required' for that kind of mod ... they are NOT making a STRAY Co-op mod)... So they got extremely lucky.

It would be really hard to reverse engineer red engine that even devs do struggle with. Every single braindance is such a complicated structure that even game devs said you probably can't mod your own braindances. Now think about syncing people into braindances

That's amazing but, how does progression work? If I finish a quest or do something progressive, will they automatically get it done or do they have to do the quest themselves before we can both continue? What about people who played for 10 hours vs 1 hour? Does the progress reset back down to if you played for 1 hour or will the 1 hour player go up to 10 hour progression for example?

It's unreal engine 4, so it's a lot easier modding with that than Bethesda's super old engine

You should add raids for players to earn rewards legendary gear and have a no kill zone

always had the greatest respect for the teams of modders congratulations for this project. Always close to the desires of players. I do not understand that Avalanche Software is not thinking of doing at least a co-op on this game which is magnificent. Even from a financial point of view, it seems obvious to me to have an Option co-op, you will sell at least twice as many copies.

System from D2 could work well - you can change aggresive/friendly
and like in D2, you can only change this in town ->> here you can change only in castle
you can attack ppl only outside town ->> here you can attack ppl only outside hogwart.
Or if you going into full coop, nice option would be to create game with options - players targetable/player untargetable
targetting players with spells dont need to be always for fight, we can do some fun with wingardium leviosa etc
RP servers be like "Avada Kedavra" - person be dead like "you missed me i am not dead" - "Avada Kedavra" now rip RP

Same with quidditch , might come in the future as a DLC.
Probably time constraints. But hopefully they will expand on it, as the base they have created is an awesome playground for more to add and explore.
And how we know that those are real players and not npcs?
Because they literally have a prototype you can play yourself on their Patreon and NPCs don't work like that inside of the game.
