- In Today's video I'm taking a look at the Anbernic RG Cube. And I gotta say this niche handheld is nearly perfect in my eyes!

Howdy dear viewers, so it has come to my attention that there IS a way to direct the built in front end to scan for roms on the device's storage. Now I wish it was still a bit more simple to do cause emulation novices are not really gonna know how to do this if not shown.
But thanks to @dj2bklyn he gave me some instructions on how to do it. He also said it's in the instructions for the Cube, I assume he meant the manual in the box. I looked and I didn't see it so idk if he meant the manual or not. But here are his instructions on how to do it:
when you click on one of the emus in the launcher click on select
choose rom settings
click on the first + then redirect to the rom folder on either the internal or external then refresh by clicking on start searching at the bottom
Now of course if anyone is still confused, I don't blame you. I was still confused a bit but I figured it out. Again like I say in the video people recommend not to even bother with this launcher so maybe just look up a guide for launchers like DIG or Daijisho and how to set them up. Maybe I'll make a UA-cam short on how to do it. Who knows?

Yeah man I have pretty much all Anerbic handhelds, a Steam Deck and Ayn Odin.. I keep coming back to the RG Cube. It's my favorite from the way it feels, to the screen quality to the overall performance, everything's great. Never expected to care about NDS and 3DS emulation but they work great on here. Playing GameCube is amazing too

Well I had tested it before on my RP2S and I noticed a huge gap in performance between the GameCube and PS2 version. So naturally I wanted to test it out on the cube as well.
You did a really good review man. Also you ACTUALLY zoomed in a little so we can see the gameplay. That’s something like 90% of the bigger reviewers get wrong. They are way too zoomed out.

I loving my cube and the crazy part is that my Retroid 4 Pro was just released in January literally days ahead of the RG556 and Lord knows how many H700 handhelds (Yeah, I bought the RG MotherFlipper). Crazy times. BTW, no screen bleed on my white RG Cube and it's direct from Anbernic.

I recommend another UA-camr who's opinion I trust. TechDweeb, he has a really nice retro vibe to his video as well having his own videos on the RP4 and the RG Cube. Hope that helps.

I really like that. Great review. I got the RGB30 first of January and....omg....i just can't justify this purchase but great review.
BTW...I havent had any issues with my RGB30 other than what i screwed up myself adding roms. I really like the size of that one but that price....yuck

As far as I understand it, how Anbernic "fixes" the screen bleed is by sending a new screen that has to be installed by the user.
I see. Don't really like that though. Clearly assuming everyone is super tech savvy I guess.

Fan part is ok, best part for 3ds and ps2 game. Screen is ok for me.i think 1st batch only having issues
Honestly all valid opinions to have. I do hope that it's just the first batch having problems cause I do find that a bit unacceptable for a device that's pretty pricey. Not the priciest, but still pretty pricey.
Can you make a video getting PokeMMO working on the RGCube?

As far as I know pico 8 doesn't run natively on Android without setting up this weird windows emulator. And I didn't really feel like bothering with that.
I want this console but screen 1:1 scares me
is it good? and DS and 3ds emulation is good?
DS is very good. Just games that require a lot of use of the screen could be a bit jank. 3DS runs fine but not all 3ds games are gonna run on this handheld.
@@KovanNova ohh i want it mostly to play fire emblem, some RPGs and pokemon games
Turn based games will most likely be just fine on the cube. But take that with a grain of salt tbh cause I haven't tested any 3ds RPGs at all. Stuff like Mario 3D Land, ocarina of time, and Planet Robobot run pretty good so you might be just fine.
Not true I bought one without the card I was able to repoint the directory to the roms on both the internal and external you just dont know how to do it the instructions on the device shows you this!
