Close bullet chain finisher into stylish onslaught spam on downed enemies is the highest DPS gunner can deal barring other niche situations where you dodge the enemy first. It is absurd how much damage Stylish Onslaught can deal within that tiny dmg amp window after chain finisher.
I play gunner/ranger only to use riffle and launcher. And since gunner and ranger has the skills spread shot and spread shot quick scape, you only need to take it in one of them. I only reduce the ailtments time on ranger, the damage doesn't really bother. I don't really bother about the extra PP regeb from FO, because gunner skills and auto atack and the right gear build gives you plenty room to abuse damage without lacking PP. And if needed you can always take food for extra PP regen or extra PP along with 10% potency.
I'm not sure if this was mentioned but when the chain is popped it's similar to pso2. When you pop the chain the damage is active until the chain ends, but you still need to use charge PAs for the extra damage. Currently the only thing that can benefit from this is doing 2 close bullets as the other PAs have too long of an animation to get another full charged PA during it. 2 close bullets is the highest dps for chain, but its still the most difficult due to boss movement. Also there's boosted and unboosted stylish roll arts, based on of chain boost is active. Unboosted is long range and boosted is close range.
@@TheOTKGameplay the damage boost starts when u first used changed PA that will turn the numbers to yellow till the number disappears. All charged PA damages during the yellow number will also be boosted.
In my opinion FOR CONTROLLER USERS, NGS Gunner is far easier than base PSO2, the fact it's simplified gives me less buttons to use, however like you said in the video, gunner right now is almost only two skills, may as well play force.

I do not have the data for them, but from my personal experience for using them, I can tell you the stylish roll arts isn't that much stronger in terms of the PP usage comparing to it's damage, it's damage is about 160-180% regular S-Roll normal attack, with small AoE, but eats up 10PP. Stylish Onslaught feels worth to use, can spam it too, the damage is pretty close to spamming uncharged Close Bullet. (or around that damage) For Spread Shot it's a rifle only skill, I forget to mention in the video that it is a active skill, and charges up like Photon Blast, if you swap back to TMG I think the gauge will reset. I don't really use rifle on gunner so I can't tell how much damage it can potentially do, but on Ranger, it is a great tool if you use rifle a lot, acts like a shotgun blast that does multiple ticks, very good on enemy, with decent damage too.

Hey, just a feedback on your guide videos. When explaining different gunner mechanics, weapon action and PAs, it is best to show an example with a clip rather than just blabbering all the info on a whole gameplay video without focusing over the mechanic/PA. New gunners definitely will not fully understand what you are saying. The line "you are at the right place" at the start wasn't really correct in this case. But keep producing videos man! Hope this helps you improve on future guide videos
Thanks for the feedback, the weapon action part is a bit harder to show since it’s mostly combined with other action on gunner before and after in combat. For the PA part, I actually cut some footage for just using those PA if you look closely at it!
@@DaeDae0415 yeah thats what i was pointing out that the clip was not focused enough on the PA. It would be nice to have some pauses probably or some way of focusing which parts you were mentioning like for example which part of that PA you can use weapon action. you will not have the skill point for everything, for me I don't take Spread Shot and Spread Shot Quick Escape seeing I don't plan to use rifle on Gunner. I get everything else on Gunner skill tree, and put as many points into Attack PP Restore as possible.
You have enough points for everything except Scatter Shot (and its second skill) with two points left over for Downed Enemy PP Restore. Hi nice video on gunner analysis. I playing gunner/ force as sub. Can you share some tip on how to level up force sub class skill tree to maximize the sub class skill?
Level on subclass has nothing to do with skill point, it’s two independent things. As long as you do towers and cocoon, you will have the skill points on all your classes. For leveling your subclass, you don’t really need to do much beside just playing it as subclass, it can go up to level 15 at max. If you really want to have it up to level 20 then you can play it as main class. For Force skill tree, what you want to focus is the PP regen skills that can be used on subclass. Anything has to do with main class only skill should be avoided. (If you don’t even plan to play Force as main class beside leveling, you should only have a few skills that regen PP maxed.)

@@JLW01470 multi-weapon system is something SEGA is still working on at the moment, if you were playing Gunner main, I would recommend combine Rod to your TMG, I tried it in CBT, where I use a Rod/TMG, and then I realized I can't use Chain Trigger as main class on that weapon. Force sub is nice since you can still use technique with Force weapons, meaning if there's no Force or Techer in the 8man MPA for the boss, you can do elemental ailment on the boss. Most of the time there will be dedicated Force or Techer, so you can just do your Gunner job, to burst down the boss.
