Oddly enough, PP Conversion doesn't really decrease your max HP, but only reduces your current HP, meaning that you can actually heal off the negative HP effect with a Restasigne afterwards, which is great.
I personally think it isn't fair to compare subclasses without taking into account the weapons they give you access (like how Hu is a really good sub for Gu because of the Sword's damage burst) but I understand that the video would be far longer.
That combined with multi weapons is a whole different ball park. There’s a lot of differences using different weapons and I don’t have enough experience with all the combinations to make a video about it. I've settled onto Te/Fo. I like the PP recovery benefits of force, but I like how the Te gives a lot of melee options. It feels like the mage class that got tired of being bullied and being called a nerd, so he hit the gym everyday. Now he swole and bullies the bullies. There's also the benefit of using the Force techniques as well, which are often better at crowd control than the simple spells.
Hu/Fi or Hu/Gu are massive gotos for me, until braver and luster come out. The ranged attack from double saber is huge burst damage not to mention the whirlwind passive damage bonus. Or, the Iframes on some of the PAs for fighter, namely the uppercut is just insane(also does a ton of burst dmg) and then you get the benefits of all the incredible counter damage coming off of hunter's sword. Plus, the sword uppercut PA sucks, so swapping it to another PA is really useful. As for gunner, the range alone would be really nice as hunter has NONE. Plus, the sword photon blast does a mess of damage. The added ranged attacks really make it all around useful. I think as a main class its hard to pass up hunter, as I was able to literally facetank enemies much higher level than me. And at equal level it just isnt fair. I can stand there and take like 20 dmg from bosses.
@Patrick Müller Knuckle. It gives you burst damage off of the Knuckle Uppercut, and upon impact with an enemy the uppercut becomes an Iframe. You don't need any of the fighter weapons with partison because you have good sustained dps. What you'll need is burst and only Knuckle has some good burst from close range. Plus, you need an , something you dont have with partisan.
Main: Gunner Sub: Hunter Even tho I don’t get much, I love the weapons that Hunter gives. I have a multi-weaponed machine guns with wired lances, and the entire time I’m just strafing the enemy like a beyblade.
honestly the reason to go for Hunter is for Hunter weapons as well as access to their avenger and parry skills which boosts damage by a good amount, if you can perfect parry and proc avenger on Calibur it'll deal stupid damage
@@FullchanAnon yeah both can proc simultaneously depending on the situation, like if you activated the PA and clashed with the enemy's attack, whilst another enemy hit you while the skill animation is playing, it will count both as a parry and avenger the instance where it would activate both simultaneously without any additional outside influence as far as I can tell is only on Calibur but because of how messy the server is atm it is hard to tell with any certainty
Hunter is a perfect Sub-class for me since I need more bulk for the new Stia map which the level 74 Gigamax are hitting for around 650 to 750 when I had -10% elemental resistance and 1,129 defense. The situational buff to defense and it's branch I went all in on since I will only be using Hunter as a Sub-class and Ranger as my main. I definitely need to build a set specifically for level 65 Titan and level 74 Gigamax hunting. In a strong party my damage is not bad.
You’re half right. As long as you don’t prime yourself with a Talis PA before using a technique, the normal ones will come out. With that said, using the Talis PA that puts cards all around you is a suitable replacement for Rabarta.
@@captRhay yeah it’s a skill. I forgot what it’s called but it’s in the lower right corner of either Force or Techter skill tree. Holding down the weapon action will remove it. That’s the easiest way to do it without having to switch weapons.
Fighter/Gunner is pretty good since u can use your PA almost all the time. But i do feel like fighter/hunter is still a good way to go since it gives you good survivability
I've been playing Fi/Hu with dual daggers and I find having hunters physique and the 10% damage reduction extremely useful for dealing with the squishyness fighters have
Techter main and fighter sub having access to shifta/deband and being able to use fighter weapons is pretty good i personally use double saber with rod multiweapon so i can use the rods weapon action and essentially be a elotile
Hu/Rng is probably the best meta atm. top mobility, top passive protection, plus Double burst (anchor into Spread shot). have to be somewhat skilled with countering and dodging. ive seen some people copy my build sorta.. but they stand there thinking it's ok and just get burnt down.
Which main class skills? If it says "main class only" then you need to have that as your main class for it to work. If it doesnt then its a skill that can be used on all classes.
The conclusions for Hunter and Ranger subclass show some odd goalposts. Hunter = Small damage reduction CD and passive. "Terrible." 1:47 Ranger = "I haven't seen any status ailments yet 4:41, but it's solid because it reduces them 4:35. It's good if you hate statuses 5:13." If your premise is true then it's currently useless.
I went for gunner - fighter. I switch weapons rather than building up stats. But the good thing with PSO2 is you could switch main class and sub class whenever you like so you could experiment on what is suited for you fighting style. I am thinking of ranger - force/tech what is better between the two mage classes?
Currently running a 20/20 Ranger/Gunner (as well as Gunner/Ranger just out of convenience). Wunna run Gunner main so I think I'm gunna do Gunner/Forcer for the insane PP uptime potential. Mobbing with Gunner during PSE burst is already insane but, not having to stop and regen my pp every 5 seconds with my primary attack would be amazing.
Nice. Yes force is really overpowered as a subclass since it has eradication pp gain. In the vanilla pso2 it was absolutely terrible but im really glad they increased the range on it.
I decided to go techer ranger for the shifta deband pp recovery but I wasn't sure what the actual % is on that, so im wondering if I should switch to ranger gunner for that pp recovery. Another reason I chose techer is because I can spread the buff to others to increase everyone's over all damage and not just hit a marked spot that has down time where I can spam shifta and there is never any down time and I think everyone gets the pp recovery
Thanks for the video. I was already thinking about Gu as a sub, and become a Fightgunner like old PSU days, and that just made me sure of the choice (I really need a ranged atk for some cover). But that Gunner bonus on rifle got me underadar, will suggest it to my partner.
Not tech, if saying "no matter which main you pick" Techt would be a good option if: 1) Forcer. 2) If needing to use PB on CD for timing reasons. Regardless, if it doesn't provide an additional use over not having it and not needing it lowered for timing, then it does nothing anyway. Tech seems like a great main though.
Yeah alot of people are running tech main with hunter sub and using all the primary tech skills to beef up and support yourself and other people probably would work with most other classes too since there mainly running it for shifta/deband with all the secondary buffs and awake to get off the blasts faster
Yeah, i think thats why force and techter is amazing. I havent had any status ailments effected on my character such as im frozen in place yet. Hopefully in the future they will have those kinds of status effects. If not then ranger is a bad pick for a subclass.
I have a question. So I'm looking at skills that say "usable only with force weapons" or "used only with rod (as an example)". Will those class skills work when you multiweapon that specific weapon/weapon type onto your main weapon? So for example, i main ranger and sub gunner. there are a few skills that don't require you to main a class, but requires the twin mechguns or gunner weapons. Will those skills work if i multiweapon TMG onto my rifle/launcher?
Can anybode reccomend a subclass for techter? I want to play mainly support but also dish out decent dmg for when I play solo. I can't decide whether to play the close range tank/support hunter sub, or the play safe long range ranger/force sub
Tech I feel burns through PP pretty fast, so either ranger (the sub is deceptive since the assault rifle attacks/weapon ability give you a lot of PP) or Force is better IMO. Maybe its just the lag too, but the inputs for guarding at times feels really rough.. Once it gets fixed, I'd prolly make hunter more of a priority. For now tho, just maining techer and then picking any subclass for their weapon is more fun. Not much meta right now.
I'm I seeing your gameplay background right, your in combat camera follows where your character is looking? How do you do that? Can I use my mouse to look around too?
Yeah but then, you have multi-weapons which kinda makes having those additional weapon options irrelevant, so idk what exactly they were trying to do going with this kind of approach. Doesn't seem like subclasses really matter all that much right now.
@@Chaosbreak1 So I'm assuming since I'm a fighter, if I create a twin daggers and double saber multi-weapon, I keep that 10% boost. Then I can have a second multiweapon aligned with my subclass with just about anything since no matter what I do I won't get that 10% damage bonus. So a possible moveset between 4 different weapon types. Interesting. A shame they don't give you the full face buttons when you press L2 on controller for those alternate attacks on your weapon pallet.
Thanks for the video! Definitely helped the overview as the descriptions in the skill tree are not written very clearly - also got burnt by that slash! It definitely means OR not AND in any language ; strange they messed that, totally changes character builds. Going to have to spend that respec ticket. I wish I saw this first! Really enjoying Fighter/Gunner Saber/Rifle as a high pressure build.
No problem. I think the translation is giving us a problem. Such as the '/' and the wording 'downed' it means multiple things, either the enemy is downed like when you hit critical points or status effected. Dont worry about weapon for subclass because you can always focus on a subclass for skills then use a multi weapon on your main weapon *adding 2 weapons together* to be able to use both photon arts and techniques.
@@Kaezox yeah it’s a strange error to have in what is a crux of the game - while also needing to pay for extra respec tickets. Yup yup! That’s what I am maining at the moment. I have full access to all my saber arts via controller, with the light rifle attack as r1, then the heavy glide as l2 + r1 and the heavy gun and charge multi attack on the hotbar L3. It’s so much more fun than I thought it would be. I just really want them to release some higher level rifles. Everything I’m picking up now (that can’t be multi) is higher dmg than my multi weapon at +40.
im so confused. so can i play as a knuckle fighter as my main, and then add points into other classes to get their affects so long as they arent class specific?
yes both. i quit this game a while ago as i had a kid so this video might be out of date. It does seem alot more people are viewing my pso2 videos so I am considering coming back and making videos for it.
Hi. My laptop has i7, SSD and GTX 1060 (6 Gb) and the resolution is blurry. Even the system recommended me that I can play on Super graphics. I did try High standard in 3D Rendering adjustment in setting but it didn’t help. It is still blurry. Can u help me?
I play on super graphics on a titan x sli super old but I think that’s the max. When I record it lags a little though. I’m not a guru on graphics cards but super might be a little too high for your gpu. I’ve been told that the recommendations are high for most players and a lot of people have the same issues as you.
I have tried with medium and low graphics. I even tried the best graphics setting for lower pc setup to get best performance. But it didn’t solve the problem. Not only the video quality is blurry but also the texts are blurry.
Everyone is having major lag and connection issues. They are trying to fix it and hopefully will have a patch up soon. Perhaps you can try again when it does.
Ok hear me out, I wanna main ranger but in order to do that to my liking, I need "main" techter to main ranger. I would hate to lose blight rounds but I feel the shifta/deband would provide more overall. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
I play techter main and fighter sub i used to be Fi/Hu having access to shifta/deband does help in terms of damage and defense tho keep in mind if you use ranger weapons as a techter main you lose 10% of damage tho i think shifta/deband might negate it anyway im not entirely sure i say try ranger main and sub whatever you want then Try Te/Ra and use shifta/deband to see which combo gives you more damage
@@jeankirchstein2552 yeah that's what I was thinking. I think there's gonna be a lot of experimenting for the time being anyways, which is kinda fun actually
Hey, if I want to have a Fo/Gu, using gunner for attack pp recovery, does it matter if I use TMG or Rifles? TMG seems to be attacking faster, does it mean it regens PP faster?
It’s not necessary to even use gunner weapons; I use my rod/talis multiweapon and just use the talis weapon action and my normal swings. I get my pp back in 4 normal attacks. I did mess around with Gu as a main class though and TMGs bring pp back really fast as well so if you wanted to go that route that would work really well too.
To be honest, i went Gu/Fi, using the daggers for quick close combat and then tmgs for close to mid combat (and some long combat , some other times switching to rifle). While im not getting much out of my second class in terms of bonuses or the skills, im happy with the playstyle
Does anyone know if there is a fix for the random mouse acceleration? I tried lowering my polling rate on mouse and the dpi with no luck. Legit the only thing that's annoying me about the game, well the servers issue will be fixed in time but the mouse being weird is really annoying. Also what outfit is that your character is wearing? It looks cool.
@@Kaezox man, i played around 6hours today with my alliances without experiencing lag. first time experiencing it since day1. we grind a lot of resurgers weapon and other 4* drop. pse burst in just a snap of time.
Depends on what you want. Attack PP Recovery is when you do basic attacks so im not sure if techter does basic attacks often or if the dps would be higher with just natural pp recovery from force. So for ranger attack pp recovery is very good since we are ranged and can land basic attacks in rapid succession. As a techter you are always casting techniques charged and uncharged so i think force is a better choice but i have no experience with either. Good thing is when you get skill points they apply to all classes so you can use a level 1 gunner subclass and use the skill points to test it out and see which one benefits you the most. If you are just starting I wouldnt stress too much about perfecting your main and subclass, game came out yesterday so there are still many things to test and see which one you like.
Have you already tried this? It looks good on text and I want to go with this build but there are little to no results when I search for Fo/Gu making me assume that this is not viable.
@@aouiepascual the game just came out, so there aren’t guides on anything. And really, subclasses don’t impact optimization as much (yet, anyway). I’m currently using the combo, but put all points into pp recovery on Gu (so not using TMGs at all) and I have 0 pp issues. Takes me around four normal swings to get all my pp back. But you can literally pick anything and do just fine. You only really waste skill points if you don’t use it - like putting points into a weapon skill you’re never gonna use or something to that effect.
Something that I've been wondering, if I were to switch play my sub-class as main class, is there a way to get a new skills without removing the current skill that I have?
i use tech, because i can change the nearly useless Close Bullet PA to any tech element attack i want, and i get the natural PP recovery passive and PP conversion skill, mainly to spam Aimless Rain during PSE burst
@@ringo3650 I think did it wrong. Like how can I tell if I have a element on my twin guns when I charge the Barta, or foie for example? And I multi-weapon a wand with my twin guns
@@troymack8205 Hi, I assume when you say charge, you mean charging barta or foie for your Photon Blast? All multi weapon does is it combines 2 weapons into one, meaning you can combine the PAs in a single palette, including PB. If you cast a charged Barta, the weapon you are charging is the wand, and wand only. Your TMG PB deals physical damage regardless. If you just want to see your character holding the wand. Use any wand related attack and your character will hold the wand, then you can see its charged with barta, foie or zonde. There is no charged animation for other weapons even though its a multiweapon so far as i know 😅 even for rod
@@troymack8205 oh some helpful tips, i did this with myself I split 3 techniques into 3 weapon palettes, you can see this on most streamers too. When fighting bosses like Nex Vera, i swap to TMG + Zonde/Gizonde palette, that way when i charge a tech it is always Zonde, and i dint have to check my wand for it.
Fighter is an absolte beast and I had fun playing it. I think Hunter could actually compliment it with its knockback resist so I would give that a try and since you are melee the damage reduction could help too.
Im currently usuing hunter as a sub for myfighter and although the 10% dmg reductions seems nice, you don't notice it in gameplay and I find myself barely using the PA. Thinking about switching to gunner because the extra range and PP recovery. knockback doesn't help much if you're good at avoiding getting knocked back in the first place
after a couple of days as a fighter main with gunner sub, here are my thoughts: its great! i put all my gunner skill points into maxing out PP recovery when attacking, and i really like how it let me seriously push my forward momentum. a basic knuckle 5-hit combo gets me enough PP to fire off two Thousand Blows PAs back to back. I don't ever have to slow down my assault to recover PP to use my more powerful attacks, i just spend a few seconds using my basic attack combo to get a bunch of PP and continue my assault, never really stopping the flow of damage coming from me. my thoughts on using other classes as a sub for the fighter: hunter - not bad, i personally am not impressed by 10% damage reduction, but im guessing it could come in handy in an emergency and let you survive with a sliver of health. personally, though, i feel like i should be countering or dodging most of the attacks if i can, so i dont feel like itll come in handy for me too much. besides, if i really wanted emergency suitability, i've got it. kinda. fighter has a skill called Overload Endurance which lets me survive a killing blow if i have Overload active at the time. it lets me push on mostly uncaring of the extra damage received because i know i can tank one death blow at least. i can also activate it if im not sure ill survive the next few seconds just in case, though i mostly use it for more damage against downed enemies. ranger - imo a worse version of the hunter sub. i dont really play around status ailments at all, and the ailment im weakest to is low health, so i just hard pass on this one. maybe it comes in handy in certain fights, i dont really care personally, its just not my thing. force - worse version of the gunner sub. PP recovery but its just the regular recovery sped up, and the active skill lowers my hp, as if i needed more of that in a fight. techter - worse version of the ranger sub, which is a worse version of the gunner sub. half of the passives in techter are useless to me cuz i dont use elements at all. the other half lets me recover PP 10% faster when im near bosses, when with gunner i can recover 10% of my gauge with a single basic attack (i think) note that im playing as a hard knuckles fighter and nothing else. when an enemy is too far away i sprint at them. when a weak spot is too high up i find a slightly higher ledge to jump off from. i only have a single multiweapon made out of 2 primms to finish the tutorial mission teaching multiweapons. i am not a versatile player and these are just my personal thoughts
Techer is nice if u get a multi weapon rod/wand. Gives you access to single target and aoe spells, plus techer sub gives you access to skill talents to enhance element damage to targets weak to certain element types.
This video ignores the value of the sub class weapons and those skills. For example, as a techter I went Hunter for melee survivability but also the wire claw weapon action helps me get into melee range. Alternatively, I could go gunner keep a safe distance and regain pp with attacks. When you unlock multiweapons, there's more to consider and I'm sure they'll be more when they improve the skill trees. The main/weapon thing is super annoying because I wanted to use ranger for the blight bullet
For my launcher it is a Luminere Series. Cant be used on ngs weapons. Only for vanilla pso2 gear as you have to attach the camo to the weapon. Its not a regular camo like ac scratch or sg scratch.
You can use hunter subclass and do twin dagger/knuckles + wire multi weapon, wire got good aoe PA and also their weapon action is a rly good gap closer.
Picking weapons is like picking what class you want to play its a subjective choice. Do you want me to go through all the weapon combinations? If I were to just do 1 class as a Hunter... that is 12 weapon combination comparisons. Then theres 6 total classes... So you want me to compare over 60 weapon combinations and take that into consideration then compare how all the weapons tie together with the skill trees? That would be a few hours long for a video. Or you can use this video as a base line and try different weapons to see what fits your play style.
There's more freedom by using multi-weapons. You can use them even if you don't have a specific class or sub-class. For example, a Hu/Fo can use dual daggers by making them multi-weapon with a talis, for example. So... This video is fine, weapons isn't a limitation when choosing a sub-class anymore
@@Kaezox I do think some weapons are worth mentioning on their own as additional utility some classes give For example, wired lance can give you a gap closer weapon action, hunter weapons in general can block, TMG and Rifle have extra dodges, etc

Small edit, to Red01 comment, but tech is a better main for force. Their "photon blast" is questionable value, and tech provides shifta... with the downed enemy from element buff with it on the whole party, you can lock a lot of bosses currently.
@@iReapez Force's PP recover is for out-of-combat recovery, according to Wiki. Gunner actually increases recovery when in combat, which is what Fighter needs.

Most of good stuff r still from base PSO2 (which may means ton of meseta worth, or inacessible for being SG exclusive). NGS will need sometime yet to get this stuff.
Gunner, or Force That said, Tech/Ra is actually really good, the mid range for the shifta buff is perfect, and shores up a lot of one shot issues due to lag, etc. Since tech also lets you use talis or wand, you can then exploit elemental as well then swap to rifle for the faster regen normals/weapon ability (the grenade skill gives a lot).
sub class mechanics in ngs is boo boo. What's the point if we only get to access 5% of the subclass passive abilities as well as basically not being able to use any their abilities
Bahahaha. Glad you like my character. Alot of people keep asking me to make a video about how to replicate my character but I dont want twins running around.
Fo, Ra, Hu Force feels nicer, but just be aware that the talis weapon doesn't proc the ice sigil thingy Ranger just doesn't have much to spend skills on, but being mobile felt nice. Their normals and weapon ability are a bit deceptive as it gives a lot of PP in a short time. Little more 'steady' than Force active skill. Hu in the same vein is nice for mobility, the wired lance as a multiweapon or your main one felt good since their gap closer is pretty small. That said, due to the lag, I get a little more frustrated at melee than ranged.

You’re half right. As long as you don’t prime yourself with a Talis PA before using a technique, the normal ones will come out.
With that said, using the Talis PA that puts cards all around you is a suitable replacement for Rabarta.
@@shonixgaming3076 thats a good tip. Is there a way to cancel whatever talis "stance" that you primed?

Tech main and fighter sub? or the other way around?
Techter main and fighter sub having access to shifta/deband and being able to use fighter weapons is pretty good i personally use double saber with rod multiweapon so i can use the rods weapon action and essentially be a elotile
That was actually what I was considering doing.
Hu/Rng is probably the best meta atm. top mobility, top passive protection, plus Double burst (anchor into Spread shot). have to be somewhat skilled with countering and dodging. ive seen some people copy my build sorta.. but they stand there thinking it's ok and just get burnt down.
Am I missing something? This video keeps bringing up Main Class Skills, which you wouldn't be able to use as a subclass
Which main class skills? If it says "main class only" then you need to have that as your main class for it to work. If it doesnt then its a skill that can be used on all classes.
May be rewatch the video again
The conclusions for Hunter and Ranger subclass show some odd goalposts.

I went for gunner - fighter. I switch weapons rather than building up stats. But the good thing with PSO2 is you could switch main class and sub class whenever you like so you could experiment on what is suited for you fighting style. I am thinking of ranger - force/tech what is better between the two mage classes?
Ranger/Force for Natural PP recovery and Rod.
Ranger/Techter for Photon Blast and Wand.
I'm using Hunter/Tech tho, and I'm loving it ngl
I decided to go techer ranger for the shifta deband pp recovery but I wasn't sure what the actual % is on that, so im wondering if I should switch to ranger gunner for that pp recovery. Another reason I chose techer is because I can spread the buff to others to increase everyone's over all damage and not just hit a marked spot that has down time where I can spam shifta and there is never any down time and I think everyone gets the pp recovery
Yeah I wish there were exact numbers but some skills dont show it. A Good support is always a solid choice.
I am really really loving the change they did with techter and shifta/deband! Having them together on one skill and not with PA is a nice QoL change
Thanks for the video. I was already thinking about Gu as a sub, and become a Fightgunner like old PSU days, and that just made me sure of the choice (I really need a ranged atk for some cover).
But that Gunner bonus on rifle got me underadar, will suggest it to my partner.
Yeah gunner is really a solid pick for ranger. Attack PP recovery helps dps as well and usually ranged characters are dps.
So basically, Gunner, Force and Techter are the best all-round sublclasses no matter which main class you pick.
There already is Status Ailments, only force can inflict so far which is Burn, Freeze and Shocked/Paralyze. Dont know of any other though.
Yes it will work with multi weapons.
So when your using your main class can you use a subclass weapon as well?
Yes
God your characters beautiful I wish some nice outfits were in the ngs scratch ticket it's all just basic soldier stuff 😭
Thanks :)
No idea how he managed to get thighs that thicc. But its a godsend to watch.
Not much meta right now.

seems like the subclass is more for giving you additional weapon options because the generic passives are very weak
Yeah but then, you have multi-weapons which kinda makes having those additional weapon options irrelevant, so idk what exactly they were trying to do going with this kind of approach. Doesn't seem like subclasses really matter all that much right now.
@@BlackWinds Multi-weapons lose the 10% damage boost from class "main" weapons, so you sacrifice damage for speed.
@@Chaosbreak1 Ah, didnt know that. Good to know.
@@BlackWinds I don't use them, but i also read that if you create a multi-weapon from weapons that are main for a class you keep that boost.
Everything I’m picking up now (that can’t be multi) is higher dmg than my multi weapon at +40.

Is gu or te better sub on force main?
While im not getting much out of my second class in terms of bonuses or the skills, im happy with the playstyle
whats the best sub class for fighter? rn im using hunter, some say its gunner some say its force

Legit the only thing that's annoying me about the game, well the servers issue will be fixed in time but the mouse being weird is really annoying. Also what outfit is that your character is wearing? would the pp recovery from gunner as a subclass factor into a techter main well? or is it just better to go with force
@@Kaezox absolutely. I feel like new genesis is so different we are gunna have some batshit crazy metas. Lol
Fo/Gu gang? 🙌🏻🙌🏻

@@troymack8205 oh some helpful tips, i did this with myself
I split 3 techniques into 3 weapon palettes, you can see this on most streamers too.
When fighting bosses like Nex Vera, i swap to TMG + Zonde/Gizonde palette, that way when i charge a tech it is always Zonde, and i dint have to check my wand for it.
So I picked Hunter main class what shall I pick for a subclass?
so...looks like the best subclass for fighter is gunner? thoughts?
Fighter is an absolte beast and I had fun playing it. I think Hunter could actually compliment it with its knockback resist so I would give that a try and since you are melee the damage reduction could help too.
Im currently usuing hunter as a sub for myfighter and although the 10% dmg reductions seems nice, you don't notice it in gameplay and I find myself barely using the PA. Thinking about switching to gunner because the extra range and PP recovery. knockback doesn't help much if you're good at avoiding getting knocked back in the first place
I'm trying to findout so far no news please let me know what you hear.
after a couple of days as a fighter main with gunner sub, here are my thoughts: its great!
i put all my gunner skill points into maxing out PP recovery when attacking, and i really like how it let me seriously push my forward momentum. a basic knuckle 5-hit combo gets me enough PP to fire off two Thousand Blows PAs back to back. I don't ever have to slow down my assault to recover PP to use my more powerful attacks, i just spend a few seconds using my basic attack combo to get a bunch of PP and continue my assault, never really stopping the flow of damage coming from me.
my thoughts on using other classes as a sub for the fighter:
hunter - not bad, i personally am not impressed by 10% damage reduction, but im guessing it could come in handy in an emergency and let you survive with a sliver of health. personally, though, i feel like i should be countering or dodging most of the attacks if i can, so i dont feel like itll come in handy for me too much. besides, if i really wanted emergency suitability, i've got it. kinda. fighter has a skill called Overload Endurance which lets me survive a killing blow if i have Overload active at the time. it lets me push on mostly uncaring of the extra damage received because i know i can tank one death blow at least. i can also activate it if im not sure ill survive the next few seconds just in case, though i mostly use it for more damage against downed enemies.
ranger - imo a worse version of the hunter sub. i dont really play around status ailments at all, and the ailment im weakest to is low health, so i just hard pass on this one. maybe it comes in handy in certain fights, i dont really care personally, its just not my thing.
force - worse version of the gunner sub. PP recovery but its just the regular recovery sped up, and the active skill lowers my hp, as if i needed more of that in a fight.
techter - worse version of the ranger sub, which is a worse version of the gunner sub. half of the passives in techter are useless to me cuz i dont use elements at all. the other half lets me recover PP 10% faster when im near bosses, when with gunner i can recover 10% of my gauge with a single basic attack (i think)
note that im playing as a hard knuckles fighter and nothing else. when an enemy is too far away i sprint at them. when a weak spot is too high up i find a slightly higher ledge to jump off from. i only have a single multiweapon made out of 2 primms to finish the tutorial mission teaching multiweapons. i am not a versatile player and these are just my personal thoughts
Since subclasses max at 15, what if i equip my 20 classes as sub? Will it increase my bp more than capped ones? Currently 1260 bp
What is everyone's opinion on the best sublass for a Force that only wants to use Rods.
Techer is nice if u get a multi weapon rod/wand. Gives you access to single target and aoe spells, plus techer sub gives you access to skill talents to enhance element damage to targets weak to certain element types.
What is that outfit or basewear called?
Youai on vanilla pso2
This video ignores the value of the sub class weapons and those skills. For example, as a techter I went Hunter for melee survivability but also the wire claw weapon action helps me get into melee range.
Alternatively, I could go gunner keep a safe distance and regain pp with attacks.
When you unlock multiweapons, there's more to consider and I'm sure they'll be more when they improve the skill trees.
The main/weapon thing is super annoying because I wanted to use ranger for the blight bullet

But....I like my fighter ranger launcher/saber I do a lot of DPS and can attack from all ranges plus I never run low on pp
Not talking about weapons at all, or even mentioning them is a mistake. Weapons are like half the story for why you pick a sub class.
@@Kaezox I do think some weapons are worth mentioning on their own as additional utility some classes give
