The video where you bought the 36" sleeper is the first video I ever saw from you. I ended up going back a bit to watch some of your videos and eventually caught up. Been watching ever since.
Thankyou !!!!
We are very restricted with length in australia,so typicaly we dont have the sleeper sizes that you have in the usa.
Yes it sucks lol.
I have to move my seats forward in my Freightliner to get 24" for a legal sleeper, my bed folds down and I think it's comfy but it is tight
I drove old Brockway’s back in the 70s, Enjoy your videos from central Fl.
It 's a shame windows were left down on that old Brockway. Great video Justin, thanks!
Thanks for watching!
The old ford looks like something jamie davis would have as a front line truck.
Hi Justin! The black and red brockway is/was Steve's, Doug sr.s brother. That brownish bunk is off Doug's W9 that got flooded, and i bet the black/silver bunk (Doug's colors), is off one of the '86 anteater KW. Btw, Ralph Trenchard, from Dundee, drove that one. Yep, i AM old. Love your operation, sir!
Ha. Interesting !!!
Justin the 36 was called the casket sleeper wanted one when I was in highschool my dad wouldn't let me have one in my bedroom cause we would have to remodel the house LoL awesome wish I could see more truck shows from there 👍🤘🤘🤙‼️
Called the coffin box. I slept in them many times.
@@davidpotter7484 most people don't even know what I'm talking about unless they have been around trucks there hole life LoL 😜🤣😁😎
That Black Flatop Kenworth is nice
Man, that black truck a beauty and a beast sir Justin. 🏋🏽♀️💯💯.
I’d love to have that mini wheel Brockway dump truck!
Hey Justin I see you make things happen a man of your word. 👌
I started driving OTR in 1984.
Peterbilt's cant take what the outback dishes out
Looks like you’ve got yourself a future contact for future 36” bunk projects or 36 for 60 bunk exchanges…
Got to keep that # on speed dail… got to know how expensive that shipping would be ???
It would be neat to see one of their Kenworth from Australia in the states, and to send a Peterbilt to them in Australia
There's people who want to see a K200 in America as they don't have cabovers there
That is a cat in that black kw
Cummins
It sure looked like an a model a they painted white back in those days
It Definitely is a 3406B Cat. 84 first year of the B. 400hp probably. 85 they came out with the air to air and went to 425hp.. along with Ford and IH Paccar painted their engines Matterhorn White. Ford did theirs in Ford Blue and IH did theirs IH Red. The B Cats had the fuel pump further to the front of block and raised the air compressor compressor
Greetings Mr Justin
I started my driving career in a brockway in 1974
I would be laying blankets on those bunks, would be afraid of damaging them
The reason there is very little Peterbilts in Australia , except for ones people have imported themselves is .
Paccar own Peterbuilt and also own Kenworth in Australia . Have spoken to them about getting a Peterbilt brought over , and they refuse to do it .
The heads of Kenworth Aus will not bring Peterbilt over as they believe it will effect thier sales .
I cannot see how that would matter as it is the same company .
So to get a Peterbilt in Aus , you need to buy it in the USA . Then organise someone to put it on a ship over thier . Get all the import paperwork . Have it shipped over . Then it has to go to one of only a couple of places to be converted to right hand drive . Then it will need to have an engineer compliance to Aus standards , which if it is not a model that has already been done , will be extremely difficult . Once all this has been done , you can get it on the road .
The cost of all this is unbelievable . As an example 8 years ago I was going to do it and these were the costings .
379 Pete was 180,000 use
= 230,000 Australian at that time.
Inport and taxes in Aus = 60,000
Conversion and compliance
= 100,000
On road cost , registration ect
= 20,000
Total = 410,000
I can could buy a new Kenworth at that time , with a warranty for about 50,000 more .
This is why
Wow. Very interesting …. I can assure you that a Peterbilt isn’t worth that much more 🤣🤣🤣
There are a few Peterbilt over here. They were official imported in numbers during the 60’s but a stalemate broke out between the importers of Kenworth and Paccar joining forces to prohibit sales of Peterbilt. There was a huge court case that the Peterbilt importer lost . That agreement between Kenworth Australia and Paccar remains in place and only private imports of certain models are available here.
Very interesting…. Thankyou for sharing
@@flintcreektransport Kenworth Australia have the names Peterbilt Australia and Paccar Australia registered. So basically, the only way Peterbilt will be sold as an an official Paccar supplied vehicle in volume, is if they do it.
Justin 😎
👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
We only use the best trucks over here pulling road trains kw best trucks for the job
👌🏽
Interesting I live in New Zealand it’s next to Australia I was told that there never was a right hand drive Peterbilt manufactured in a USA factory but South Africa had a factory for doing right hand drive conversions. In the 2000,s there where a number of peterbilts imported to NZ and changed over and I am restoring a Peterbilt 362 to run again on our roads www.youtube.com/@PETENZcabover362 we are the same as Australia they are hard to find because they never were sold here thanks.
Australia sounds like your kind of country #worldsbest awesome hook up they must be really expensive if they buy them here and ship them home, I know shipping ain't cheap 🤣 thanks for sharing safe travels buddy 👍
They have a company over there that bought a Mack magnum and painted it back to the original colors black and red it Aussie rehab wish they would show it all but here it is just shorts on here and they are good looking trucks
Is this the Mactrans family? I think his dads A BIG DEAL back home Justin
Not sure Stock photo
It's a shame they didn't know about what Bruce Wilson just got in at FSC.
Check out the all but new E axel Peterbuilts he's tearing apart.
What a 60 inch worth in the states
Couple thousand. Depends on condition
You need to come over to Australia 🇦🇺 to see what real trucking is
I want to !!
Anybody know why the Australian Kenworth’s are like 4-6” taller than American trucks.
Maybe suspension for heavier weight ?
Our engines run in higher ambient temperatures, especially in the outback pulling road trains, so the cabs are raised to provide more airflow around the engine. Standard 6 axle single trailer weights when loaded are 42.5 - 45 metric tons, road trains 82.5 metric tons or more. No idea of North American weight limits. In the mid 70s KW Australia released the SAR. It had the same engine options as the W900 minus V12 GM but had the same BBC as an S2. They re-released the SARs in the 2000s as the T404SAR and afew years ago released a limited special edition w900sar complete with beige Cummins and 36, 48 or 50 inch aero 1 or flat top sleapers. 2970s/80s truck that meets modern regulations straight from the factory, my mouth waters
@Flint Creek Trucking can I still get a 4XL Carhartt Hoodie???
I don't need huge, I need tall, my brother n law is 6'2" and wears 30" inseam pants, very tall body, when he sits down he looks even taller
No I’m working on getting 4 x added Check out the sportek lace up
Click bait that truck is not in the video at all unfollowed
I take it you can’t read
That's the guys truck in Australia, they don't have big bucks in that country
What are you talking about! Man you people are weirdos
@@cargotoolshop5319 That's actually just a stock picture of a Limited Edition T900 Legend and it's a 50in bunk as well. I also assume you meant to say they don't have big bunks? Which is true as length is limited from the front of the bumper to the rear of the trailer. Cheers
That should had packing over it ruff way to ship it out see it been damaged when it arrives .
