“Full Tang” means that the blade and the handle are one solid piece which this knife is. They just added and extra 1/2 inch of a different metal at the end. 🤦♂️
Was thinking to do just that but it makes the handle shorter on an already medium short handle... still, frustrating when a company puts effort and money into making their product worst, like Planned obsolescence
Well i think its just an aesthetics thing. They're trying to make the red accents like a signature theme across their products. But i doubt it actually makes the knife worse.
I carry it as an EDC, and it's a great, strong knife! Easy to sharpen, and carry. That red piece is just added to the top for a lanyard! It doesn't affect the knifes performance at all! I guarantee, you just took it straight out of the box, tore the knife apart and started complaining! You never even probably used it for a couple months to see what a great knife it is! Embarrassing!
If the handle is fixed to the blade that's a fixed blade knife , like all the 1 dollar plastic handle knifes at waly. Full tang is a one piece blade that gos through the FULL lenght of the handle.
LOL, wow man. It's full tang. This is NOT lying about their product. It's red anodized aluminum so that they can add a brand color hit to the knife that looks nicer than just straight up painting it. Smh, I would hate to release a product just to watch it get absolutely torn up for no reason like this.
I mean honestly I highly doubt that little bit is gonna make a difference. I have seen enough torture tests on this blade that show this thing will hold up
now that i see it off and what the tang looks like, maybe i'll just go ahead and void the warranty on mine so get rid of that piece of aluminium and round off the back
It's not a lie if the tang goes always through ur hand dummy, and the aluminum piece is to take weight off the knife handle cause it's already handle heavy
Dude, think before you speak. Turns out this $40 knife is INSANELY tough. As good or better than most Benchmade knives I've used. That extra bit there makes no difference. It's full tang.
it is full tang. the pommel of most swords is a screwed on piece at the end of the full tang, 99.9% of the old shefield and solingen and seki knives are full tang with a brass screw at the end. this knife is full tang, and they didn't "try to hide it" by making the back screw hard to get off, they probably used red thread lock so it would never loosen and here is something you should have thought about, you cut the screw head to remove the screw you voided the warranty by doing so
It is full tang i mrab alittle at the ens wont magically change anything compared to many knives which would look like their fixed blades but the metal would do betweens half a inch to 2 inches into the handle. The tang is for straightening up the blade so it can have more for for cutting. So having a quarter of a inch which all the screws are linked to the blade will somehow be dangerous is beyond me
What I'm looking for is a full tang knife that is straight and at a reasonable price. The matket is full with needlesly bad designs and fals advertisements if this knife works for you more power to u
Please post your definition of full tang cause this is what i get when i googled it: Fixed-blade knives are one solid piece of metal that can have tang or full-tang construction at the handle end. “Tang” construction has a taper that disappears into the handle (wood or other material). Full-tang construction has a solid metal frame, to which “handle slabs” are attached on either side
Ok since you just want to complain and I have already posted on here before that this thing is a beast, why don't you post a video of you putting it to use huh? Prove yourself instead of complaining about absolute nonsense. Show us how this knife is evidently a joke and a "cute toy" as you so ignorantly called it. I know you won't but go ahead prove us wrong.
This is supposed to be a survival knufe. What's gonna happen when you hit it in the back with a rock or a hammer? Or u use it as a spear tip ? Or u use the back to hammer something? Function sacreficed to make the thing look cute. Market is full of cute toys and this is one of them
Probably use it for survival knife stuff because guess what?! I hope you have eyes that work because last I checked that’s not a hammer and that’s not a spear, it’s a knife! You wanna hammer something use a hammer or the back piece of an axe if you’re so inclined. If you want a spear then get a spear or get a blade that is purpose driven for being attached to a stick to make a spear. Have you even done or seen any torture testing on this blade? Because I have seen quite a few and this thing is a beast
@radicalcoyote3772 I don't like batoning either, however (for those of you who do like it) this knife can handle it for sure, I saw a guy batoning his through some insanely tough wood, so much so that the tension of the wood was bending the knife. Upon retrieval, knife was still straight, sound and sharp. Super glad I got this thing, bc it's only impressing me.
That’s full tang my guy, just stop.
Yup 😂
I doubt that 3% of steel actually matters. Its full tang 😐
Exactly
Especially on the very end where it takes no stresses
“Full Tang” means that the blade and the handle are one solid piece which this knife is. They just added and extra 1/2 inch of a different metal at the end. 🤦♂️
Simple solution. Throw away the piece of aluminum and you have a Full Tang knife.
Was thinking to do just that but it makes the handle shorter on an already medium short handle... still, frustrating when a company puts effort and money into making their product worst, like Planned obsolescence

Seriously dude that’s a full tang. The handle is fixed to the blade therefore it’s a full tang blade. You could use this knife without the scales.

Jesus..
98% tang.
Costumer is always right. the costumer:
I mean honestly I highly doubt that little bit is gonna make a difference. I have seen enough torture tests on this blade that show this thing will hold up
Haha, Not a full tang? This guy is joking right? Full tang, 98% micarta handle.😅
That IS a full tang.
I’m in awe that this man even made this video
That is a full tang knife with the addition of an aluminum lanyard attachment built into the handle
It’s full tang. That piece is for a lanyard.I own this knife. Its solid.Ive thrown it in my board quite a bit.The screws are lock tight.
Full tang in my book , I believe the end is shaped that way to aid in the manufacturing process.
95%full tang
Holy shit. You’re gonna be this picky? 😅
Bro, seriously? It’s full tang, it does not compromise the integrity to the knife.
its full tang its just a lanyard hole
Its a full tang enough said.
now that i see it off and what the tang looks like, maybe i'll just go ahead and void the warranty on mine so get rid of that piece of aluminium and round off the back
So it can be anodized aluminum
That is a full tang with a decorative pommel my guy
It's not a lie if the tang goes always through ur hand dummy, and the aluminum piece is to take weight off the knife handle cause it's already handle heavy
It is full tang, you're just misunderstanding what that means

unreal response 😂
Tell me you don't know what full tang is without telling me
Bro your a hater that's a full tang come on your nit picking man. That's a damn good knife i got one and , ive had problems. Love the knife.
If you’ve had problem why love knife?
@@garymcmahon8490I think they meant to say they had no problems
It’s full tang bro if it screwed to that point
I feel like you're being too critical of a low budget knife. It's full tang my dude.
Please turn in your knifes
That is a full tang, you're just looking for something to complain about.
What I'm looking for is a full tang knife that is straight and at a reasonable price. The matket is full with needlesly bad designs and fals advertisements if this knife works for you more power to u
Exactly!
Really?
You don’t know much about knives construction I see.
Imagine posting this and not even knowing what "full tang" means LOL. Delete this bruh

This is supposed to be a survival knufe. What's gonna happen when you hit it in the back with a rock or a hammer? Or u use it as a spear tip ? Or u use the back to hammer something? Function sacreficed to make the thing look cute. Market is full of cute toys and this is one of them

You obviously haven't used one because these are extremely durable and functional
@@redgrizzlybur7810 just got one and this thing is a tank! I still don’t like batoning a knife that’s just my preference
