    I made this mousse a week ago and again today 3 times bigger. It is by far the best and easiest I have ever made. Absolutely beautiful

    I thought I had failed when I added the chocolate and the consistency became watery, but I let it refrigerate and then it was done! It was kind of salty. make sure you use a good chocolate.

      The chickpea water is a replacement for egg white or heavy whipping cream. Also, you’re supposed to always chill mousse before you serve it

      Go to end of video. It says chili, then corrects to chill. No chili in mousse. The red things on top are probably berries. RASPBERRIES, most likely.

    Make sure your Aquafaba is room temperature. Mine was in the fridge so when I mixed in the chocolate it kinda clumped together.

    I'm a little skeptical with this, but sometimes I cook veggie chicken soup I add chickpeas and throw the water from the can. Next time I'll save it and I'll give this a shot.

    I think I won't buy it from the supermarket from now on. I was skeptical at first, but it turned out great. I also added some protein chocolate powder for a bit of sweetness. And made some humus out of the chickpeas. ❤

      The chickpea water also called aquafaba is used as an egg replacer in baking and also imitates egg whites to make things like mousse.

      To add and what Elsa is saying- the reason why it works is because of the protein that is in the chickpea, it goes into the water and that's what's make it so frothy when you whip it up

      It’s “aquafaba” (literal translation: bean water). When chickpeas/garbanzo beans are canned, a protein they contain leaches into the water as they are cooked after sealing, and it’s great at whipping up into a foam, as you saw in the video. It’s a popular vegan/dairy free whipping cream/egg white substitute.

      It is down to preference but it doesn't really matter as salt enhances the chocolate flavour.

    How much u have to whipp it ? Cuz I did for like 10mins did I whip it to much? It never whipped up just stayed a liquid

      It takes me about 8 minutes with an old handheld whisk, standing mixer takes less. Make sure everything is spotlessly clean - like with egg whites even tiniest residue of grease can mean that it never gets firm enough. Also, I hope you are whipping cooking water (not soaking water) - I say that as some people get this wrong.

      About 3-5 calories per Tablespoon or 32 calories from one can of chickpeas, which contains about 3/4 cup liquid “aquafaba.” Hope this helps! 🤗

      yes, you are so right! A chocolate mousse is so much more appetising when made with something that came out of a hen's cloaca (it's where hen's feces, urinary waste, sperm, and eggs pass btw). Bon Appetit!!

      We use a Greek dark chocolate which is not massively sweet and it is all good. Maybe just go for one with a higher sugar (and lower cocoa) content to balance it out.

    I call fake. There was a cut at the spoon. It went from liquid to solid in a millisecond. Typically the get that consistency, you need to add bloomed gelatin or something to make it firm but still airy rich. Also chilling doesn't work in place of gelatin because it's just gonna have the texture of a really crystalized chocolate ice cream. Wait, I just realized those are egg whites they're using. You better be using some really high quality eggs for this so that you don't get salmonella. Also egg whites need a stabilizer or else they'll deflate. Again no, chilling isn't a viable method

      Not a fake, just inexperienced editing. The struggle was getting the focus right if I remember The mousse works, I've eaten about 20 of them over the years. It requires precision but that is the reality of not using eggs.
