I love mine. Like you said for somebody on a budget it can't be beat. It's also great if you don't have much work space. 3 instruments in 1.
I have many scopes but work space is a big problem for me.

You probably appreciate the DC voltage (bias only and no ac input) at the collector should roughly be the supply voltage/2
Your output waveform cannot be more than your power supply voltage.
I think you had channel 2 set for a 10X probe, but had your probe switched to 1X...
You always have to check to see if your results are reasonable.
And if they aren't, check your scope and probe multipliers to make sure hey match!
I love the ones I have, and that is a mistake I made a lot when I first started using mine a few years ago.

Did you happen to compare the RMS value shown in the scope to the one measured by the multimeter? it would be interesting to see how close or far they are
Your should have connect it to the diode and see how the wave form went- any way you did a good job.
Well The last thing I need is another DDM or scope. WAIT did I just say that???? Wife was in the room,,, Anyway what a great little tool for just playing around on a breadboard. Only need to turn on a power supply and then just this one meter. I think I need to get one!!

the premise of a test on an amplifier circuit worked well - I liked the quality of AWG sine wave - however in my experience the Hantek is about as intuitive as a Rubik's Cube and a lot less friendly
You need to look at the bias point of your circuit Re: the clipping on the positive cycle of the waveform.

As I'm new to this subject, I wonder how it is possible to find a signal of 80v (4 divisions of 20v) from a 9v powered system ?
Is this related to the probe attenuation factor ?

I'm thinking about consolidating some space on my bench and this unit looks like it might fit the bill.
Question: I mainly work on vintage tube gear would you say this unit is a good match and is it sensitive enough to test microphonics and noise in components.

Dan, I would say yes, I got this one so I could test old tube (valves to me!) radios with floating chassis, as a conventional scope would very rapidly trip the RCCB in my house wiring!

Thanks for creating the video. Trying to understand the difference between the 40Mhz and 70Mhz models. Since this is my first scope, what would I give up by going with the 40Mhz version on this device?
What do you plan to use the scope for?
@@LockdownElectronics At this point, I am looking to check for mostly low level DC voltages in devices such as raspberry pi. Also thinking about looking at signals coming out of audio devices when troubleshooting a problem with home stereo systems.
I would say the 40MHz one would be fine for that.
