    Ruined Aquarium:
    *Joey* :My moss is falling off the wood!
    *Me* :My stepfather rammed into it as a 230 pound man during Super Bowl, and completely obliterated it.

    I have a slight problem with the bichir having no name. If he is going to be with Frank, you should name the bichir too. I vote Stein. So together they are Frank'n'Stein.

    Do more then just moss on branches.. if your going to re-do the tank , why don't you just go all out and heavily plant it? That system definitely deserves more. I'd kill for a tank like that

    I do NOT think that the 375G is lookin bad. Acutually it’s freakin cool, cause if you imagine the wood is from a ghost forest, or anything like that, well then it’s spot on!!! I would say, leave the moss as is, remove the fallen moss from the substrait, and let the moss grow to cover the wood at it’s own :0)

    I thought when you said you "ruined" the aquarium something had happened to the fish... It isn't ruined Joey, if anything the new placement of the wood looks great and makes the tank feel less crowded. After a few months that moss is going to be back to normal and it is going to look great.

    I don't know. I don't think the 375 looks bad as is. Maybe just get rid of the stuff that fell off and them put some plants on the bottom that will grow to the top instead? Just leave what moss is already on there.

  • @Sokky91

    You should use this opportunity and do a jungle theme! You’ve said it in a few videos, let the plants go wild!! It will be a HUGE contrast to the rest of your gallery, and you get to show the plant side of the hobby!

  • @grantwarner3434
    @grantwarner3434 6 років тому +3

    There is something aestically pleasing about tank. It contrasts against the more regimented and refined tanks in the gallery. If I was you I would add more plants, and some low level grasses to the front of the tank.

    Allright so the 375 has no rays in it, only rainbows. Rainbowfish love plants, so you could pull out all the wood, order a lot of different stem plants and a lot of dwarf hairgrass and make a huge dutch style aquarium. Either that or you get some swordplants, val and other big growing plants and make a huge jungle scape of it. But that's just my 0.02.

    No worries, the moss will regrow. I think a monster clump of Java Fern would look great in the corner with a few big clumps of Anubias mixed around that drift wood. With more fish the tank will need more plants ;-)

    The same thing happened to my moss. The general consensus was 'give it time, it'll bounce back'. It started to bounce back just in time for me to break that tank down and upgrade to the 33 gallon. 😁

  • @dillonfloyd
    @dillonfloyd 6 років тому +2

    you need to trim your moss down periodically, if the moss closest to the wood is getting no light it will die back and become detached.
    For a quick reattaching use super glue and keep your portions thin rather than thick clumps.

    Joey for the old frank tank (haha that rhymes) on the rack system, how bout a group of amazon puffers? They're freshwater community fish (not aggressive) around 3-4 inches, and have also been known to trim their own beaks from time to time! Just by a little experience. If U try to get some moss it takes some effort. But when U try to get rid of it! It just grows back from ffin one single unvisible tiny bit U even can't see. So I would just get rid of fallen bits, give it a trim and leave it like that. It will grow back. For sure.
