LEGO City Update - Huge LEGO City Tour 🚌📷🏙🏹

- Every 25 videos (or so) I do a recap on recent progress and summarise a few plans for the future. It's also a good excuse to get all the trains running and remind ourselves of all the MOC builds, minifigure scenes and fun details around the whole LEGO City of Brick Nottingham. So here's a very long (sorry) and thorough video of the story so far!

Great video Robin! You have so many of your builds that are my favorite. I also admire the old catalogue days. You nailed it for sure! Fast food corner is still my favorite building in your city, number two would be your train station. The uv light really did make your haunted subway station look really awesome! I can't wait to see all the underwater scenes and future plans for your city. Great job and thank you for all your hard work you put into showing us Brick Nottingham. Awesome video!
Thanks so much. I think that might be my list of favourite builds too!
I don't like long videos much but nice city! If it was mine I would focus more on the railway. What video does your cargo train derail in? i want to see an epic crash in one of your videos!@@RobinHoodBricks
Please make a museum, Robin.
Of all the different themes
Like one area pirates other castle another space and another cow boys yea that would be cool
I second this, modular style with a few floors
Wow that's a lot of support. I have a museum planned but it is open backed for the line next to the hospital. That's good for seeing inside though!
Please do some references to LEGO Adventures Dino Island, Orient Expedition, and whatever the Egyptian sets from LEGO Adventures where called, and some other references to LEGO Knights, and lots of other old LEGO themes!
If I had this in my house in my child hood I would play in there everyday
Me too. I did it now because I wanted to in my childhood!
I always wanted something like this at home
Thanks for the extensive tour. Great to see all the different stories and vignettes.
For me.....this is the reason I love you city and your channel.
There are many Lego channels with towering building and massive layouts, but they have no “soul”.
There are very few minifigures , just buildings, roads, etc.
You on the other hand, have hundreds of minifigs populating your city and everyone of them has a story.
That makes it much more interesting to see.
Thanks for all the detail.....it really does make a huge difference.
Soul is important, you are right. Empty square towers are very dull, in my mind. Thanks so much for sharing!
I love the comedic scenes in this city especially the sun burnt guy
There are too many to count now!
Would you please build a fire station in Bricknottingham
Or how you write Bricknotthingham
I decided early on not to do a police r fire station as they are done a bit too often!
@@RobinHoodBricks Perhaps with a facade: an open garage with half a truck coming from the wall... That way safety is assured and they don't take any space! ;)
Maybe a good compromise!
the city really needs a museum I just thought of that!
Yes, I have a museum in the queue!
@@RobinHoodBricks awesome
I always forget just how much stuff is packed in until you do these update / tour videos, Robin. Just sooooooo much here, so much detail... don't know what I could say that I haven't before but just please keep this all going!! :)
You are so welcome!
Robin, please, please, please revert to your previous video upload time schedule. Waiting an additional ~8 hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays is nothing short of AGONY!!! Thank you!
I like it because I have some time from about 3:20 gmt to 4:20, so I can watch the videos right as they come out
me too there's a big hole in my life nothing to look forward to at lunchtime 😢
I'm sorry to hear that. The trial period must continue for at least a month though. Sorry!
@@RobinHoodBricks Please change it. I can't wake up at 6:30 anymore.
of all the cities I have seen I think yours is the best
Very kind!
I thought I was done hearing that ghost train... Joking aside, the city looks fantastic and all the small details just make it amazing. I was wondering if you were a Doctor Who fan because you could get the Tardis set or make your own version with the printed tiles and have one of the Doctors stepping out into the city. Thank you for sharing your city with us all!
Thank you very much. Not a big Doctor Who guy, sorry!
“Token angry Scot outside the pub” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Not too offensive I hope, haha!
This is the nicest looking lego city ive seen so far
Thank you. It's all the different levels that make it nicer I think!
Great, great details! I love all the small scenes you bring into each corner, each area. You have a great creative mind and the end result looks fantastic. As someone who just discovered LEGO, I can see why it is a fan favorite amongst many people around the world. There is something to being able to create your own miniature world right in your own home. That total freedom is very refreshing. Hope to see more updates to your city in the near future!
Thank you so much. Glad you liked it!
Woah it’s getting on so well!!
Yay!
It’s amazing how far the city has come. I’m sure it’ll go further! I know you have lots of plans ahead, but for the road going to the wall, maybe you can consider putting a tunnel facade so it’ll look more interesing. Have a good LEGO weekend!
Hmm, I'll consider it!
If I was a lego minifigure I would love to live in bricknottingham
Yeah, me too!
Bichbooks looks amazing next to Fast food Corner! Great to see a city tour 💖
It fits really well there, I agree!
Best Lego city from all you tubers .👍🍀🍀🍀🍀
Wow, thanks!
It looks like a prostate exam is being given at 3:28. 😂
In the hospital? Yes, that's right!
Awesome city by the way. So much detail.
The neon green and blue looks amazing Robin
Many thanks indeed!
I can not believe that I have never noticed Sun Burn Guy. Awesome. Great work.
What? He is a favourite as it took me ages to get all the right bits from different stores. An official series minifigure of the future perhaps!
@@RobinHoodBricks Nothing better than building your own MInifig, then cracking up every time you look at it.
I couldn't agree more!
Fantastic!!! I love your city!!! I enjoy all the little scenes!!! Verry inspiaring !!!! And realy cool with the black light!!! Thank you for charing it with us!!!
My pleasure!
Brilliant! I really love all of the life like & humorous little minifig scenes everywhere you look x Hospital had me cracking up straight away 🤦🏼♀️🤣🤣🤣
Haha, yes they keep a smile on my face too!
next year this time around it will probably become a three part video! Loved it!
Yes, it's getting too big to do properly in one go, that's for sure!
You could add a vampire to the bus to represent Romania, Robin!
Haha, very true. I have a vampire but he's gonna be a fun scene in my Cargo yard I think. I'll try to remember to mention Transylvania and Romania!
Awesome✨ city tour, everything looks 👀 amazing 🎉😻💕, every time i spot new things i missed the frist time round, 👍😺🐈
This is incredible! And your attention to the minutiae of the respective minifigs is ingenious. I truly envy your skill!
Thank you so much. It keeps on growing, haha!
My family and I just started our own city and we were searching for ideas when we came across your channel. All I can say is wow. The level of detail and the little stories each minifig seems to have is just amazing. Absolutely love your city and the fun you put into it is absolutely contagious. One day I wish to have something half as good as this. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you very much. Well enjoy all the back catalogue. Everything has its own video. Good luck with yours!
Wow, the amount of work you've done since the last proper tour is incredible! Really excited for the underwater scene and the fairground now
Yes, it is coming on well and still with no end in sight, haha!
Ooo! I just had a funny idea, something nostalgic from my childhood! You should make a troublesome truck for you freight train. 🚂
I think that is a Thomas reference. I don't know much about that!
Up until the point when you mentioned the door I thought you either had a secret hatch getting into that room or you actually teleported yourself in there... The city is INSANE. I love the work you have done with the details, the little stories, the every single detail connecting every different scene, the depth of the city. Your metro stations and the British city urban style are so cool to watch. Congrats mate!! Adding on full lights and it will all be on a different level!!
Wow, thanks very much. Yes, it's nice to have everything entwined like real life rather than rows of sets. Haha, funny about the hatch!
Oooh, the haunted subway with blacklight-- AMAZING!
It does look good doesn't it!
Awesome city, just wauw. All the little details
i love your idea of the façades. Bringing out that imagination in all of us of your city is great! Keep it up! I look forward for more!
More coming all the time. Factory build today!
So amazing city and best design robin
You're so kind!
Downside of ridiculously long trains... not enough time to film the empty station. Upside... station is rarely empty and therefore looks epic!
It beats having a second one parked up in a siding!
It is a joy to have you back. Loved the new tube station. Look forward to whatever comes next. Thank you.
Yay, thank you!
Hi Robin,
Thanks for the upload once again! You’ve come a long way since the start last year.
I love your mentioning of the lego city posters as an inspiration for the city. Lots of stuff happening at the same time, and that’s exactly what you’ve build in Brick Nottingham. With your ‘rules’ and standards i think you’ve inspired a lot of us. Especially the vertically layered style, 5/6 different main heights in the city, that really adds to the reality of the city. Also, the use of most sets as they are (with some minor tweeks ofcourse) is one i like very much.
Still Modular Row is my favorite section in the city. I’d love to have a stroll on the boardwalk over there 😉
Thank you, yes the rules help me keep the same style throughout and make a believable city!
For lighting the underwater area, I'd definitely recommend going with the UV and some kind of water effect light. You can find those by searching for water ripple disco light or something along those lines. Those are what I'd go with if I ever do one.
Great tip. Thanks!
Well done robin, great video. As I always say, I love all the details you put into your city. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks, Jarv. Have you had a nice break? I see you're back doing the videos!
@@RobinHoodBricks yes, it was a nice break thanks. I struggled to motivate myself to get going with it again so after buying a couple of sets and making some space I made a elevated train moc that I really enjoyed making, now I’m making another corner modular MOC and I’m loving making it so in short, or possibly a long winded reply yes I think I’m back.
Woop woop!
Absolutely brilliant! What an inspiration
Yay, thanks. There's more recent tour than that too. One on 1 Jan 2022!
LOL! Sun burnt guy! I laughed out loud!
The beach is full of awesome scenes. It took ages!
Subscribed to your channel after seeing this video. I love how you take viewer ideas and incorporate them into your builds. I know this is unlikely and would take an excessive amount of work but one huge modification that would really sell the entire city would be if you painted the walls sky blue. I feel like the whole city would look even more stunning if it appeared to be set beneath a sunny sky.
Mrs Hood has already forbidden painting her walls blue, haha. It would be a nightmare now anyway.
Nice to have a genuine Hairy Biker as a subscriber. Unless that's not the famous Dave Myers!
This is a LONG video. Still love it anyway Robin, I love any content you post.
Also with the 3D Subway Station entrance in front of the bank, it's too near the marina. Theres a station in Sydney Australia called Circular Quay, now it's on Sydney's Subway like system and its overground because it's too near the water. I know you don't go for reality, but still
@@BinkBricks Perhaps the real station is quite inland, but there's a long tunnel leading up to these steps like so many other stations
Brick Nottingham is built on solid rock so no seepage!
Thanks for the tour!! I agree with Mrs. Hood about it being too much to take in all at once, but that's why we need these in-depth tours! In fact, I'd say an even more in-depth look at subsections of the city might be worth trying. And when might we look forward to the underwater (under-table?) scene? I've been looking forward to that for a while. Keep up the great work!!!
Yes, I think I'll have to do sections soon, rather than the whole thing in one go!
WOW. that is a filled video. I really think your room is full then you move the camera and boom there is so much extra room. you really have a tight area full of fun things to see. and with the trains and subway plus tram moving it is a fun room to watch. I love the black light in the subway haunted location with all the glow effects. so much packed into a short video. As always thank you for sharing with all of us your amazing Brick Nottingham.
Well I'm glad you called it short and not me, haha. I tried to keep it short and I failed. But it's certainly full of interesting stuff!
OMG the 2013 fire sets were my first LEGO sets as a kid seeing that picture means so much to me those were always my fav part the things in the back
Yes, it was a great time for LEGO CIty!
Thank you for turning off the trains for the tour. They're cool but terribly loud and distracting for me with my Aspergers.
And Brick Nottingham is exciting enough with them at rest. I love your tours.
Hey brick sloth ur new city mayor is also in his city hiding in the cliffs by the electric switch. Haha
They are a distraction for me talking fluidly too but I have to have them on for a while as that's what most people want best of all!
I would totally shop at that dispensary!
Pharmacy, yes!
That’s amazing 😍
Much more progress since then!
apart from the mouth dropping beautiful builds and design ideas (including all the fun little scenes), I think that what makes this city this wonderful is the reasoning like you mentioned here 31:14 Thank you for sharing this inspiring video!
Wow, thank you. Much appreciated. I have two later tours than this as well. AND a brand new one this Friday to show everything up to today!
i want a person in blue pants with a white shirt that has a cake on it for me...lol
I have that torso in the Park I think!
@@RobinHoodBricks nice
i have that torso also
Satisfying
I Am Now Happy And Satisfied
Great to hear!
Amazing Lego City, good sir, and very inspiring aswell :)
Thanks very much, but it's come on a lot more since then. I have another tour for 2022 as well!
@@RobinHoodBricks Oh nice, have you released that video yet or have i missed it? :)
Yesss finally
Hope you enjoyed it!
Wow! the city is coming well! Do you have any future plans for the trains?
Yes, I have MOC carriage plans but no track expansions planned!
It’s so full of inspiration, Robin! Thanks for sharing yet again 👌🏼😄
You are so welcome!
looking amazing !!!!!
Thank you!
Dude this tour cracked me up about 4 times, I gave it a watch because i LOVE Lego and am working on a town square right now, i love this, thanks for sharing, thumbs up and subbed, also maybe get set 60306, would have some good pieces for your sports shop and others.
Welcome to the channel. Really glad you enjoyed it. There's a detailed video on every single thing you see!
No matter how you see it, this is playing dolls in obsess.
Love it!
Love it 😍
Amazing progress of the city and so much nice stuff still coming up. Really nice long video also which covered almost everything.
The underwater scene is gonna be epic; I would still go first for an apertizer for an underwater scene under the river: it also will learn you some things before starting that huge area.
Yeah it's so small a space that though. I reckon I might destroy more than I create!
This is my dream diorama. Definitely subbed.
Great to hear. Many videos to enjoy and even a more recent tour at the beginning of the year!
I just watch the video and your city is so cool. I’m in the process of making my own LEGO city
Have fun!
My only complaint about a nearly-hour long video is that this week, I didn't have time to watch it until Sunday! Wonderful review, Robin. Keep up the great work.
Phew. Glad you liked it!
Cool city robin! I wish I had one like you do :D
Very, very impressive!!😉👍
great city, so many details :D
Thank you!
Awesome! Can’t wait to see the new modular!
Me either!
What an amazing city! I love it so much! Great work!
Thanks so much!
Awesome city . Watched on the big screen and loved it. The ending of Black light Spooky Subway was a highlight. 👍🏽
It really was good wasn't it!
Black light works perfectly!! City looks amazing Robin. Best I've seen so far.
It was rather impressive wasn't it!
@@RobinHoodBricks definitely deserves a pat on the back for that one 👍👍
I love the over view
Yay!
Great job mate!!!
Thanks a lot!
Well done awesome video looks fantastic. Very busy city 😀🎃keep up the good work
Thank you so much, will do!
Excellent tour I do appreciate every single scene in your Lego city!
Glad you like them!
this is art
Many thanks!
Good to see the Lego variation of Nottingham.
Yeah I agree, thanks!
This is ridiculously incredible man 😍👍🏽👍🏽
Thanks so much. Each tour focuses on something different and there's a dedicated video to each build!
@@RobinHoodBricks Love it!! ❤️ How many Lego pieces do you think you have in your city?
Btw, I have a lego giveaway going on my channel right now, feel free to check it out if you like ☺️
Great video Robin! Really enjoy the variety and humour in your city. Would love to see you build a grocery store or farmer’s market. A museum would be very cool too.
Museum and supermarket are ready / kinda in development respectively!
Robin I cant help thinking that poor guy on the window ledge of the apartment must be a skeleton by now !!
great video love your city !!
Haha, yes he's paying the price!
The Patreon train! Very cool!
Glad you enjoyed it. I have a newer tour video too, on 31/12/2021!
@@RobinHoodBricks, I will get there, too! :)
Impressive. Very impressive. So impressive that just couldn't watch it in one go. Also very jealous.
However, if this was my city there would be one thing I would do completely different. And that's the train track. It's cool this way, but I would want two loops, the current short one and a second that would span the entire room, and then have the trains switch from one to the next during the run. Because I absolutely love trains.
But I honestly wouldn't know how to realise this in the current setup. Plus I realise it runs counter to your wish of maximum space usage and rails take space.
Yes, it's purely a space thing. If I had more space I'd do that but I really want a dense believable city!
The city looks amazing. Keep up the great work!
Thanks a ton!
Looks amazing! Would love to have that much room to set up mine....cheers mate
I'm very lucky!
Really great video, loved seeing everything.
Thank you so much!
Thorough tour it is! I love every bit of this city. A few comments...I hope the fairground isn't going to take up too much space, it feels like a waste, although I know you'll make it look phenomenal. You could move the monorail station a bit earlier so you don't need a fork to the airport too. Oh, and any more fake subway entrances? Maybe one near the airport? Lastly (hint hint nudge nudge) bollards at entrance to Diagon Alley? Anyways BEST CITY EVER
Thank you so much. Yes there will be more subway entrances for sure. Fairground I hope will be special as it'll be 100% motorised!
Another miracle city tour. The city exudes magic and the variety of colors is wonderful. But I see a new application to drive the tour bus. Sleima would like to do that. He says he has experience because he drove a bus across New York in Ghosbusters II. As a payment he just wants to stop at the many restaurants. While the tour guests take photos, he always eats something :-)
I am glad that you like my stories.
Haha, I do. Slimer would be terrifying as the bus driver, but then again I do have a double decker planned!
Fantastic
Thank you so much!
So cool. Love it
Thanks, Wes!
Child actor at the cinema looks like he could be Warwick Davis
Yes it does!
Hey! you should build an indoor shopping centre, love the video
I'm planning something like that!
Epic!
Thanks so much, but there's a more recent tour, with a lot more in it, at the beginning of this year!
Awesome city!! Just found your channel. Really love ❤️ your city
Welcome, and thank you so much. There's a video on absolutely everything so enjoy!
I don't know if you've seen The Lost Boys movie from the 80's, but there's a scene where the teenage vampires are hanging on the underside of a bridge as a train goes over. Just something I thought of when you showed the kids on the edge of the train bridge.
Forgot to add that I love your city. My favorite part was the subway. Haven't seen that before.
Love Lost Boys. Good idea.
I take it you've seen the second subway station as well? Depends how old this tour is. Check out the Subway playlist!
@@RobinHoodBricks Yeah, there were two stations; one regular and then one with the Ghostbusters. I didn't really check the date, so I was thinking you'd done it for Halloween (this year). =) I just got back into Lego a few months ago, so it's neat seeing all the ideas and builds people are doing and sharing on UA-cam.
Very nice
What a brilliant build, it’s absolutely magnificent I could only dream of making something as impressive as this, you should be proud
And the Destiny’s bounty restaurant idea is just fantastic, it looks like a great place to eat
Yes that's one of my favourites. I've expanded a lot since then. Check it out!
Wow it's awesome to see how far the cities come! I wonder if the mystery building is a museum? If it is I'm sure it would fit perfectly in Brick Nottingham! By the way before you changed your time you posted at 12:00 am but now you post it to 8:00 am West Coast time. Thanks for doing that! It's much more convenient for me!
Glad to hear it. I have a museum coming but it's not the special building!
I love your city and I have something like this but not as big I get my ideas from you
Great!
