What I like about your lego city is that there is no empty, boring space anywhere. There is an action happening in every, single place.
I'm glad you appreciate this. Firstly the scenes are the most fun aspect but also empty LEGO cities look so, well, empty. Nowhere near as good!
@@RobinHoodBricks Yeah I love how every part of your city even if you cannot fit one brick in it you put something
First thing I thought of when you mentioned the closet. Well that can’t be used anymore for its original purpose...why not remove the door and, presto, more LEGO room. Great place for a mine or cave or another location for a glow in the dark scene. Great city, really enjoy your videos. Keep up the great work.
It is full of the guest bedroom stuff. Anyway it's firmly boxed in now!
This is by far my favourite lego city on UA-cam. It feels "lived-in" if that makes sense. It is not just a model it's environmental storytelling with lego. It's awesome!
Yay, that's what I was going for. Kinda real feeling but not at all realistic. Very much a LEGO city but, yes, lived in!
For the pirate ship you should make a dock around it for boarding the ride. You put barrels, palm trees, and other pirate figs for detail. Love the city by the way! Keep up the good work!
where you put the mayor you could put a bunch of people on the road
If I define this video the word It would be: Amazing city of Lego. Thank you for all the videos that you send to us
I feel like the cities grown even faster than ever before within these 25 videos! Love your shirt Robin! I love everything from the train shed, the fairground rides, the farm and the train carriages! Could you do the Super Secret Police this Monday Robin? I just wanted to ask you Robin but what is your favorite thing about your channel and of course your favorite Brick Nottingham build? Thanks for the awesome tour!
Now that i look back at it, this is the coolest city made of lego i have ever seen.
I think I agree with you: the underground train is such a cool and exciting feature. But by Cthulhu, your city has grown sooo much! It’s amazing. Although now I can’t help thinking: what would happen if you ever need to move!! 😉
I think if you shorten the distance between each wheel on each car it might help make the cars run smoother. I think that is an excellent idea, worth the tweaking to figure out.
City looks awesome! Building space is running out fast! Best start knocking down the walls Robin!
Brilliant 👌 thank you Robin, 💕😻 it all, another awesome city tour, 😸🐈👍
Great Update and tour as ever. For me, you and your city are the essence of Lego: it's supposed to be fun. And I can see (and hear) in your Videos how you have fun and it makes me happy too while watching. Thank you for all the effort you put in that channel and your city ofc.
I watch most of your videos Robin, but what I like about the tours you do is that it’s a reminder of how much details you put into your city. Love what you’ve done. The bad guys hideout on the docks is still my favourite as that was the first video I saw on your channel and followed you ever since. Thank you for sharing. 👍🏻
Cheers, Jarv. How's your channel going? Nice to see the new road plates in action!
@@RobinHoodBricks my channel is like a marathon runner. I will get there but very slowly. 😂 I do love the new roads, I really like the extra creative room it’s given me, incidentally your road technique is one of the best I’ve seen. Unfortunately it would require me completely rebuilding my city to implement it. Thank you 👍🏻
Loved the Simpsons monorail reference. :-D (And, of course, Brick Nottingham is just a pure joy to view.)
I'd still like to see more flowers to fill up the gaps around the train track
also Super secret police train wagon!
(like the lego set police truck trailer command/office thing)
Woohoo a city tour and I just got my bricks and pieces order from January 27th excellent. I understood that simpsons reference didn't know you were a simpsons fan.
Have you thought about replacing the light on the table with some LED Shop lights? They're not too bad price-wise now and you can link them together so if you turn one on, they all turn on. Made lighting my city a TON easier and so you have proper lighting on all sides of the city and stuff now.
This sounds really interesting. That would be great. Could you please send me a link of an example? Please do as a new comment on any video so it is easy for me to find. Thanks a lot!
F@cking great. All the small updates together make a supertown!
I was looking at the facades, and was thinking about if you were to add some that seem to be behind the other facades, for a bit of depth
I believe he's tried, with little accomplishment. He should try again though :)
Yes I did try, and they just look smaller. I think they work from dead ahead but at angles the illusion fails!
Wow, the city is really looking great.
A for the minis, you could add a motor to another of the subway carriages, but otherwise, I'm sure you could find another great place to put them.
keep up the good work though 🎉🎊
I think that there's a lot of potential for some different custom vehicles, like another bus, some UK -style ambulances, skip wagon and others that aren't popping to mind right now.
For the Italian Job scene, you could attach them to the haunted subway train and keep all three carriages of the ‘toothpaste stripe’ train attached to each other. Or have them how you showed us and the other 2 ‘toothpaste stripe’ carriages can be a separate train. Mortise another stripe carriage to do that. Just a thought!
Nice view of the balcony balls. Everything is humming away really nicely.
Fantastic city. Underground subway station is my next addition to my city. Going to watch your videos again for inspiration.
These city-wide tours always blow my mind with how much you've done through all this time, Robin. I'm sure I've said everything before but just wow..... and keep it up!!
Looks really great and vibrant with life! Absolutely love the haunted section!
Thanks, yeah it looks great under UV light. I think I showed that as part of the previous tour if it wasn't in this one. 25 videos back!
Absolutely gorgeous city and layout. Excited to see the amusement park/ rides all come together.
Looking amazing i love your city so full of colours and different things!
Awesome and fun tour again, the city looks marvelous! And luckily there's still some real estate here and there. A small Sherwood forrest facade between the airport tower and farm maybe?
Great city! I absolutely love the subway idea. Gives a subterranean dimension to the build and seeing the train pop along once in a while is really cool. Be good if the trains could stop at each station momentarily (and doors open if you could engineer it!). So many of these sets are retired I dare to think what it would cost to get them all nowadays! (I only just started collecting) :-(
Yes, we all have sets from beyond our time that we may never get. Oh well.
The best part of the subway is watching it drive through one station and then appear moments later at the next station!
Great Simpsons reference from the monorail episode
WOW this is actually realy awesome i can see the detail you put in it thank you for this video!
For the lights I was talking about, these are what I bought (not, Amazon US, but you could probably buy in the UK or whatever): www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G2Q4VZN/ They let you link the sets together and are VERY bright, so situate them down the middles of roads and stuff where you get most people "look" in your city to fill it in well! Just think that way, you could get rid of the lights sitting on the tables and get more space!
Thanks for that. Yes, ideally I need to get rid of the big lights as they are massive. I had a camera light but that cast massive shadows. More ceiling lights may be the way!
@@RobinHoodBricks It really does help, especially if you lay them in front and behind the buildings, then the shows only cast straight downward and looks good from all angles!
I love your city. The little scenes that are scattered around Bricknottingham make me smile. I can't wait to continue watching it grow. The Robin Hood statue is just what the city needed. Keep up the work. Thanks for the wonderful videos.
Amazing work! I've loved every moment of it! These videos bring me such joy, Thanks Robin!
The minis from the Italian job is an absolute genius idea!!!!
Thank you very much for sharing your LEGO city, videos, skills. I’m sure it has affected a lot of people in a positive way. keep it up!
WOW your city has grown incredibly. Awesome work with everything. Amazing mocs with your trains and buildings.
you could put your minis driving out of the GBC factory
I like your city tours very much..., 👌👍👍 it looks really awesome.... 😀 very nice and big city...
Magnificent! Just a thought but to add some verticality to your city you could build a 'space elevator'. It would be huge from city to your ceiling with observation decks and a landing pads. Also, you could have a motorised elevator going up and down each side. They'd be plenty of space to put mini figures in funny situations and it would help to tie in your space scenes with your city. Im in no illusion that this would be a huge undertaking but im sure your Lego building skills are more than up to the task. Also, i bet Derby hasn't got one!!😉👍
Wow, that is a bold plan. Maybe that could be the first build of Phase 2? I like the idea in principle although I will do under the sea first or I'll get complaints!
Also I find that making a camp ground fills up a lot of space, and in my camp ground besides the campers, there’s a golf cart rental, laundry mat,etc
I really liked the video, can't wait to see what you add next to your city. Keep up the good work. Hope everyone is having a nice day.
What a bizar cool city it is that you made!!!! Keep up the great work!!!
You could make a ground level monorail station just on the other side of the standing hole. To show how the monorail crosses over the standing hole.
On it's own? Yes that would work. The tram wouldn't reach it obviously, but that's cool. Don't think I have the stickers though!
I quite liked the minis in the subway, but if you can't have all the carriages and it's impacting the performance then I agree that you should find another place to put them.
I just love your city Robin. So many cool scenes with a story behind them, lots of them are pretty hilarious. I definitely like your future plans for Brick Nottingham. Fast food corner looks fantastic next to the new police modular. Is there any particular thing in Brick Nottingham that you would want to completely redo? Excellent video my friend!
Hmmm, maybe. I want to overhaul a few areas but I'll finish the room first. I think the harbour is great but also has a lot more potential!
I hope the GBC gets made! I’ve supported it on Lego ideas, such a cool idea 😎
The Italian Job cars in the subway is a novel idea, but I’d rather them have a prominent place in the city proper. Have them jumping a ramp over the road in procession for example.
Stunning! Thanks for the vid!
Fantastic city!
This is LOVELY!!! Well done!!! 🤩🙃👏
It's way bigger now, haha. Check out my video of 31st Dec 2021 for the last big tour. Glad you liked it!
Most fun Lego city on UA-cam. Well done Sir
Thank you so much that means a lot. New tour out on Friday 4pm UK time!
Robin, try a more solid link between the Mini's - even a semi rigid tube. I'm guessing the string is "squaring off" in the corners?
To be honest rigid links don't work well on the corners at all unless very short. Derailments galore!
Wow! Very inspirational city!
Love it
thank you for sharing. So nice to see a British Lego collector, we seen scarce 😂 you are very talented indeed. Good for you. Take care , Danielle ✌🏼
Have voted. Fingers crossed for you. It is an insane build. Just amazing. Well done and goodluck 👍🏼
Love love love it. Still tons of space for more builds
Omg omg 😱 I just saw that tram came video and a lot of other content it was sooo good you are my favourite Lego UA-camr
Yes I asked for this I'm so excited to watch😁
I've been watching since a little after the castle videos, and I have to express my many thanks for keeping every video new and interesting, I don't think I've really recognized that you've never put adds on your videos, even though I would most definitely still watch haha, thank you for the great content!
My pleasure. Yes I hate ads in the videos so I don't have them for you lovely viewers. So any extra help is appreciated, however small. Keeping the ideas fresh and so frequent is difficult but fun!
I absolutely love this city. You have done a wonderful job with a different story in every inch. As far as the Mini’s go, if it were my city, I would build some steep steps like those in Rome and have the minis going up or down them. You could make the step coming down from up the hill behind the hotel perhaps
(9:05) ... your cargo train ... with your Minis it seems like you got your car go train right there.
If that is just a cupboard in the corner of your room, could you take the door off and use that as a building space? Obviously with Mrs Hood's permission 😅
With the mine being in that corner you could use the cupboard space as a mountain and use shelves in the cupboard to get different layers and create different scenes... like a batcave for Batman who is already patrolling Brick Nottingham 🤷🏻♂️
Great tour tho, it's amazing the imagination and work you have put into your city! Well done on such a fantastic achievement 👍🏻🏹
Thanks a lot. The closet is full of spare bedroom stuff as that was the old use of the room. It is out of bounds!
@@RobinHoodBricks fair enough, just a thought... I wouldn't want you to get in trouble with Mrs Hood 😅
I can see those minis derailing and then derailing the train. This will subsequently derail your temper Robin.
On the other hand,........ It could be entertaining for us simple folk. 😁🤔
You could use that underground space for more of the mine
Blows me away how much this city has grown and evolved since the days I started watching your channel when there were just a few buildings.
I don't think I could deal with the noise level of all that turned on, not in person. I wouldn't be able to think. Props for being able to talk over it
The city looks great. The hard detail work is worth it and does not make the city boring. Many more beautiful videos and the secret police have to lock the mayor of Derby in jail or the wagon from the Haunted Station is hungry :-)
Wow thanks UA-cam I didn't get a notification. Looks so cool Robin :) love all your builds and the process you go through to make them.
A Motor in your Harbor Cranes might be a cool idea also.
Oh man oh man. Your channel has grown so much. Good job Robin. This video got me so hyped for the upcoming videos😁. Can't wait. And about thoss minis. I haven't seen the movie, but they look really good behind the subway, but sadly, as you said, it won't work. I was thinking about putting in a scene where they are robbing Weasleys wizard weezes and fireworks are blowing all around etc.
PS: support the GBC factory. If it's gonna be a set, well see Robins face😂😂😂
Wow, this city is growing very quickly. So much progress in only 25 video's. I absolutely love the haunted subway, next tour you should show the glow in the dark variant, it's absolutely amazing.
Many nice things to come. It will take 1-2 years more before we move to the second round :).
Thank you for all or the nice content, it's an amazing journey. Keep up the good content, but take also enough rest to keep the spirit high!
Life is so busy to keep up this level of creativity. Once fully free I might have to reduce output. We'll see. I do enjoy filling this space though!
@@RobinHoodBricks I can imagine; creativity is factor you can't plan in your agenda: it's something that comes at randomly unplanned moments. I personally admire your general dedication of posting 3 times a week nice video's. Though, I would fully respect and understand if you decide that 3 times a week is too frequently to deliver good content. Once a week a brick haul, and once a build would still be very enjoyfull for your viewers! (and I guess way more relaxed for you!!)
If you want to stick to three video's/week another option is to:
1. brick haul
2. build video
3. general video (a tour, a demo on your building process/bricklink order/interview/etc.)
I guess the third option needs kind-of less preparation and video-editting as you can make the video more on-the-spot (like the brick-haul).
Anyway, keep up with the good videos!
Looks great robin
A stunning and amazing Lego city you have!
Thanks so much. It's been great fun to build and there's a lot left to do!
Love your city keep up the good work
love your lego city! an idea for your 300th video, all the scene's of the minifigures you have.
Can't believe that the video I've wanted for weeks is coming on my birthday! Yay!
Whoa, so cool
This is nice! Also could you do a custom 60197 Train Car Mod into a subway car? It will be awesome as a special subway train! And when you can! Could you do a train yard?
Looking forward to the train shed expansion. Have you thought about attaching drones to the sides of your buildings. I’ll be voting for your gbc
I have two delivery drones. One is on Fast Food Corner, and the other is on the tall red façade!
Yes I was watching this an building a train bridge an putting stud plate under my train track s to be level. Another awsum vid ..robin we thank u to its so great knowing u just started of with one Lego train. Then building a Lego city...gumming I had to pull mine up for moving house but got lots of pic s so I can ree build back to how my lay out was .plus add an make it biger its just the waiting time of when...but like I seed got lots of Lego in caravan to build. With. Was great watching an adding to my build at same time. U showing around your Lego city...till next time. I shell be watching....thank u lots n lots robin...
Bricknottingham looks amazing! I've sorta recently started building my own city. Initially in 2018 I started in one room, decided that was too small, so I moved it to another room in 2019 and decided that was too small as well. So since a few weeks I've set up a rough draft of my city in its current room where it's gonna stay since there are no bigger rooms than that. :P
Nice to see the entire city again
Awesome lego room :)!!!
Thanks. It's even more full now. I've got a more recent tour on 31/12 plus a load more videos since then!
Your city looks amazing
I love the rival mayors
Very nice city.
congrats on 1,000 supporters on the gbc building! 10% THERE!😉
Yes, but very much slower than Fast Food Corner. I guess the motion can't be easily seen without exploring it first. Oh well!
Hello from Japan. Have you ever made a video about your harbor section? Would love to see it. Im making one as well. However, mine has the Big Exploration Ship, a Coast Guard Ship from 2017(I think haha), and a few Navy ships and a Submarine😅
Hahaha, nice Simpsons reference.
Monoraaaaaaaail, Monoraaaaaail, Monoraaaaaail.
Homer: Mono- DOH!
Hello Robin! Great video, as always.
I'd just like to say that you truly have been one of the greatest inspirations I've ever had. Ever since I discovered your Marina, I've watched nearly every single video you've posted, and I hardly ever skip through them. It's certainly weird to think you only had a few hundred subscribers back then! 😁 I even paid more than $20 (£14) for the Robin Hood minifigure for my city, just to pay my respect! Overall, your city is probably one of the most unique and most fascinating LEGO cities out there and the enjoyment I've had out of your content has just been unparalleled. Thank you.
And with that, cheers to the next twenty five videos, and hopeful success to the GBC Factory!
What a lovely comment to receive. Many thanks for that as it will fill me with energy for the next videos. So glad my work gives you joy and that you have a Robin of your own too!
