    Wow you've really outdone yourself Robin, I absolutely love the new sleeper club car! You did a really awesome job using up most of the pieces from the donor car. I give you kudos for planning it out so most of the pieces are used and it really does look swoosh. I love the roof design on this car as well. Now you have the best of both! I don't have this train yet but it's on my list to get and I'll be sure to creat one of these fantastic cars. Thank you for sharing the part numbers for the pieces you mentioned. I just love how close it comes to hitting items in your city. Really awesome video Robin! I always look forward to seeing more of your videos!

    Another great design!
    I meant to give some tips on your “two” passenger train video, but I never got around to it, so here are some relevant thoughts ...
    1. If you still have the motorized wheels on the rear car, when they are not running, they create a lot of drag. I would replace them with a brick-built design of passive wheels that looks almost the same. This will speed up the train significantly.
    2. in addition, because the new passenger train design looks like the high-speed European trains, I assume it is also a "high speed" train like its predecessor (i.e., your older passenger train). As such, with all those cars you have now (including a hefty 34-long club car), I would make it work with two sets of motorized wheels like your "Beast". This will comfortably give you the "high speed"! :-)

    • @RobinHoodBricks
      @RobinHoodBricks 4 роки тому +5

      Oh no, I'd only have dumb wheels on a non powered engine.
      I may add another motor, of required, but I find a PF on a rechargeable battery box on a passenger train is plenty powerful enough!

    really quite cool idea the modification..
    I just started bit of collect some Bricks Train now since few weeks, after many years of not having anything lego at all..
    My old 9V Train with the current rails Lego not more want now, is sold since many years my children grew out then...
    So I have to adjust what I am doing now with this, I dont have the space to build up some bigger things.
    Time will tell.
    But funny is now, I just saw few videos last days ago from this train here, the one with the Cab Car instead of 2 Engine units is exactly what I like.
    So I just bought yesterday !! haha 2 packs of this train as I saw what you doing with it.
    The price is here in Switzerland quite came down now, cause lego anounced the new bullet train in a neon green like..
    So time was right to buy it.
    I want doing it only as 5 piece train, Engine , 3x passenger cars and the Cab passenger car like you did ( other video ), 1 motor should be strong enough to pull that.
    The good thing then is also my second motor and the Hub I can use for another passenger train I have already bought few weeks ago wich gives my 7 piece units long Intercity Train , while this here yellow only is planned as a Local fast train we call that Interregio.
    So your Cab Car Design definitivly will become a brother here in Switzerland hehe.. soon

      @RobinHoodBricks 4 роки тому

      I did the stripe going down on the white train version so I thought I'd break it up here for variety. Of course you could easily amend it to do the continuous stripe here too.
      Jacobs bogies are interesting but they can create a weird gap, in LEGO, where the bigger bogie would've been. This is especially true on these 6x34 bases. Maybe one day!

    I've noticed that all lego city passenger trains made before 60337 don't even have doors, which makes me think how people get on and off them

    • @RobinHoodBricks
      @RobinHoodBricks 9 місяців тому +1

      Well they all used to in the 80s and 90s but then they stopped. It's easy enough to add them.
      Remember virtually all the cars don't have doors either, and one seat!

    i just realized that the white line on the sleeper car was cut and remembering from the video similar to this one about the white passenger train he didn't cut the line off and here it was more than possible to keep it unbroken. even then though, that's just my memory and ocd teaming up to annoy me. genuinely, i love the mocs and and kinda wanna do this but yeah, well those prices speak for themselves.

    I love this design, i'm trying to collect parts to do my own moc based on this design.
    When looking for that 6x34 base there's one with and without bottom tubes, i'm not sure what that difference is?
    Could you tell me the part number of the base you used for these 2 double decker mocs you made?
    Love the videos, awesome moc's!

    • @RobinHoodBricks
      @RobinHoodBricks 2 роки тому

      You can use either version. One has studs on the bottom, not relevant, and one has two studs missing which I added the little ladders onto. So preferably the one with these studs but really it won't be noticeable on the outside. Enjoy!
