Just watched your video ride from Elston. Elston Hall home of Charles Darwin. I'm retired now? But I restored the wood floors there some yrs ago. Which was my trade. Came across your channel through me watching other vids on clumber cycling. I've subscribed & liked the 2 I've watched. I'm 78 & just converted to ebike. A fold up one I can get in my Campervan
I love the road I raced for years and where I live the roads are great ,I do gravel just for a change as there’s not an awful lot of it in the area. If I go out on my cyclocross bike for say 90 -100 kms about 10 kms are gravel anyway great video 👍
Yes, short and sharp. Doesn't help that you can't see very well both ways until you're virtually entering the junction whilst still climbing, often ending with an undignified unclipping should there be a car. There's also an odd auditory effect that makes you think there's a car coming when there's often nothing nearby. The buildings seem to amplify the sound of vehicles that aren't close, but you have to assume they might be 🤔
@@robpetrie cool, will do thanks. Might need to give it a few more rides to get my fitness back up a bit after my stupid hiatus! Love the pictures from some of your gravel rides so would be interested to see where else there is to ride over that side. X
Another great Vlog have watched a few now and there is a distinct lack of “cafe stops” hope you manage to get out with Rob and take him up on his offer of a cafe stop. I don’t video our cafe stops I leave that to insta and FBookers.
I think it’s a cultural thing of group rides that I was never aware of as I’ve always cycled alone. Probably haven’t been knocking out the distances to deserve one either😂
Keep on truckin' Deb 🤙
Getting out riding gives a good feeling. Nice ride! 👍

@@Quizmate1 Definitely not the best design!
Very close to me
Should meet up sometime. I get tired of being a lone wolf at times. Even if you pick me up for a few social miles before leaving me in the dust😆
@Deb Lord Outdoors more than happy to do some easy social miles with you with a cafe stop at Velo Verde if you fancy it
@@robpetrie Sounds good. Passed there a number of times but never gone in.
@Deb Lord Outdoors cool let me know when you want to ride. Msg me on insta probably easier lol x
