This album got me through my majorly depressive teenage years and still into the future as an almost 30 year old. I got the circle moon situation tattooed on me at 18. First tattoo & was able to contact his management to find I was the first! I always love seeing the love he gets.
I remember when and where I first heard this album. It instantly grabbed me and never let go which is rare with an artist with similar/younger current age of me. This guy is so talented he could put out a seemingly halfa$$ed album and it still be good- much like his most recent albums where I can’t seem to get into them 100% but it’s still King Krule so I appreciate it. His newer albums are very experimental but his first will probably always be my favorite unless he goes back to that guitar first approach and not all the droney vibes
This album made me fall in love with krule. Feels like you can’t listen to anything else after you start to get him and his writing, his vibes, everything. Thanks for the reaction Brad ❤️
Out getting ribs, easy easy, has this hit, baby blue, and lizard state are all sooo much better live, mainly because the studio versions of a couple of those songs don't have drums/George Bass's live drumming is just far superior to any of the studio stuff. (except lizard state-the drumming is great in the studio version but I think the backing vocals, guitar, and sax are better when played live)
Yeah no I can totally understand your issues in "has this hit". As a song it might not be the best but thematically the first three songs to me at least is Archy going on a downward spiral, has this hit being the song he kind of loses hope and gives in to hopelessness and then tries to express the inner turmoil through discord in his songs, and honestly for being 19 years old I find it really commendable that he took this approach to expressing his feelings. Like they might not have replay value on their own but as an album I don't skip them because it really is a very cohesive project. One of my favorite albums of all time this album HIT when it came out and I was in high school dealing with a broken heart lol. Also Baby blue is a masterpiece, I've heard him play it live twice and each time he's had a couple playing brass and that song with a sax.... Brought literal tears to my eyes, and it doesn't sound possible but his voice is even better live it's a religious experience.
This is one of my favourite records ever. To me is near perfect
I feel you on that
Honestly all of Archys albums are near-perfect to me

I think I was already asleep by the time this one came around, so thanks for posting this one c:
Oh hell yeah I'd been considering requesting some King Krule for a while but now I don't have to spend that money (this album request was almost $500)
someone paid 500 dollars for him to react to this?
@@marcelosampaioduarte9699It’s a priceless album
The krockadile not being rated highly is criminal
