The desert is a natural extension of the inner silence of the body. It is a calm, but at the same time raw and unforgiving place. Rub'Al Khali means translated the Empty Quarter - and it is one of the least inhabited places on earth. An adventurous motorcycle ride in the south of Oman, far off from civilization to the harshest and most beautiful part of the Arabian Desert.

Hi Lea. Greetings from Oz. Carrying spare petrol is always a problem, especially on corrugated outback tracks. Everything shakes off !
A soft fuel bladder works well and is easily stored when empty. Magic adventure into the desert. Thanks for taking us along.
I get that they're into biking but this isn't actually a problem, just drive a car. There is a reason you don't see locals ride motorbikes in the heat with the dust flying everywhere and the condition of the roads.
Nothing against their trip and I think their videos are very well made, but just saying. Cars are more suited for the desert than bikes.

@@Got2Go the sign really is substantial, sadly many people in the past,including whole families have perished in the empty quarter due to carelessness or lack of knowledge, it's enough to wander a few meters from the paved road, get stuck in the sand, then death of dehydration and/or sunstroke steps in within hours .. all is nice, romatic and magical just watching on a mobile phone/tablet screen, but being out there in the flesh enduring +60c temps during the day, and sub-zero temps at night is a totally different experience and surely not for the foolish nor ignorant to venture in unprepared

There is an old Bedouin saying. ‘If a scorpion shows himself under a desert moon, he comes in peace and will not harm the weary traveller. However, his friends will, so eat him before he alerts his scorpion buddies.’ 🤭 Okay, maybe I made that up. But it makes sense.
The desert. So desolate, so unforgiving, but also disarmingly beautiful and alive. Always looking for its next prey. Good thing you ate that scorpion. 😉

Beautiful and the hospitality is something many need to practice. Elena is good friend. Wow! all the distance on that old Harley. I never dreamed she would do so well. She is much determined and has survived some harsh realities of life. Yes, a brave and tough one she is. Great drone work. You don't want to try out the military there. Safe travels in my country.
I don’t think that the Harley is too old though. She has it since she started travling but it is a sportster, so a recent model. 🤗
