a huge thanks for doing this run , its always highly appreciated when i can see others enjoying my work or showcasing it.
that said, unfortunately i do have an issue with the video.
however i do have an issue with the video. @:0:52 , you can see it show " Mega Man X2 Hart Type" then below , "by Hart-Hunt".
im sorry but this is extremely misleading. this game is of my own creation. i worked quite a very long time to make this mod and create the level design that resulted from it.
this game has been a story many many many nights of work, trials and errors and passion from me toward this game/community. sure this game is not as expanded upon as Mega Man X1 Alpha, ( due to many limitations , but thats a story of its own) but the end result was still a project that i wanted release a project that i could be proud of completing after having to redo this game multiple times over because of said limitations. my appologies if i come off frustrated a bit by the matter. ( to be fair i was went i saw the intro screen, but i got the time to get much more composed lol ) .
in regard to the "hard type" vs "alpha" games here is the simple break down.
Mega Man X Hard Type , is a project made by Hart-Hunt
Mega Man X Alpha and Mega Man X2 Alpha are both projects made by me. (MySelf)
i do really appreciate all the visuals and the weapon switch menu that was added during the game play, it made quite a nice touch ! the gameplay becomes so much smoother thanks to it !
however i would simply really appreciate if all proper credits would be provided and the distinction made between the two games. ( Alpha games are not alphas of the Hard type games, two completely different creators and styles of work. ). also, if you were the one to have added all those visuals to the base game and managed to combine all files into one , i would have no problem crediting you on this work of yours for sure ! in fact it has been a thing i really wanted to see out of this game for a long time . so sharing the credit on this would definitely be a thing if this was the case.
that said now, i would like to say that your game play was seriously impressive :D
when i read no damage , the first thing i thought were " wheel gator , specially the bird room and then violents( rematch) . i was quite curious on how you would end up managing this whole thing ! when i prepared the mod , one of my first rule is that everything must be doable no damage with no upgrade needed. and you absolutely nailed that 1000% !
also a thing i wanted to say , the X-hunter mini intro before the stage were a really nice touch !

i don't know if that was intentional reference or like an easter egg or something but i found it pretty awesome to be honest !
44:48 , i think you may have some files mixed up there. the level with serge was correct ( V1.1 ) however you seen to have the V1.0 for the boss rush section, in which a few arenas got tweaked a bit and the spike floors fixed and in some cases , removed to have a cleaner room.

Hi man, I really Sorry for the immense mistake, both games, hard type and x2 alpha were shared in the same file.
So the false impression that the 2 games were modded by the same author came from there, specially cause didn't know that x1 alpha exist. So of course I'll put the proper credit.
Now there's a Pin up comment that links to your channel and the error in the title is clarified in the description.
about footage, on 39:33 we had the same idea 😆 fortunately it will left as a reference when people watch your video, I'll chek the version 1.1 to see the improvements.
Also I have a question, Is possible change the stage main structure? for example, is possible convert wire sponge in a completely vertical stage like boomerang kuwanger in mmx1? or the stage can't change it's original main route structure?

a huge thank you for your understanding . my apologizes again if i sounded irritated or frustrated at first !
for the version you have received in the pack , the person who have sent you that may had messed up the patching if done over previous files.
however the good thing is , if you download the newer version, everything is there and ready so you wont have to do any work :) . it also lists what was changed as well.
as for changing the main structures, as far as i know , it wouldn't be possible. think if each levels having a specific map size, then each section would be the equivalent of a screen size. in each of those screens there are things like assets ( enemies , items and such ) event loaders , pallette loaders and scripts. making a level vertical when mostly horizontal would mean to delete/remove many of those screens and add new ones for the vertical ones. on top of that we would need to mess with the events and all because many are triggered when the player walks in it. ( think of a giant vertical line that you dont see , when each time you touch it , it triggers something. like camera following you or changing , rain happening , spawning enemies or assets and such ) .
it wouldn't be a hard no, but i for sure do not have the knowledge needed in order to pull something off like that. Hart-Hunt would definitely have more knowledge on this than i would and if someone would be able to figure this out it would be either him, TokyoScarab or OrangeOnion .

You and I both I finished megaman x 1, 2 but I never finished the 3 there was a boss who was very difficult for me, but it still brings me good memories
@@xavierxknight3337 X3 was… weird for me, but definitely cool if you want to complete the whole series. The soundtrack of X2 was more solid for sure. All in all, yeah, my best memory is X2, and then I went backwards and did X, X4-6, X3, then X7-8
Nothing less inspired than spike boss rooms. These mods are such a weird grab-bag of really good redesigns...and then brain farts.

@@lacreatura4737 That was intended to be for younger audiences, not for the hardcore gamers. And Wily didn't spend that much zenny on the levels anyway. Lastly, the boss arenas are mostly flat rooms, so not exactly the game you want to use for inspiration for boss arenas without making bosses designed for said rooms.
@@lacreatura4737 I said "mostly" flat rooms. And the arena is not the source of difficulty for that boss regardless. It's the attacks that do you in there. In addition, you're using a boss room with spikes in it as your example, despite hating such?

Funny how just a little tweak on a boss room can make a fight much more challenging, especially bubble crab.
Overdrive Orstrich on the other hand became much easier due to the platforms. At least I thought it was easier than stock.

Hart-hunt worked on the "hard type" mod.
me i worked on the "Alpha" mods.
our styles are highly different as well.
the intro screen showing hart-hunt's name is highly misleading. as this isn't "hard-type x2" . this is "X2 Alpha" . my work i worked on for a very long time before releasing it last year.

Somehow the game intro's showing as "mega man x2 hard type" and made by "Hart-Hunt" .
everything else in term of level design is absolutely Mega man X2 Alpha, that i can assure you. ( at the exception of the extra glowing visuals ) .
however the creator of Mega man X2 Alpha is *not* Hart-Hunt , its me.
my channel has all my game play videos showcasing the stage layouts dating from the very beginning of this project before it was done.
all respect to the person running this challenge, however , i am not agreeing with the fact of showing someone else's work but slapping a different name on it.
