Absolutely loved watching this again. I know MMZ4 is somewhat of a black sheep to the fanbase, but to me it's one of the most accurate representations of Zero's character. Just like in your gameplay, he's a hardened berserker with none of the tunnelvision or overexertion due to hundreds of years of tearing through robots. If there's anything in the franchise that deserves to be recognized more, it's how his beautiful tear-down of his enemies beautifully contrasts with X's own fighting style seen in speed-runs of carefully exploiting weaknesses, accurate buster shots, and planned mobility. It's kind of beautiful that Dr. Light and Dr. Wily's ultimate creations achieve the perfect teamwork the two would never have.
I’ll never understand how people think this game is worse than Z2, or think the game is worse than the others aside from Z3 at all. While a fun game, Z2 has the least combo potential in the series and has some level design issues, on top of the clunky forms. While it’s my least favorite of the bunch, I think it’s objectively better than Z1 even if the combo potential there is bonkers. Z4 on the other hand is often hella fun to speed through, and offers new mechanics that not only add tons of variety but are also more beginner-friendly than the equivalents from the previous games. I also disagree with the idea of the story being forced, this was the one time Capcom’s greed benefit the MM series. Z3 would’ve been a shitty ending, and Z4’s story is really close to Z3’s quality of story, but just barely misses, which more or less describes the whole game in my opinion. My only real complaint is that the Z knuckle sucks compared to the recoil rod. Regardless, the game doesn’t deserve the hate it gets at all.
@@amso7169 Z4 is too easy with uninspired levels, it has my second favorite narrative and favorite sound track of the 4 but its the one i find myself coming back to the least.

Parts and Elf systems aside, the gameplay is way more fun in Zero 4 for me, the graphics and music are also better, and I'll take the Zero Knuckle over the Recoil Rod any day. I also feel that Zero 3 is great until the last set of stages. All four of them suck. Meanwhile, there isn't a single stage in Zero 4 I hate besides Ragnarok 1.

Do you mean the downwards stab? Because in ZXA, Model ZX has that move if you play as Grey. However, the move was completely ruined as it only does *2* damage!

Till this day, i still like playin mmz4, the game is fun overall and i really love the replayability of it, make me wanna hang around the maps just to get the parts(and yes i'm a metroidvania and rouge-like/lite enjoyer) sad that the new mechanics kinda not perform everything we expect it to be, but still not a fail one, so overall whenever i touch mmz/zx legacy collection, z4 always my first ever choice to go, hence the game help me learn a lot, the story is like a perfect final meal of a day so i don't have much to say about it
Thought I would ask up front since you know so much about the game but do you know how to charge a sub weapon without making your primary weapon do the charged attack? For example if I wanted to do a slash into charged triple rod combo, how would I do so? I’m on the Zero+ZX Collection if that helps
While I enjoy zero 4 quite a lot but mostly for the story. The ending is seriously one of the best video game endings out there. It's very bittersweet, which is very much in line with the darker tone. Spoiler alert!!!!!! Zero dies, but he also takes down one of the best villains in video game history and saves area zero from total annihilation, giving the world a chance to improve. The ending is also one of Ciels stronger moments. She is saddened by zero's death, but still picks herself back up and promises to make the world a better place and not let Zero's sacrifice be in vain. It's really inspiring for anyone going through hard times (it was for me anyway). The gameplay though is decent at best. The missions are way too long with nothing much interesting going on and the bosses rely way too much on annoying gimmicks over actually testing the players combat skills, something that zero 2 and 3, or even 1 for that matter do really well.
I have few questions: 1. On what platform are you playing? 2. If PC emulator, what emulator? (or just Z/ZX) 3. Keyboard or Pad? I'd greatly appreciate if you could share your control mapping
I'm quite confident he uses gamepad, specially considering he grew up with these games in their original release (GBA). Not sure, but I think he uses PC, perphaps a GBA emulator (the DS and Legacy Collection have higher audio quality).
It depends on the gane In Zero 1 it gives you all of the cyber elves with no penalty, as well as special commands for instant charge attacks In Zero 2, ultimate form gives special commands for charge attacks In Zero 3 it’s basically like the Z1 ultimate mode In Zero 4 it gives elf perk stacking and automatically gives you an elf level of 21, letting you use max perks on every part of the elf with no penalty
Well I got s rank on 3 levels easily but at third part witch was flower boss I got s rank legend for first time and then I got scammed and not getting sky chaser why
Magnus Zero I have a challenge for you. Beat Omega Zero in Megaman ZX using only the uncharged buster shots from Model ZX. You can use 4 Energy Tanks, and E Tank, and any amount of Food. No switching models, no charged shots, no overdrives, etc. Just lemons. I've only managed it twice. You need RNJesus on your side and you need to know when to stun and when not to stun and what parts of the screen to avoid letting Omega be unstunned in to minimize risk of Rekkoha healing.
I don't think that the problem is the emulator rather than your controller, whether it be input lag or just using a different control style like touch controls.

Change your attack type to B. It lets you charge and handle each weapon with it’s own button
