I like how every Maverick boss in X2 is at least knocked around or stunned by their weakness in addition to losing more life. In X1 most of them had this but there were exceptions, and I don't remember any of it in X3.
Ahh I just watched the next vid and it seems I remembered wrong. In X3 they do all either get knocked back or stunned, but they don't have any interesting animations to accompany.
@@Hatchyack x3 is the only game in the x series where hitting a maverick with their weaknesses doesn't have an animation, they're just stunted for single second

Does anyone know the logic behind boss weaknesses? All I've known was that: - Wire Sponge is weak to Sonic Slicer as it slices vines; - Bubble Crab is weak to Spin Wheel as it pops bubbles; - Flame Stag is weak to Bubble Splash as it puts out fire; - Morph Moth is weak to Burner as it incinerates metal; and - Crystal Snail is weak to Magnet Mine as it shatters Crystals. But, what of Overdrive Ostrich, Wheel Gator and Magna Centipede?
I’d say Silk Shot overrides Magna Centipede’s magnetic powers with all that junk metal. Overdrive Ostrich is always moving so fast and Crystal Hunter slows him down significantly. So much that he takes damage. I have no answer for Strike Chain being Wheel Gator’s weakness 😅
@@shastealyomeal When I made that comment, I was actually thinking of Violen. On Serges, I'll use the Wheel Blade once his shield is down. Especially when trying to destroy the mines. Against him, I'll usually hit him with a charged shot or sonic slicers. I'd have to try that next time. Use bubble on him.

The irony is it takes waaaaaaayyyy longer to beat these bosses than if you just used the double X buster

@@JStantonX when people handle the alligators, they tie their mouths shut. Therefore, the alligators can't bite because they can't open their jaws.

Against Wheel Gator, you’re just better off using the X-Buster. The Strike Chain makes that fight much longer than necessary
Violen’s fighting technique so petty! 😂 he literally just has a spiked ball on a chain swinging all over the place
Serges 2nd time weakness first phaaes is also the helmet explosion attack it only takes one use to defeat that first phase
