Placido selling that the submission is gone with his headshakes everytime is amazing
"shoudn't have smoke so much weed before class"
Literally thought about making the same comment before I saw yours. He does always sell it with nods and head shakes
At least Danaher was nice to him. Lol
it's insane how john danaher turns positions into concepts and teaches the concepts. Concepts are way easier to remember.

i always love how clean danahers transitions are, one of my professors trained under him and he shows this kind of stuff, its so clean
You’re super lucky brother, it’s hard to find a good teacher
@@stevena8719 no doubt im super lucky with him and i got a multiple time kasai champion as the main one who is going to worlds this year its badass plus gregor gellipse trains were i go so its just beast mode there all the time
Bernardo please ask John to film a Sweeps Encyclopedia that shows and explains Every Sweep : Pendulum, Waiter, Flower, Coin, Scissor, Shaolin, Butterfly etc.
watch open guard and closed guard series, so many sweeps
@@ChestofGold Definitely, totally forget about that one!
You only need butterfly
This is even better than New Zealand Jiu-Jitsu...this Peurto Rican Jiu-Jitsu is awesome!!
Austin Jiu Jitsu🔜
Lol!
As a brand new white belt I'm now fantasising about using this principle during lessons and submitting a higher belt
Cant wait for John to get do Wrestling instructionals
I’m hoping one of his new wave series deals with takedowns!
He’s got feet to floor
@@abdurrahmankhan2775 i meant for no gi
Watching this, it almost seems as though most bjj practitioners are playing checkers while this guy is playing chess.
2:43 hold the phone, what?! That was slick.
I watched that at least 6 times
JJ will become truly an art when rival competitors are elevating it in both being able to perform this!
This is a huge honor for me
ive never ever rolled. but a good 10% of my youtube content is BJJ instructionals
Danahar is a fucking true King of Jitcu.
Very Fluid and Pure Art! That inside transition move I just more fully realized!
Conteúdo sensacional, Bernardo!
Gold as usual!
Awesome!
🤯 thank you for a new perspective 🙏
Thank you 🙏
Amazing!!!!!!
In this series does he go into great detail on defense and escapes of the submissions themelves or more how to attack after escaping?
very nice champ
Very Enlightening as to Danaher theory! It really is like the lead foot back counter punch that russian fighters favor!
I hope Placido is getting some royalties on this one :D. #worlds-number-one-uke
Think of how much better he has gotten just being the uke. I’d gladly pay my way to Boston just to have that opportunity
The goat
whole new mindset
John Danaher can show you new ways to sweep with a broom that you never knew existed.
I love Placido.
learned it from silverfox.
He too good. 😭😭😭
Michael Zenga’s breathing stays polluting the audio.
Go watch on UA-cam "Understanding JiuJitsu by John Danaher", you can hear him even louder hahaha
What is the Japanese print on John danahars rash outfit?
Thank you so much for this Professor Faria. Is this content in New Wave Jiu Jitsu: A New Philosophy Of Submissions Escapes
That you currently have on bjjfanatics or is there a new instructional coming out?
This is in the New Wave video.
Placido has very flexible knees...
John Danaher: "And here we see the rear naked strangle, the nomenclature clearly indicating that this attack is coming from the rear, and not the front, of the opponent."
Bernardo: "That's amazing, John"
I think Gordon and John got together and look a long hard look at Gordon's two losses to Felipe Pena and realized they could use it as a concept for an instructional series
The day I get rich, I fly John Danaher to my flat and lives here for 1 year.
Whats the difference between Exit the system and New wave:submission escape?
I used to think the same thing but I have most of Danahers and Tonons and it seems to me they make an effort to not do the same exact things. They’re both incredible and 100% worth owning.
@@PaulJohn283 yeah you are right, but i can only afford one rn, wich woul you suggest?
@@yacine_mkhlf danahers
@@yacine_mkhlf buy danaher's it's always more detailed, Garry's instructional are good but danaher's are always better in my opinion
RNC?
I swear to god MIC ON JOHN WTF!!!!
What would be the counter-attack to an rnc?
A heelhook.
My thoughts exactly.😂
Great video, but Bjj fanatics have to upgrade their filming technique and gears
I wonder if this is good mma logic? Like don't you need the mindset to get back on top in general
Im not a savant at jujitsu but i didnt know that this was a new idea.
cost extra energy:-)
Audio lol
NO LE ESCUCHO JODER
wtf is wrong w his feet tho
Slight deformity and also he's had a hip replacement.
Teach catch wrestling and call it jujitsu lol
it's almost as if they have overlapping rulesets so they're going to share techniques. insightful comment my friend
Catch wrestling is a form of submission wrestling, just like Jiu-Jitsu. So yes the two arts share techniques.
At this point everything has really just morphed into "Submission Grappling" in general with elements from Catch, Amateur Wrestling, Japanese Jiu Jitsu, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Sambo, Lutte Libre, Gracie Jiu Jitsu etc. all mixed together.
The terms "Nogi Jiu Jitsu" and "Submission Grappling" can pretty much be used interchangeably at this point to describe the same thing.
@@jg7923 legit question, but what is the difference between Gracie jiu-jitsu and Brazilian jiu-jitsu?
@@mraBJJ33
I would say that Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is an actual systematic way of fighting another person in a real fight that includes Strikes (Front Kick before the clinch / Heel Strike from the guard etc) Like what Royce and Rickson used in their fights. Brazilian jiu jitsu seems more like pure grappling and sport orientated in my opinion.
This is just cheap grappling in my opinion. This is not beautiful martial arts.
