T James not strictly speaking, it’s mainly genetic and a sensitivity to DHT. Otherwise why don’t all bodybuilders get Male pattern baldness only some if they’re all using similar dosages ? Just like growing a beard it’s genetic and can be sped or up slowed down by presence of androgens
Roger Gracie the GOAT using flawless fundamentals
This match is historic.
It was a powerful match and the technique by both was beautiful. Congratulations to Roger, but Buchecha is also a great fighter.
@Mark Asread how did he dominate buchecha if the score is 1-1? Roger loss to buchecha the previous match
@@89turbomk3 Because he won by submission...
@@Dawood4 read your own comment. He won by submission
anybody else cringe when all those shoes got on the mats at the end? lol
Kevin Andrews haha exactly my thought. Most of them are probably grapplers too. C’mon now
Word 😂
no respect for the mat at all
I did. I knew all the uptight people would have to comment :P
I found that particularly ashaming, Roger displayed great respect though.
From time to time I come back to see this pearl. What a time to be alive. It was incredible.
Ive been watching for 20 years. That was simply a different level of jiujitsu.
Maan you can tell Roger knows his grip fighting, always controlling the right shoulder via a normal or cross grip
and his grip is strong af. There's another video where guy has a grip on Rogers lapel iirc. Roger goes to strip it and rips the dudes gi sleeve in half down the seam like it was nothing.
Goes over and hugs it out.. Raises his opponents hand.. Pure class.
Two men that are simply the best at this sport, but more importantly the best at showing class, character and humility to others making them beautiful roll models. So different from football and basketball stars that do nothing but foul mouthed vulgar trash talking. Wonderful to see these two.
Buchecha looks like a lightweight, dude Roger is a monster
Pos data: thank you for the likes guys, stay safe, we will return to the mats very soon.
Here I was thinking the opposite
Buchecha is actually heavier
Lezlie Alabaster that’s why ur momma dead
Osssss
I’ve watched this match probably 10 times but this is the first time I noticed Renzo immediately going over to Buchecha showing his respect
As a guy who is not a martial artist but a poet and philosopher I am impressed by Rogers poise and calmness. I will remember this and try to incorporate such poise into my own life. Also something must be said about the courage and determination to not quit by the champion who held on as long as he could fighting the urge to tap. Amazing chess match.
Me: if he's going for a two-hand fingertip grip on his shirt cuff, that must be VERY important. . . yep. held on to it all the way to taking his back. Damn jiu jitsu is crazy how it works.
A year ago and still come back watch this like its live. This has an ObI-wan vs anakin feel to it as far as skill level goes with out the backstory.
Probably my favorite BJJ moment of all time!
In sport BJJ, Roger is the GOAT, simply the GOAT.
He made it look so easy...But in reality it is so difficult.
Fantástico jiu-jitsu básico do monstro Roger Gracie.
Such gentlemen. A chess match. Says a lot for never forgetting that Japanese Jiu Jitsu and Judo are an important part of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
It took nearly 8 full minutes before it went to the ground in a 10 minute match. Kudos to Roger, his choke was basic but effective. However for an art that specialises in ground work, both these legends had no clear way to get there. This is why i stopped bjj after 7 years and started doing judo.
2 phenomenal legends of the sport!!
Familia Gracie melhor do mundo
Saudades de Ryan Gracie.parabens familia
Eca!
Simplicity, executed perfectly.
Using the basic of the basic at a highest level. This is pure art.

This is amazing to watch. Any other matches you guys recommend?

Sensacional o Roger!

That is the dream. Progressing mastery of the foundational moves to such a point that you can disable a true warrior with calm and precision. That economy of motion, to me, is one of the most beautiful things in martial arts. Like a musician that never wastes distance from the frets or the keys.
I think this was one of the biggest disrespects I've ever seen in my life, everyone invaded the mat, and it was as if Buchecha wasn't there, just horrible, maximum respect Buchecha, my biggest idol, oss.
Esse é o nosso grande Roger.
Vindo dos Graces o desrespeito é inevitável !
I love the respect people show each other in this sport
Basic techniques are still the most effective when executed with high level of precision.
The Best is the RESPECT !!!
Jiu-jitsu clássico ... Eficiente
Ek clasico vendria siendo Judo
O ROGER É FOOOOODA! LUTA MUITO CARA..SOU FÃ DESSE MESTRE.
That was an incredible fight. Two great athletes, two great fighters.
Roger is just a different animal. Clean technique, no fad Hollywood flippy flyee twisty gobbeldy gook. Just good, solid jiu jistu. One thing I saw was Hikikomi Gaeshi (one of my go to's against guys who attack with wrestling, even in no gi) was there all day for him, I don't think Buchecha would have been able to stop it with Roger's sweep and guard game being what it is.
