As a white belt, this is the video I needed, not a fan of close guard, but done well it is such a powerful tool in the toolbox. So I will continue to work at it and get better.

I love the systemic approach. No more hail mary armbars and triangles from bottom closed guard. Its too hard no gi.
Break posture, advance position (clamp, top lock, side scizzor, double unders, etc), then sweep or submit.

I’m by far still a white belt but just got back into a bjj gym after 10 years away. My old training trained me to be more comfortable in closed guard. At that time I was about 150lb but I am 5’11” with long legs. Almost everyone I trained with outweighed me 75-150lbs. That said I’d be on bottom a lot and having that big of a size disadvantage I didn’t want them passing guard. Luckily I did have a couple teammates closer to my size but this built a very tight guard for me.
