    • @danila4322
      @danila4322 3 роки тому +2

      Don't need him to show you anything, anyone on the street gets close to you stick your fingers as far as you can into their eyes and at this point just run or finish them cuz they can't even see. If you get their back don't bother with chokes just punch them in the back of the head.

    3 Eziekel - "you don't need to have the classical two hooks in" sounds like Mr. Danaher mentions of Royce's finish on Shamrock. One of the main reasons Royce, Takimoto, and Yoshida wore Gi when they debuted in MMA was to enable them to apply this submission, I suppose. 26:12 Danaher starts to answer some of the most fundamental and important questions regarding grappling that are must-know for anyone before learning anything on the mat in most concise ways. I wish I had someone like him to guide me thru the sport in the beginning, but I also know from history of judo that elitist competitors are the ones with 2 digit IQ who train without thoughts and still kick everyone's ass.

    choke = internal block of the airway
    strangle = external block of the airway/blood flow
    3 high percentage gi stangleholds
    1) Sliding lapel strangle (okuri eri jime)
    2) Cross collar strangle (juji jime)
    3) Ezekial strangle (sode guruma jime)
    For self defence, strangle vs joint locks
    - With joint locks, it's break or nothing
    - With strangleholds, there are levels of severity: control --> quickly unconscious --> completely incapacitated --> death

      From the mount a good way to employ the Ezekiel is to employ head control - with your hand behind his head, cradling it - from here you can bring your opposite forearm across the opponents neck and grip the cradling hand's bicep. This choke variation works as you try use the cradling hand to grip the opposite elbow, flexing your forearm against your opponents windpipe.This also works in No Gi, and is one of my favourite chokes.
      You can however just use the exact same grip John uses to employ a strangle. Just reach across to your opposite sleeve, and bring the hand behind your opponent's head. Then reach around to grab the opposite arm. Best part about both Ezekiels is that if you opponent pushes away it helps increase your pressure.
      Hope that helps!

    Amazing as Always. But there is a small observation regarding street fights and law. In several countries in Europe, as well Portugal, you can be charged for trying to kill someone due to a stranglehold, but if you just break an arm or something in a joint lock... it's less problematic regarding charges, you can give a lot of excuses and argue in court.
    This was a specific point debated in the mandatory professional course to be a legal Jiu-Jitsu teacher in Portugal. If thought it could be useful to leave this point of view here.
