*UPDATE:* This is to help you buy some time so you can get a new one. Off market/knocked off is about $6.00-$8.00, but you have to wait for it. During that time, give this a try so you can get back on the road again until your new part arrives. *How to Test + How it works !!!* See This Video here, this guy explain it better than I do: ua-cam.com/video/xIB3H-HqhkE/v-deo.html
@@JodBronson You should really do some more ASMR instructional videos using your low talking voice, you will get a lot of views. Your voice is very hypnotic and relaxing.
good job Jordan. Thanks a lot. An sign of maltfunction of the tps is also a hard shifting. (The powertrain need that signal also) The carbontrace is never the problem . it`s allways dirt an(or) the force of the spring. You can check your work by probing with an Ohm-meter between 2 pins. The value increses or decreses by the axle. If you heve no jumping values, everything is good. Kindly regards from Germany
If you have to buy a new one, do you use the OE or will a cheaper aftermarket be just as good? I may have to replace mine and dont like throwing money on my old car, ya know?
@@JodBronson In my experience with repairing old videogame consoles I’ve had LOADS of problems with bad potentiometers… and that’s all this is. Everything from Arkanoid Vaus controllers to Atari 5200 with the Made in USA “CTS” brand pots that somehow LOSE resistance over years. I have a factory-fresh case of four new-old stock unused Atari CX-52 controllers and they are ALL bad. Scotty Kilmer says to get OEM only for these so that’s what I’ll do.
This Video is about cleaning and "enhancing" your parts. I also mentioned to check "inside" if it's worn or not. If worn, then you will need a new one. Also, it will help you get by until you get a new one.

Thank you. Clear, simple, no show or nerve wracking "musick" or such. Just you simply explaining... very good.
You are welcome!

Thank you. Going to try this right now. If I accidentally break it then I needed a new sensor anyway. Might as well try it.
Thanks again.
You are welcome! NOTE: They do have the knock-off stuff cheap on eBay if you can't fix it.

I bought one " aftermarket " since the video, it's still working today. These are really simple design, no need to get anything special.

Is alcohol best to use?
YES, because it clean the contact of the Copper Feet. Although I find Acetone works even better, the long terms is not, if you do not do it correctly.
You can purchase a new one for. $ 25. You cannot repair the the variable resistor inside the part
