This hydraulic system failed completely so I got no hydraulic aid to hold the spoiler up & i tried using the special tool but for some reason I could not move it at all with the tool & to top it off - so much locktite used from factory on the bolt. I used the L shape T20 tool shown on the video & finally got it off. Recommend using that if you are stuck like me on this job.
Hey I got the same issue on 996 turbo s. We have the same issue or my das has and I want to fix it for him. The system has been completely dead for years before we even bought it. I can pry it up but am worried about the pistons snapping down after. Anything I can do? Or do I just have to let them snap down

Leave wing on, pull wing up and wrap towels to put under it. Then you can use the tool.
