it's a terrifying track to run at the limit. It's so narrow, you have zero run off space on 90% of the turns, and the elevation changes so much that it throws the car off easily. You are all wrong had a 4.9 v8
When u wanna crush the track before groceries, you get one of these. Great sound.
Lotta people who don't know Mt Panorama may not appreciate how tight it is, how many blind corners there are cutting away after rises, the worst being Skyline. This track is probably less forgiving than Monaco.
it's a terrifying track to run at the limit. It's so narrow, you have zero run off space on 90% of the turns, and the elevation changes so much that it throws the car off easily. I've only ran it in vr on my sim rig but god damn is it a terrifying experience even in vr. More so than the nurburgring.
Top of the mountain is particularly demanding. You have to be precise there like a surgeon.
You are so right. I've driven around it many times (once between races, so no speed limits) and been driven around by a Porsche Cup driver mate of mine. Those walls come up damned quickly. This guy is certainly giving it the berries (and he has a big set of them too!).
Those VT’s won wheels magazine Australian car of the year 1997
That was fully sent.
the VT/VX shape is aging so nicely
Very true mate , ive got a schmick VX SS ls1 turbo and yes they are a great looking car still to this day and are relatively light compared to the Later model VE/VF
@@jjjjjj9284 the VE's imo are the worst looking, I'm not saying they look bad but they are the one that has to be the one least desired personally
It’s a VX 🤠
Nice clean lines he was hitting, I was impressed! HRT should give this bloke a crack!💯
Mega performance, love the sound...big big shame they have stopped production now ( I think) but there going to be around a while yet !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's a VX though.
no it's not bud
It's a VX- just by looking at the front bumper and headlights is where anyone can tell the difference, also the back bumper on the VT's don't have the reflecters and completely different tail lights from a VT
It's a VX but yeah that's killer, LS at full noise, those down shifts are pure joy to hear.
Actually a VX commodore not a VT
thats a sick send....what a mad carnt aye
Thats a VX.. not a VT 😅
That looks pretty cool, not sure what mods are done to that car, it looks fairly standard and sound only slightly modified in the engine department. The thing I do not like about the cars that have been racing at Bathurst over the last 30 odd years is that one cannot buy the car that won on the race day and drive it on the street, not to race, just to know that it is good quality, Holden or Ford. Also, that is a VX, unless they have changed the front and rear bumpers and head and tail lights. a good video, none the less. Good gear changes, up and down, an awesome sound. I have a silver VX SS, so this video is very close to home. 😀👍
Sounds like a I'll fu#kin show you run after a bit of loose talk in pits before hand 💪
*loose
Australia has one of the best car scenes of the world.
Yep... This IS how it should be. An honest looking street race car without the sponsorship bullshit and political nonsense.
This ride was absolutely Bitch'n.. 👍😀.
