The screaming at 2:27 was actually due to Christopher noticing a spider on his dashboard. It’s lucky he didn’t spot it sooner or it might’ve ruined this epic lap!

Epic lap Chris, you are a fkn legend. I live about 30 minutes from Bathurst. People don't realise just how challenging that track is until they drive it themselves. Well Done to you. I can't believe some people in the comments think this is a game. Funniest shit ever
Onetime long ago driving to Canberra on a fireworks run, took the detour to Bathurst when the road was open to public. Skyline, The Dipper, Forest Elbow, and all of it to be absolutely honest shocked me how extreme it is. So much so, that I parked and walked down (then back up) The Dipper. Craziest shit ever !!
Helluva lap dude ! That annoying kit car thing at the end almost messed it up for you. Any chance we get a roll-bar cam ? Would be nice to see your inputs too.
Absolute monster of a lap mate, squeezed everything out of the car and the track. That little blip of the throttle at 1:02 after you'd settled the car at the cuttings reminds me of the way senna would drive, you did it throughout the lap and again just before the dipper. Every inch of road counts. Absoloute rocket out the esses.
That motor sounds so nicely tuned - at 4K rpm it sounds like it's just limbering up from tickover, and right on the redline it sounds as if it could rev further quite easily - doesn't sound like it's on the ragged edge of its performance at all! You and the car made that look effortless!
That was a sensational lap of a very tricky circuit - well done indeed! I hope you enjoyed ur time in AU - we love to share our tracks with talented drivers from all over the world. Cheers.
Ideally you want to hit your top speed around 75-80% of the way down the longest straight on the circuit. Bearing in mind up to roughly the last 10% of the straight may be braking zone; the extra 3 or 4 mph gained right at the end of the straight from a longer ratio isn't worth the slight penalty in acceleration to get there, especially around the rest of the circuit.
The car is homologated with fixed gear ratios anyway. The only way to reach 300 kph would be to have larger wheels. I don't know what tyres it was and how good those were, but stick some Super GT-style confidential tyres, those with the larger diameter if possible, and you'll shave off another 3-4 seconds easily if this laptime was made on "customer" tyres (Pirelli DHD2 I would suppose).
@@Jehco14 If you want better top speed you'd want thinner tires because they create less drag/friction with the asphalt. Unrelated, but it is also why road cars have thin tires ; it's cheaper, more agile and more efficient.
Was my favourite track on TOCA2 (PS2). Was and is, the only game I own that has it. It'd be wild to race it irl. 😅But I'd not hit the hand-break off the wall on forest elbow!!
That was fucking beautiful. The balls, the skill, the accuracy. Mwahhh. I don't know a lot about the GT world but coming from a long time F1 fan, this guy looks easily capable of being an F1 champ providing he's done some single seater work. God damn. Beautiful.
This is REAL INCAR VIDEO, of the real Mt Panorama race track and a real fastest lap. All the commenters asking what game and cosole this is, are not understanding this is NOT A SIMULATION. Look at the drive through the car park at 2:57.
I was like where does all this straight line speed come from and then i read the description :D Nevertheless great lap and reaction after seeing the time :D
The gronk at Murrays corner killing the line would have cost a couple of tenths at least. What an awesome lap though, such clean lines and smooth as silk.
I just read "no restrictions" in description of your video. So, that's why, no matter what I did to car's settings and no matter how much I pushed, I was still 9 seconds behind. I've got a favour to ask, could I use your video to put it side by side with my sim replay? This way I could high highlight the differences.
Man, sitting here watching this feeling like I’m heavier on the throttle in so many places, but I’m 4 seconds off this time in ACC. I’m losing time somewhere on that mountain.
Just watched this same run in iRacing with the same car. The real life version you can get a real sense of the tires physics. Something about the real thing that has gives you a much better feel of the car, even just by watching the video.
The speeds carried through the lap are breathtaking - 200+ across skyline, 130+ through the dipper/esses and holding 260 odd up until 100m before the caltex chase
Ol' Max Verstappen got a 2:00 I believe on the sim and drove what I thought a perfect fucking lap mate.... Damn, what a driver there Chris!! Nailed it!!

You couldn't even take the last corner properly due to passing the other car and still you got it. What a monster lap Christopher!
@Varun REDDY The compromised corner affected him way more than the gain from drafting on a short straight
Yeah yeah..........
Blue flag, blue flag
I reckon he did a superb job on that slow car, and as you said - he still smashed it!
Was he on an out lap, or did you just obliterate an open wheel car at Bathurst? 😅

prob got a tad faster because of the draft
