Yep, I am starting to get it as well. Worried that it will get worse. Had my wheel since first available. Noise just started a week ago, not related to heat, it is there a minute after powering on and can come and go but now is there almost all the time... high pitch is driving my family nuts if no other noise in house!
I got this issue but on the left side of the base and it happens when i crank FFB and FOR to 100. Looks like is heat related. Someone told me that this is a last firmware issue and the next driver will fix it i really really hope so because is very dificult for me shipping back to fanatec. I live in Brazil.

+Daniel Santana Não resolvi amigo. Já é a segunda que pego e aparece o mesmo problema. Realmente acontece com o FFB acima de 70 depois de um tempo de jogo. Tenho usado em torno de 60 pra evitar completamente o barulho.
+Gui Carioni Segunda base nova e o mesmo problema? Nunca sentiu diferença no funcionamento quando o barulho começa? A Fanatec fala o que? Foi mal a quantidade de perguntas. Rs É que isso me gerou um tensão aqui.

Me too. I contacted Fanatec last week and they said that it was a firmware issues and that an update will be available soon. My wheel is 2 weeks old.

+Stephen Tarpley Hey dude. I updated to the new firmware 116 and all is fixed. That high pitch noise was driving me insane. Hope yours gets sorted.
Sadly I have it still at this time. Just way more and louder, running the latest drivers.
