DAMN Combustion Corner you got the good gear ! your channel is gonna pop off i just know it !
Thanks @RSIM1 Racing ! I do love the CSW 2.5. I really enjoy making the videos so I hope it makes traction. I see you have the Logitech G920. How do you like that piece of kit?
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Nice video. I've forgot to update Drivehub's firmware and the FFB was weird. Updated to latest beta and now it seems a bit decent.
I came from PC gaming (ACC) and GT7 gives me less road surface and kerb FFB. Is that happening to you aswell?
That’s for sure @Gilberto Filho Sim Racer. Coming from PC in general to consoles have given me a lot less FFB and detail. It is great Drive Hub gives us the opportunity to but the results aren’t close to the same. Thinking of trying out a play station supported wheel base like the CSL DD Pro or DD Podium to see if it is closer. I do enjoy GT7 and beats out the cost of iRacing for example.
@@combustioncorner I was thinking to change my CSW v2.5 to CSL Pro DD too. My parents are going to Portugal in august this year and I think I will buy one and make them bring to me in Brazil. Hope that the FFB is better than CSW v2.5.
My only worry is that it will feel like a lateral move but having the support for all consoles and PC would be terrific.
@@combustioncorner ciao ascolta mi potresti far vedere come colleghi la Hub con la base csw 2.5 alla ps5?
What version is your drivehub? And are you in Fanatec or FanaLogitech mode?
Hey Sam. My drivehub matches the one still currently being sold. I just made sure the firmware was up to date on both base and drivehub. I put the base in PC mode and good to go on PS. It basically makes the PS recognize it as a G29. It worked great.
I love my McClaren wheel, I just wish fanatec offered button caps. I had older caps from another wheel
I agree Chris! Still I think the best bang for your buck when it comes to Fanatec wheels by far.
Got a Drivehub to use with CSW v2 on GT7 PS5. Getting weird vibration on Fanatec mode (F) and almost no feedback on Logitech mode (L), any tips?
Hello Akira W. I put my CSW in PC mode when connected to Drivehub to the PS5. What in game settings are you using in GT7? If you are getting weird vibrations maybe turn down the FEI and FFB a bit.
Csw 2.5 work on ps5?
Only with using a drivehub mate.
Using Mt thrustmaster TS-XW on ps5 and both ACC and GT7 the FFB feels dead compared on my series x. Anyone know why this happens?
Hello Jean. What are your settings on PS5?
@@combustioncorner don't remember. Tried it a week ago and haven't tried again ACC also feels so bad compared to series x. So never bothered to try it again. Instead I use the hub for third party pedals, shifter and handbrake on series X. I have a massive setup so moving consoles around for such a bad expiration is not something I want to be doing besides let's be honest gt7 is so bad it's not even worth the time. I'm happy to be able the use aiolog products and Venym pedals on console.
I would agree with that Jean. Are you playing ACC on PC or PS5? As for GT7 I would just go to settings while on game and bump up the Force feedback Torque I believe it is. Put that sucker up to 10.
Would love step by step bc i have same base as you and this drive hub does not work
Im currently trying to set up my CSW Wheel base with Drivehub for my PS5. Do you have any trouble with this at all? the initial set up
I just have the CSW 2.5 Wheelbase & F1 Esports formula 1 Wheel
Thanks :)
Hey Conor! Make sure you update both the wheelbase and the drivehub to the latest drivers. After that make sure you have one of the recommended ps controllers attached to the drivehub too. I bought the Hori wired controller for it. Make sure the wheel is powered up before you turn on the play station. The play station will prompt you and just hit the accept button on your wheel and should be good to go.
@@combustioncorner Cheers dude!! i really appreciate your help, almost thought i had to buy a different Wheelbase
Great Video! I'll try these inputs for myself. I have a question to ask on here though. Do you or anyone who come across this question happen to know how to calibrate the clubsport v3 pedals with the ps5 for GT7? I have the licensed dd pro wheel for ps5, the wheel base and H shifter works perfect. However, the ps5 and gt7 fail to recognize the v3 pedals at all. Before plugging into the ps5 the wheel has already been calibrated on the windows system and set to the proper mode (blue and Purple for ps4/5?). It all works perfect on pc with ACC, FH5, Iracing, etc. Any help would be deeply appreciated.
Hello Chris R. I had the CSL DD Pro for PS5 for a short time so I do have experience with it. First thing I would do is make sure your v3 pedals are up to date. There is a usb plug on those pedals to plug directly into the pc to update. After that mine worked great when they were plugged into the CSL DD Pro. Let me know if that works out for you.
Thank you for the reply! The v3 pedals are up to the latest firmwire yet I still encounter the same problem. I've read further and people suggested a "drivehub device"?
@@crecio1827 that could work but shouldn’t be necessary. If your pedals are plugged into the wheelbase it should be recognized in GT7. The only other thing I can think of is that you have the usb on the pedals plugged into your pc at the same time? May try only having them plugged into the wheelbase if that is the case.
@@combustioncorner hmm interesting. I think i'm going to have to do some more trial and error. Maybe it could be because I have both the usb and RJ12 cable connected after the ps5 starts up.
@@crecio1827 that is more than likely the problem. I know with that base it worked great when all I had was the RJ12 to the base and the base plugged into the PS5. I think both connections makes it fight with what to connect to.
Do you find it easier or more difficult using the fantec vs using a controller?
For this game it is definitely easier and more immersive using a sim wheel.
I will play on ps5 and PS4
I have a good opportunity to but a clubsport v2.5 (x box made) do you think it's a good Idea with thé drivehub ? or wait and maybe buy a GT dd pro
That depends on how smoking a deal you are getting in my opinion. The 2.5 and drivehub gets you about 90 percent of what you are wanting for PS5 IMO. You are missing out on some button functionality for the wheel and pedal functionality if you have the V3 pedals. My honest opinion if you have the patience and are wanting to play a lot of GT7 is get a GT DD Pro. But if the deal is too good to pass up then you won’t be disappointed.
@@combustioncorner i Can cet thé clubsport base 2.5 with BMW GT2 and fanatec carbone wheel, V3 clubsport pedal, shifter and hanbrake 1.5 for 800€ seems to be a good bundle but can't try thé wheel... There is issue for this base ?
I have never had a problem with mine. That’s not a bad deal at all for all that.
Hi. Any chance you can show me how to get the CSW to work with GT7 on PS5? I dont see it anywhere in the settings in the game? I use the drive Hub. Thanks
Hello Phil. Ensure both the wheelbase and the drive hub are up to date. Beyond that make sure you are using a wired play station controller to the drivehub. The controller I bought was a Hori wired controller. You should be good to go after that.
@@combustioncorner Thank you.... Its a Universal Hub i have, is that the same as a drivehub?
Ahh. No that isn’t the same thing Phil. Drivehub is a product created by collective minds that allows you to use any wheel with consoles. It makes the console think a g920 or g29 is plugged into the console. So it is then compatible with either.
@@combustioncorner Oh ok. Bugger. I shall look this product up. Thanks for responding
Did you ever try 540 on sen?
Csw2.5 + drivehub works perfect on PlayStation 5? Thanks
Hey Andrea. It works fantastic. You lose out on some of the button configuration here and there but nothing major. If you already have a 2.5 and don’t want to upgrade or side-grade to CSL dd pro it is a great option. I have enjoyed using it.
@@combustioncorner
I read that you have to use a wired joypad to operate the drivehub with the PlayStation 5, otherwise the csw 2.5 is not recognized. Is that so?
That is correct. I use the Hori wired controller. Looks like you can get a renewed one for around $25. Wired Mini Gamepad for Kids - Playstation 4 Controller - Officially Licensed (Blue) (Renewed) a.co/d/dGnNZyd The one I have is red. But all this does is plug into the drivehub and it uses the controller to talk to the PS on behalf of your wheelbase. The PS5 controller used to time out after not being touched for about 10 minutes.
@@combustioncorner you dont loose any button mapping if you switch wheel from in GT7 menu game from FANALOGIC to FANATEC mode.
That’s great news!
