I bought an iphone 14 for R15 361 through myus then paid R1 408 for shipment which came to R16 769 then customs killed me with R6 200 so I paid R22 969 for the phone and if I bought the phone here in South Africa I would have just paid R21 499. Did I miss something? How is myus making life easy?

I am just trying to figure out the benefits of buying a phone in the US, (and what about sim card), wouldnt it be easier and less expensive and faster to simply make use of a voip system or the likes of microsoft teams?
