just when i’m thinking “I should build a paint booth, too lazy going outside especially if it’s night to do paint jobs” and boom your notifications pop out what a coincidence 🤣
Definately use filter... It will slow the flow of air as well so you paint is not pulled in different directions when you are painting. Helps avoid fires as you are using an open fan. it wont stop it but will help prevent. dont forget to replace it. It will protect the fan from being destroyed due to paint build up on it. If you mount the fan from the from you can actually put all the realated parts in the bin and store the box away.
Studio G's video really helped me, I'm an aspiring builder but lacks knowledge on how and where to start. luckily this channel provides basic and easily understood contents to help aspiring builders like me
An exhaust fan and a duct hose is one of the missing pieces to build one. This video on the paints and the fumes are very helpful input thank you for you experience about this.
usually i paint with acrylic paint so i never plan to build/buy paint booth but since i started using lacquer based paint i thank you for this tutorial
I built one 2 weeks ago...I wish this video was out then...I used an inline duct fan and found a carbon air filter. I messed up my configuration and have to take it apart and rebuild it with the filter inside the box.
Do you need a filter and why? Also what is the least amount of cfm you would recommend the fan or vent to have. Also I have crying children's. That hit hard
It should be fine. You are basically saving yourself some time later. If you are going to paint your kits I'd say invest on a spray booth. Makes your live easier!
Is the pre-packaged booth from Amazon that you recommend good for using lacquer based paints? I keep reading conflicting information on which fans are okay and which aren't and what is safe and what isn't.
Yes them crying children, chickens, and cows outside are quite annoying lol ;) ... especially when painting lol Great video straight to the point and tip#3 seems important.
Right when I was about to cut into my savings to buy a painting booth Justin comes out with a tutorial Tuesday for one

Just built mine today with your instructions. Hella cheaper than buying a replacement and works better than the amazon one i had lol

Time to build a booth! The exhaust fan is a genius idea!
The only trouble that I have now.....
Laziness 😂😂
This guy is my role model.
TIME TO BUILD ONE THIS WEEKEND. PERIOD.. hahahaha Good vid bro
I started watching vids 2 weeks ago and was looking for the paint booth video 😂
From reminding me of my love for Gundam to tutorials for my own studio (in the future). Thank you!!
All cool and all for the equipment but what i NEED most for a paint booth is a spare ROOM, how do i get that?
Thank you for this. Been thinking about getting into Gunpla and really getting serious about customizing. This will make that possible.
Now i need my own room
I am planning to make one soon. Your tips are duly noted. 😁
How do you safely wire the vent for wall outlets use? Aren’t those tide into mains power with a switch to operate them?
Thanks from malaysia 😊
I use a 20x20 box fan with a pack of 20x20 air filters from home depot. $30 for everything.
Would that still need a hose then?
Hey justin did you use an extension cord for the power cord cause it looks like it
Glad I stumbled onto you. I've been trying to figure out a better fan other the a box fan. 👍
This is going to be helpful
I love the previous hair 😁
Thanks for this.
Ive been thinking about making one but was unsure how so thanks for the guide man!!
Great video Justin!
I was thinking about this just last week! Short and straight to the point. Love it!
Do you need a filter and why? Also what is the least amount of cfm you would recommend the fan or vent to have. Also I have crying children's. That hit hard
Very useful,thanks for sharing

Wouldn't help for me. They're on the inside, too.
@@BuzzBoi315 I feel ya m8..... Atleast they get to see the work
Nice tutorial very helpful 👍🏻
i am hoping you could suggest an airbrush set for beginners on your next tutorial. thnx. stay safe.
Pretty cool, I built one similar and it works great!
Thanks it's a great help, i was always wondering how to make one
This might be a dumb question, but how do you turn on a fan like that without it being wired to a wall switch? Is there a switch on it?
Can you tell me if this is a good idea if in planning to use Spray cans? I'll eventually get an airbrush but can I do this and use Spray cans ?
It should be fine. You are basically saving yourself some time later. If you are going to paint your kits I'd say invest on a spray booth. Makes your live easier!
Janky XVI yes you could, but since spray can area of spray is bigger than airbrush.A bigger paint booth is recommended
Is the pre-packaged booth from Amazon that you recommend good for using lacquer based paints? I keep reading conflicting information on which fans are okay and which aren't and what is safe and what isn't.
Might be a stupid question to ask but, Would you still need a mask to wear?
Do you need a spark proof exhaust fan when you are using solvent base products?
YES. He kinda glossed over it, but YES. Unless you’re doing strictly acrylics. This is still a really good video.
Damn nice tutorial as always, hopefully u make about pla plate for next tutorial tuesday :)
Great video
65k wow 🤩
Tnx hoping to make gundams like that. What best or prefered for customize gundam? Rg? Hg? Or ??
Good video. Thanks

Yes them crying children, chickens, and cows outside are quite annoying lol ;) ... especially when painting lol

Heloo, great tutorial, i was wondering, what kind of filter do i need if will use one?
my room to small, can i build a paint booth in my bed room with small size? i hear some lacquer paint very toxic, is it ok?
Can you use a Gundam marker for coloring tutorial for beginners If they don't have money to buy Tamiya colors and spray colors
hey could you make a tutorial on how to remove seam lines :D
Looks nice man! I think I might make myself one, but I'll put it in my garage, if I can find some room, there has to be room. Right?
Can you show how you have it set up
Awesome 👍
Do you ever get pain on your walls/carpet etc?
Is it possible to just paint it on the box without the fan but with lightings
Finally uploaded @a.simon.s
i cant believe the only thing i already have for this is the exact same ring light
Can i use the back of a fan for the exhaust fan?
I haven't finished watching it but already slapped the like button. For some reason I already know it'll be an awesome vid.
I allready had one but why not 2
Wait do I put the filter like just outside the cover or do I replace the cover with the filter
Has the paint ever been a problem during re-assembly?
tutorial LED USB please, thank you
What type of filter should I use?
Thanks for this very helpful video!! Now I can avoid lung cancer!!!!
Question, if I paint outside, do I need a paint Booth?
🔥🔥
Gotta protect your gunpla from those crying children
I’m stuck on the power supply part
Is a n95 mask good for painting if I'm painting outside? Thanks
No always use mask specifically design for paint, trust me don’t put a price on your health
@@Oneklickmedia thank you for the tip Sir.
Yes I was able to buy a proper mask about a year ago.
:)
Wow
It the best to have your paint booth negative pressured.
how im build a studio?
is really just a fan in a box uh? i seems like easy enough to make by your own
Bathroom exhaust style fans canot handle the fumes from lacquer paints/thinners etc, only the centrifugal sirocco industrial blower fans can.
Built the same, just smaller
you didn't talk about the electricity part :(
bro, teach us how did you get your accent ? it is not Fillipino at all
