Final Fantasy XIII - Shaolong Gui (8500 HP, Lv 1 weapons, no TP/shrouds)

Done at meager stats. I'll break this one down.
SAB/RAV/RAV
SEN/SEN/SEN
SYN/SYN/SAB
SAB/MED/MED
SAB/COM/COM x2
Start in any Fang-SAB Paradigm and try to stick Slow before Quake. It rarely happens (and doesn't here) but if it does, it might help you a lot.
Haste/Protectra on everyone (Tortoise the first stomp), then get healed while you stick Slow, Imperil, Deprotect. Then refresh buffs while Lightning Enfires. At this point, you want to have Curse up if you can (not mandatory, more of a precaution to make Snow spam Daze if you need to spend additional time in Superiority), then boost chain to low-to-mid 400s. Bravera Lightning and Snow, then do two rounds of Devastation pre-stagger. Stagger with Smart Bomb/raise to 900%+, then back to Devastation.
Most of the time, the wrench in the works will be Ultima. Lightning doesn't get Reprieve at Stage 9, so she will likely die to it. If that happens, go to Perseverance, stick Daze so you have time to Phoenix Down and reapply any buffs.
Things that will almost definitely force a retry:
- Bay
- Two Ultimas
- Letting it do anything during stagger (you simply won't have enough time to do the necessary damage)
Make sure Snow is healed up (Adrenaline) before staggering.
You should expect average times in the range of 2:50-3:10. My best time was 2:40 but that was with no Ultima to deal with. I chose to show this fight because most of the time you WILL have to deal with it.

@TheSum43 Stage 9 is unlocked after you beat the boss at the end of chapter 11. Stage 10 is unlocked after you've completed the story, which is a plus, because unlike other FF games, FFXIII allows you to play on after the stories ended :D. You've probably figured this by now but if not, hope it helps :)

Cool~ Doing a challenge run too and this strat looks doable for me. I think...
I'm gonna have to choose Vanille as my party leader tho since she's the only one with Reprieve in my roster. Have Snow as the Dazer, being the only one who has it. And maybe Sazh since he has all the necessary buffs.

Hey man great stuff it took me ages to figure how to do this, only difference being is I had everything maxed out like crystarium and weapons (Tier 3). I used the Paladin + Mythril Bangle * on Snow and the Axis Blade + Power Glove * on Lightning.
I did use a different strat with this though, I openend with Tortoise, had FSnL went Attrition debuffed then went into Evened Odds buffed switched to Smart Bomb switch back to Evened Odds rebuffed then back to Smart Bomb stagger, switch to Devestation.

Well technically it's a rank 2 weapon at its level 1... but yeah looks weird

Snow and Lightning got Lv1 weapons and they are the ones doing dmg. The only benefit Fang gains from calamity spear is the improved debilitation 2 which mostly adds consistency to the strategy but doesn't change it. The additional magic stat gained is negligible.

I use fang hope and vannile fang is the party leader so at first i go SAB/MED/SAB if i go too low hp i go combat clinic SEN/MED/MED or disrection COM/MED/MED then after all debuff get in em i go rapid growth SYN/SYN/SYN after i (fang) get every character get faithra and bravera then go relentless assault then when his lower than half hp while hes stagger i use the highwind.
