Man, I always feel such joy when I see any of MDB's wrestling streams have been updated. The toil and triumph of Mideon is such an engaging tale. Also, I know this game is known for difficulty spikes, but it's wild how some matches you dominate against Steve Austin and the Rock and Kane and the Undertaker, but Pat Patterson stomped ass and Faarooq gave you a really intense match.
I understand what you mean when you say midion looks like he evolves in to undertaker in this game but mideon feels like a middle form not a first form to me so now I'm trying to finger out what the pre evolution to mideon would look like 💖

I was in school near the final year when Mankind was in that cage match. It was all people talked about for weeks! Wrestling was massive back then, it's such a shame when it lost its popularity, it might be scripted but they're still athletes. My only complaint is when they do interviews they stay in character. I remember a Sky Sport had someone on back in the 2000's and he was in character and it didn't work. If he'd come out and said, "we've got some great drama planed this year, some big grudges and everyone is working heard", I think that would have gone down better
hmm, maybe when you go back to Wrestling Empire, you should get Sk8r N8 to tag up with "Mideon" (or whatever the MDickey pseudonym was), just as a nod to This series lol

Mideon found the European title in Shane McMahon bag and asked if he could have it Shane didn't care and said yeah. Then he lost it to D Lo Brown

Man I have loved binging these videos. It's great to see a variety of content on here. I think I was a bit jaded on Pokémon challenge videos and you are the only one who has branched out with the content. It's fun as I am a massive wrestling fan especially this era. Keep it up. Hopefully you carry on doing wrestling videos more regularly and maybe move onto other wrestling games like no mercy or WWF Smackdown! Keep up the great work
Thanks! This channel was always primarily a let's play show, I just didn't have as much time to make the let's plays as I wanted for the last few years. Now I finally have time again so I'm doing more!
I wanna see Undertaker vs MDB in a cage match!
I work with a guy who worked on this game, he said part of the problem with the later part of the roster is wrestlers were added close to the date they needed to be finished by. Thus they had to make some shortcuts in order to make the date.
That explains why a lot of the movesets of the undercard aren't very accurate. I do wonder how things like Mideon doing a Canadian Backbreaker happened though. I've watched SO many Mideon matches and I've never seen him do one. Like was it a mistake? I know that it can't ALL be blind guessing on his moveset because both of his signature moves are things he actually did

This game really makes me question for how long I watched Wrestling as a kid. I know some of the Wrestlers in this game and I am 100% sure that this is the exact same Kane design I know from back then. But I am almost certain I never heard of Mideon, Viscera, Gangrel, The Blue Meanie or Farooq before.
But seeing how this are 7-9 Matches per Show I think they might have just cut all the "unimportant" Matches from Show when they showed it here in Germany back in the day. If I remember correctly they only showed like 3 Matches or so per Show over here.
Okay in fairness, this game is an awful representation of what an episode of Raw was like. They didn't usually have 7-9 matches, and when they did have a lot of matches, they were short.
It IS possible that matches were cut overseas though! I've heard that happened a lot, where they'd cut the show down to make it shorter. Blue Meanie wasn't really on TV much, but the Ministry was! If you remember Undertaker with his cultists, Mideon and Viscera were two of them.
Do you know what years you were watching wrestling? Maybe we can narrow this down
The probably latest thing I can remember is that I definitely did see the Undertaker vs Mankind Hell in a Cell match.
So I defiitely did still watch it in 98.
@@riemaennchen Okay, so that was late June of 1998. The ministry of darkness didn't start till October and no one actually joined it until the end of december, so it's possible that you stopped watching RIGHT before they all showed up
It's possible that you've seen Viscera back when he was King Mabel! If you've seen Farooq at all, it would have been when he was the leader of the Nation of Domination.
@@MahDryBread That migh be it. It must've been around that time where it startet airing later in the night so i couldn't watch any more Wrestling because of school.
One match that I also vividly remember from my childhood was that never ending Iron Man Match between Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart. And that was also back when i still thought Wrestling was real.^^
@@riemaennchen That iron man match was 1996, so it's likely that you were watching the second half of the New Generation era, followed by the very early days of the Attitude era
