The Guillermo Del Toro Frankenstein movie I’m looking forward to as well. Guillermo is a tried and true classic Universal Monster and film fan, he crushes it in almost every movie he has released. He’s made mention he wants to use the Kenneth Brana (hope I spelled that correctly) script to make this, but touch it up so it’s more respectful to the original as well as Mary Shelly’s novel. Really rooting on that one.
Branagh, but we get ya! No worries! GDT makes good monsters, he’s very consistent with that and does have love for world-building too! If nothing else, his movies are enjoyable and entertaining to watch. Loved his take on Pinocchio too!
Jurassic World Rebirth! It's written by David Koepp, who wrote Presence (2nd movie on your list) and the first two Jurassic Park movies (the best ones in the series) Koepp also wrote the first Mission Impossible (which you mentioned), the first Spider-Man movie, Secret Window, War of the Worlds, and more. It's also being directed by Gareth Edwards! He directed one of the best Star Wars movies ever - Rogue One, which has arguably the best scene in all of Star Wars (IMO): the Darth Vader hallway scene. He also directed The Creator and the 2014 Godzilla movie. Not to mention it stars Scarlett Johansson! I don't really like the new Jurassic World movies, but this one looks like it's finally going back to its roots and will be awesome!
Love Gareth Edward’s movie, Monster. Still a very enjoyable and rewatchable film! He’s pretty good as a Director overall. If nothing else, he captures a certain atmosphere and tone with his movies!
Hey Jeremy could you post a review of the Count of Monte Cristo? Its been released in the US and its an amazing film, would really like to know what you thought about it.

8:55 Bro, that dude on the train STRAIGHT RIPPED that FROM Terminator 2. "There's no fate but what we make for ourselves". That's the equivalent of pouring syrup on bread and calling it pancakes.
03:31 Just think, Tom Cruise has been "running" 😏with the MI francise for nearly 30 years. Chronically that's tantamount to Sean Connery playing 007. From Dr No until Goldeneye😯 Which would have been awesome, btw 😏🙂
the "hank thompson trilogy" by pulp writer Charlie Huston is incredibly entertaining... Caught stealing is the first novel. I re-read them about once every two years or so and they never get old. Been hoping someone would abopt them, though this is a series that would be a good choice for an hbo series but with the right film maker, Like Darren, this should be a fantastic film.
@@Red-zh7vq crime novels, all based on one guy, Hank Thompson. Hank is taking care of a cat, in whose cage is key. The key is to a locker, that has "all the money in the world" which belongs to the bad guys. Hank ends up in the final novel as a sort of Half assed Hitman. A reluctant anti-hero, if you will. Brilliantly plotted, great chacters and fantastic dialogue all the way through.
I am looking forward to such movies like Mission: Impossible and Superman, but the Michael biopic is my most anticipated film of the year. I say that because the man who is portraying the King of Pop is his nephew. When the casting was revealed, that's when I knew the movie is in the right hands.
I am looking forward to the new Superman movie coming out this year, but I’m also looking forward to Jurassic World rebirth, and the new I know you did last summer
I don't really have a movie I look forward to. I have lost my faith in Hollywood. Probably going to enjoy some euro-movie the most this year. There is actually a couple of kids movies I am going see at the start of the year, one is a cartoon about a baby ghost (based on a kids show), and the other is like a 5th movie of a musical comedy (based on a kids book series). Neither is probably that good, but my daughters like them so gotta take them to the cinema. Their enjoyment gives me more joy than any movie would. 😊
So you just don’t know a lot of upcoming movies then. This wasn’t specifically for just Hollywood productions, it’s about all film, & you will find more than a few of them will catch your interest, it’s inevitable
I saw the trailer for Presence before Nosferatu yesterday and I am so excited for it and love the concept of a first person view of the ghost, very unique style from a unique director. Love the video Jeremy!
It’s so wild what’s going on with movies. I remember being excited for like 50 different movies back in 2015. We went from an interesting movie coming out every or every other weekend to stretching it out to 10. Wild
You know what pisses me the f off? When these moron studios shove like 50 films within the same 30 days, usually around June-July. Like, guys,,,, WHO GAINS FROM THIS???? Not the audience, who is forced to choose between movies both because of money and also getting tired of movies for a little while, and certainly not the studios who all share a smaller piece of that box office pie. It's silly and they should seriously stop doing it. Let these dang movies breeeeeeathe.
You know these studios are separate businesses right? Like, if you have a Christmas movie and I have a Christmas movie are you going to release yours in February so I can have December?
@ That’s a non argument. Christmas is a specific thing, but if I have a blockbuster and you have a blockbuster and a third studio has a blockbuster, I’m GOING TO TAKE YOUR SCHEDULE into account so as to not cut into my profit.
@@DarkDekicDuka it’s not a non argument it’s an example of movies having a time sensitive release date target. Also, what if you get “my schedule” and my movie ends up getting moved back for reshoots? Are you going to keep delaying your movie? At the end of the day, these are separate companies and you have to market these movies months in advance. You have to set a date and compete.
Happy new year my good man! Looking forward to another year of great videos from you. Ive been watching your stuff since 2011! Currently moving through the sludge as a upcoming actor/writer.
THERE'S A NEW RUNNING MAN ADAPTATION??!!! Gotta finally read the rest of my Bachman 3 books in 1.
Yes it's called an audience run out of the theater 😂
Awesome list! I’m excited for Ryan Coogler’s, SINNERS. Hope everyone has a great 2025
i cant wait for “The Accountant 2” the first one is goated
Basically Batman being an accountant
@ not really bro
The Michael Jackson biopic is going to be awesome. Can’t wait.
Yeah the part where he sleeps with kids Boughta be nuts
4:09 the actor playing Michael is his own Nephew.
He looks exactly like him too.
Cool
Hey Jeremy could you post a review of the Count of Monte Cristo? Its been released in the US and its an amazing film, would really like to know what you thought about it.
My top 10:
- I know what you did last summer reboot
- The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie
- Heart Eyes(😍🔪)
- Fantastic Four: The First Steps
- Zootopia 2 (🦊🐰🏙️)
- Wicked Part 2
- Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part 2 (💪🧗🏻♂️🥷🏻)
- F1 (🏎️🔥)
- Superman(💪🌎💫🚀)
- Avatar: Fire and Ash(🪐🌊🔥)
I didn't know there was going to be a reboot of What you did last summer. Did you watch the MTV show?
@ naw it didnt look good to me I guess? Was it alright? Also even though it’s a reboot it’s more of a requel, cause the first 2 are cannon and certain characters are coming back like Freddie prince jr
@@TheDreamClown the series on MTV wasn't terrible. It was guilty fun and I wish it was given a second season.
8:55 Bro, that dude on the train STRAIGHT RIPPED that FROM Terminator 2. "There's no fate but what we make for ourselves". That's the equivalent of pouring syrup on bread and calling it pancakes.
The dude on the train said that two years before T2.
03:31 Just think, Tom Cruise has been "running" 😏with the MI francise for nearly 30 years. Chronically that's tantamount to Sean Connery playing 007. From Dr No until Goldeneye😯
Which would have been awesome, btw 😏🙂
the "hank thompson trilogy" by pulp writer Charlie Huston is incredibly entertaining... Caught stealing is the first novel. I re-read them about once every two years or so and they never get old. Been hoping someone would abopt them, though this is a series that would be a good choice for an hbo series but with the right film maker, Like Darren, this should be a fantastic film.
What kind of novels are they?
Really hope the Running man is closer to the source material..
I feel your pain. I watch mainly independent or low budget films with unknown actors.
I saw presence... it sucks.
My most anticipated movie in this year is snow white. For the wrong reasons.
Get excited for The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie coming out on February 28 in theaters
You need to get a life
@@Luke-3281 Ngl I had hope when I saw the trailer came out....then I saw it....
Out of all these I’m anticipating James Gunn’s Superman and Mission Impossible: final reckoning. I’m also looking forward to Wicked Part Two.
Sinners, mickey 17. I predict most sequels in 2025 will suck
2024 got you down. It's a new year. Have hope.
That's a very negative attitude.
Jurassic World Rebirth will be awesome.
I am sure I remember this channel from 2015 or so and especially that jacket you sure still fit into it dude
I used to plan my year around movies, I haven't looked forward to a film in almost 6 years.
*8
Cause of VOD dude, have you been living under a rock
@@DarkDekicDuka You sound incredibly uninformed on the entire thought process of studios 😂
I hope one day you can review my film or films with a awesometacular/buy on blueray rating of course. Not dogsh*t 😂.

2. Superman

4. Thunderbolts

Don’t spend your money on HTTYD
Im looking forward to MK 2. We will get to see the baddest Shao Khan ever smashing some heads.
