Tried the 11 with hyperview today and I am in love. I like to have my buddy that I follow more in the frame and to see more my hands too. The 10 is really cool, the 11 is as cool with nice new features.
Hero 10 over exposes and makes your face look more orange. Hero 11 was slightly under exposed which is easier to deal with in editing and your skin looked natural color. Inside the hero 10 had way more noise over your right shoulder in the low light. On the bike the 11 dealt way better with the in and out between sun and shadows. All that said I just have a hero 9 which I like a lot. This has helped me to decide on the 11.
Great video! I’m looking into upgrading my Hero Session…finally. I was set on getting a 10, but after watching your review… I think the 11 has the extra features that would best fit my needs. Thanks 🙏!!!!!!!
The 11 performs better when moving into bright light situation. Def more smooth on the lighting when moving into that ultra-bright light. Overall, the 11 looked better across all segments you shot. Sharper image as it handles the light/dark transition in the woods.
Thank you for putting HERO11 to the test, Clint! We appreciate you explaining how it stacks up and look forward to all Mountain Biking content to come. 🚵♀
I never owned a GoPro before. I’m going for a 1month trip to the Philippines in December and snowboarding in March 2023. I also need an action camera while I do my auto detailing videos. I’m leaning more towards between GoPro10 or 11?. What do you guys think?
Thanks for the wonderful video. I'm really worried about the overheating though, especially with a case on it. Did it overheat after 15+ min without a case? How come you don't use a case (a crash could break your lens)?
I don’t use a case on my GoPro and I’ve never had an issue. It is nice that the lens is replaceable in case you should never break it. I do keep a screen protector on the front screen and the back screen. These cameras are very rugged and durable.
Beside the image distortion at the edges in Super--view, I don't see any real difference between Super-view & Hyper-view. Could be that you edited this on a 4K timeline and didn't use GoPro lens correction.
All the same settings except I would probably use Wide instead of Superview. And if the whole video was capturing someone in front of me I would put the camera on the bars.
@@ClintGibbs Thanks. I use a chin mount to capture my kids riding, but have been debating wide v superview (and even linear). A video on tips how to get good clips for phone sharing of GoPro video might be of interest to the community. Lots of us have these cameras and good footage, but struggle just getting a nice clip that is small enough to share via an iPhone.
I think the Gopro 10 provides more natural/enjoyable video. However I do need de bigger sensor function that the Gopro 11 has. Is there any way you can adjust the Gopro 11 settings to a more enjoyable video (eg the same as 10)?
The GoPro has quite a few different ways you can change the look at the video. Shooting flat color and then color grading will give you the most control. Even natural color is pretty contrasty but you can edit that out a bit.
i'm still on a GP4 i don't want to spend $400 for an 11 on features that i'll never figure out, or are meaningless to me the 8 sells for less than half. is that one still relevant?
The 8 is still a really good camera. In fact, I have two new windscreens and the rubber cover for the 8 that I don’t need anymore. If you want to message me on Instagram @clintg37 with your address, I can send them to you.

Hyperview seemed the best IMO. But honestly the difference seems very slight
Was hoping he would have tried the horizon levelling riding through the forest. The 10 appears to give brighter images than the 11.
As a viewer, the Hero 10 seems to provide a more enjoyable video/audio.
Had better sound (5:29) too.

First impression is that 11 uses up batteries faster than 10, and possibly overheats quicker

I always stop down the H10 by -0.5 or -1.0. Really helps with overexposure.
@@330_Crew I do the same with my hero9.
Inside I liked the 10. Out on the bike, on the 11 I liked the hyperview.

Hyperview for fast trails. Supervise for follow along.
White on GoPro 10 is better indoor. Outside, GoPro 11 looks better.
"Superview"
definitely prefer hyperview over superview.

Hyperview does give a better impression of speed. Seems to just be using a motion blur on a closed vignette pattern.

Go for the Hero 11. The 10 bit color is amazing.
@@ClintGibbs thank you!!!

superview on any gopro 9 and above looks good to me!

Very helpful video. What settings do you use on 10/11 when you want to capture the person you are following on a trail?

@@benwithrow5044 I like that idea. I have fun making videos about using GoPros, so I think I may do a few more of those. Cheers, bro!

Great video Clint! What do you use to edit your Vopro footage?
DaVinci Resolve. Sometimes I use my iPad and use LumaFusion.
It's like the iPhone, make the new one sound better then last year's . When in fact just some software updates.

Iv'e had that stabiliztions wonkiness happen a few times with my 9 and 10.
Did it happen with most recent updates?
Where is this mountain bike trail?
San Felasco State Park in Alachua Florida
Can u use same battery on both?
Yes
I think the hyperview is too big.
The 10 makes your skin look a little orange, doesn’t look right.
