Buy Me a Coffee: www.buymeacoff...
Thanks for watching!
Minecraft Legacy Console is a Minecraft Video Game from Mojang and 4J Studios. Minecraft Xbox One Edition, Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition, and Minecraft PS4 Edition are part of Minecraft and Minecraft Legacy Console. Minecraft Bedrock and Minecraft Java are bad and are part of Modern Minecraft.

This video is really good!!
Yeah I don't understand why the video isn't getting any engagement
good job
True
agreed
@@MasterNoob696 bc he doesn’t have a lot of vids so he’s hard to find
I grew up on console editions, glad they’re getting some recognition as the amazing games they are
Yes first version I played was the PS4 edition when I was 7, I only stopped around late 2020 and moved to Java. The flying was so much better in the console editions.
@@vizardonator8571definitely
I grew up with the 360 and still play it and it still very good
I grew up with the PS3 Port and it was Golden.
All console ports are amazing but i guess ky favorite is 360 version
Minecraft bedrock is like a deterrent for me, they should bring back this version!
Its not that hard to get this version. And it still supports online play with other people on Xbox.
I’ve been really enjoying the attention legacy console has been getting in the last year, every part of it is so cool and honestly makes it the most polished Minecraft version by far. I’m gonna be honest I really can’t remember far before I started playing this game, and the memories I’ve made on it are insane
I’m glad that there is still a community surrounding this game even after all these years.
@wackofeather on xbox one edition im trying to get skin pack 1 but I it's not showing in minecraft store. Is it just my game or are all of the versions lacking the download of skin pack one. I really want the squid skin😢
@@SussivanI got that skin pack, I got it for free! Just keep searching. (BTW the squid skin is the best)
@@SBKHLkneehockey-shorts it's not there at all
@@SBKHLkneehockey-shorts trust me I lookdd
My first time playing Minecraft. AH, nostalgia at its peak.
Console edition really is the best edition, and would 100% be the best version to play on if it was still getting updated. I remember playing on PS3 and then switching over to PS4, the excitement of waiting for the next update and seeing what new skin pack or mashup pack would be added, the few bugs that existed and were patched super quickly, all the worlds and memories made in it, man... it was something else. I've spent so many hours on it, built so many things, and had so many ideas for future builds I've never gotten around to. Bedrock can never compare itself to console edition, ever.
Also, in my opinion, PS4 edition is the edition to play console edition, since it was the one updated the longest and got update aquatic features.
If I had a PlayStation I would have played ps4 edition as a kid. At the same time, the fact that Minecraft Legacy Console on the Xbox was updated all the way up to 1.12 means that it is truly the last “classic” edition of Minecraft, which made it a cooler edition to revisit after all these years.
@wackofeather you could say that, but yet, I would love Legacy to be updated to 1.20+
One of the best things about the legacy editions were the tutorial worlds.
Yes! I forgot to mention the tutorials, but they were so creative and again had that detail and polish that you don’t see in Minecraft anymore.
Something I did when bedrock was out is make the tutorial world port it to bedrock
@@justicetubes Nice! It’s great that these worlds are preserved, even though it’s not the original.
Nice!
Really good video. I also miss the legacy edition, but sadly I lost my copy somewhere in the house. This made me want to turn my house upside down looking for it tho.
Dang! I luckily got a digital edition, so I don't have to worry about losing it, but this is why legacy console should still be kept on stores alongside bedrock.
@@wackofeatherit still is used but when i tried to get it at gamestop they were confused why there is 2 editions even tho they weren't confused with the ps4 editions
I you have a chance jailbreak your system I would only recommend it if it's like an old console you don't use that way you can play legacy edition and have mods with it and also free games and alot of other things
The fact that he remembered the mountains is very crazy he's probably the first to mention it
Wii U player here. What wonderful times I spent with friends...
I love the soft graphics console editions give off, just seems really nostalgic
I was actually getting every achievement in the legacy console edition just last week, I ported my world over to bedrock and I could literally watch as the polish vanished from the world. One of the big things I miss is the old crafting, but Mojang probably could just add it back in and it would be a huge improvement.
I will never forget the day, opening my presents for Christmas when I was 7 and opening and Xbox 1 with Steve on the cover. My friends loved the game so much they would come over all the time. We would play split screen battle, or tumble. We made so many worlds and had so many hours. So much fun.
I grew up with this version and the 360 edition, and have very fond memories. I’m also very grateful they allow Xbox 360 graphics on the Xbox One edition as it is very nostalgic for me and to me is my favorite graphics in all of Minecraft. Also the mini games are very nostalgic for me and are great fun. I love how Cat also plays along with Dog and for me personally, should be like that on every Minecraft version.
It’s just crazy how Mojang caught lightning in a bottle with 4j and the console editions, and yet they seem to not acknowledge it anymore.
@@wackofeather very true and wish they realized this
"You never played"
Bro this was my childhood what r u on about
I was referring to the fact that there are now teenagers who grew up with bedrock and not console edition. It’s mindblowing to think about.
@@wackofeather yeah it feels like a tragedy
I loved playing in the worlds for mod display? Idk the themed ones, worlds so wide and colorfull... yet barren empty from people... it was so lonely yet calming at the same time... also the candy texture pack xD
Update: I had it on disc! I played it right away
nice to see a small creator creating better videos then alot of big creators
Thank you for the encouragement! At this point in my UA-cam journey, comments like these help me push further.
I grew up on the ps3 version which is basically identical to the 360 version if you ask me (played both) and yeah I agree with this video.
I enjoy minecraft just not what it has become as of late, sure the new stuff is call but it’s so hard for the game to work on console for me and my friends these days that we simply don’t play it anymore and if we do not together…
The earliest memory I have of the game is from the time that the tutorial had a weird hill city thing, those were the days.
(On a side note it annoys me I can no longer use certain skin packs in the new version, I just want to be a dalek!)
It feels weird hearing Toys on a Track in its original setting when I've only heard the remix in Smash lmao
I only realized they used this music in Smash when making this video. At least some of the banger music made for these editions won’t be forgotten.
I Agree With This Man! Minecraft: Xbox One Edition Was My Childhood. I Still Play It Today!
bold of you to assume i haven't played literally every legacy console version
I grew up with the wii u version... The music, the inventory, EVERYTHING. The nostalgia...
i still go back to playing the legacy xbox 360, vita, ps3 and xbox one versions of the game, I even have the favorites pack on xbone, keep up the good work man
I see everyone getting nostalgic for the 360 tutorial world, I get nostalgic for this one
These versions rocked, so polished and fun. Too bad they’re discontinued, Microsoft really didn’t want us to have a good thing.
i played the 360 version basically since it came out, i remember when stained glass and all the different wood types didnt exist
I played Minecraft Legacy Console Edition. As much as I love bedrock, I miss this one.
I grew up on Xbox 1 edition and I still have it
if anyone is wondering how to install this version, you need the disc. turn your console offline before downloading the disc to your xbox, then launch the game before you turn your xbox online again. hope this helps someone
im so happy i have the og 360 version with one of the old tutorials too
This video makes me remember the 12 hours a day I was spending for 6 years in a row with my bffs on my cousins (bff) ps3
My childhood right here😢
The title being honestly true for some is so sad. Just to realize that younger, new players never played the Legacy Editions and have just played Bedrock.
Edit: Nice Editing btw. Blender peak.
Exactly! It’s a shame that there are kids who have to play bedrock instead of these beautiful console editions. And yea, I hope I can get good enough at blender to make those animations the majority of my video someday.
Navigating your inventory is so much smoother the graphics are better amplified worlds I wish they’d keep updating it
I grew up playing xbox 360 edition alone in home (I have no siblings), and playstation 3 edition with my friend in his house. Btw good job :).
Thanks!
Preach!!! I still only play console edition
Legacy edition is PEAK Minecraft. Not even shaders hit this hard
who remembers built in maps
Great video! Really enjoyed it! (Also Minecraft 3DS Edition was made by Other Ocean Interactive, not 4j) ( 🤓)
Oh really? Interesting, I did not know that. Well, Other Ocean Interactive took a very similar design philosophy as 4j with porting Minecraft!
I still play Minecraft Xbox one edition to this day ⛏️ I don't care if it's 2024 or what I still play it👍
Interesting fact. Minecraft Xbox 360 edition received the Aquatic updated. However Minecraft Xbox One edition despite being new did not receive the aquatic update. So the newest console legacy version of Minecraft is not the most updated.
I still play Xbox One edition Minecraft and its awesome! Reset The End once a day to fight the Ender Dragon and loot the single End City which is available on console. Good Time!
I still play this edition… I’ve been playing it since 2012 !
Xbox 360/Xbox One Editions were what I grew up playing. It's now been 11 years and it's still my favorite version of the game. Something about it just hits different.
Personally I have always loved Java because of the mods, maps, and capability’s. But 4J really did great on Xbox 360. They need a lot of updates and changes to make it better then Java again
first ever minecraft i ever played besides pe. me n my brother played mini games all the time it was amazing times
I had a very similar first experience. I played PE lite (if you remember that), then Xbox One edition.
The Beethoven of Minecraft
Jokes on you I played this version.
they should honsetly add the minigames and stuff to minecraft again it was a such a fun feature
The most updated version of legacy is ps4 edition. They got a few more years of support because playstation didn't allow crossplay with microsoft which is what bedrock is
Wow this dude really time traveled back to 2014 to see how minecraft was on the xbox one impressive
The only that sucks is that it didn’t get the aquatic update (the only port to not get it)
wait a second, I DID play this version once.
Replying a bit late, but it is impressive how tweaked and optimized this game was... If you create a custom superflat (not in Bedrock lol) made of TNTs and light one, not only will the game NOT crash, but it will barely drop FPS, even tho you are blowing a entire world.
Now, if you light a amount of TNT in bedrock, way smaller but still big, the game CRASHES.
Me and Sarvesh (the other guy in the video) actually played on a TNT superflat when we first met as kids. We made it all the way to the world border by just making tunnels with flint and steel, and we thought it was mindblowing. Good times.
I have legit purchased the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 Editions, and failed to get the Wii U Edition before the eShop closure :(
Im just sad my xbox one was demolished in a way any cd would come out with the ring. I can atleast play console edition with xenia
I grew up on 360 and then one I wish I still had my discs hopefully I can buy one somewhere
The best minecraft I've played memories
I was a little kid when minecraft ps3 edition came out man the nostalgia of both that game and this vid cheers man
UA-cam keeps recommending me small creators. Great video btw
They should bring all the new updates into the Console Versions and that would be the only Minecraft on Console I would play.
the legacy versions were the peak, 100%, and i also believe where minecraft xbox one edition was left off on, was peak minecraft. whenever I want to experience true peak minecraft i turn on that edition.
damn Console Edition Minecraft HITS DIFFERENT
First time I've seen someone mention Xbox One Edition, it was the same version I played the most. Great video!
_Yes yes the indoor pools are a_ *_must._*
THE NOSTALGIA AUGHHH!!
The biggest downside to every console version is that you have to pay to play online so the only way for some people to experience the minigames are with half of their screen and 2-4 players.
THIS Game IS still very much alive
I agree! The problem is because this game is discontinued, this game is doomed to eventually fade away and become impossible to get for those in the future who want to play. If this game was sold beside or bundled with bedrock, that would prevent such a great piece of art from withering away.
Jokes on you. I have an entire series I make about it
Nice to see someone else who appreciates this version as much as I do!
@@wackofeather yea. It's my childhood. I'm an OG 360 player
great vid, but i think u forgot to replace the 2nd ps3 version with the ps4 version at 10:33
Oops!
How did we go from stuff like xbox 360 and one edition and wii u and switch edition to poorly optimized bedrock ports?
The legacy console editions load instantly compared to bedrock which takes minutes to launch the game and get into an actual world.
That’s what happens when you can optimize for a specific platform!
I loved this version of Minecraft
I still have this version of the game on my Xbox to this day
I remember I made a creative world with my friends on it and we still play on it and build new things (when bedrock came out we ported it so we could get the new features)
They gotta bring it back😢
At the very least, allow us to buy the game online!
I was a Minecraft pocket edition player for years, I started on version 1.7-8 and only stopped in 2019 when my Ipad broke. I've been using Mc education edition ever since and only now I've gotten my own gaming laptop so soon I can get my own proper Minecraft :D
I remember when I played xbox 360 edition, I tried to create aether portal and failed...
It’s a canon event.
fuck man i think you got something with this video, actually super good
I played the shit out of legacy xbox one edition!!! I loved that game so much. Peak minecraft right here. I miss it 😢
i remember starting pvp out on the xbox 1 s Minecraft edition on split screen...
look at me now.
Good job Sarvesh!
GOAT, playing Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition TU1 1.6.6 right now.
The minigame servers are back online!!
Awesome! I noticed they were online for a while now on XBO, and now they are online for some of the other versions too!
I've played this version of Minecraft since 2014 when it released on PlayStation 3. And if I ever play Minecraft these days, I always play this version for a multitude of reasons.
This is the most down to earth video I think I have ever seen. Good job
yo good job man, thats a real achievement c:
Im a mainly java player, but when i go on holiday im left with hideous and messy bedrock on my switch. I agree with the MC Feedback post, have legacy not be updated and come on and off sale during special events (like MC Live, Christmas, Easter, etc) to build up hype and they can double the price for extra profits. It would be a win - win. People who want legacy can get it and mojang and microsoft get extra profits
0:12 You Forgot PSVita Aswell
14:21 - why are you shaking your whole body while talking?
Give the man the subs he needs
Microsoft needs to add this game back to stores
Yes! There’s a petition in the description that you can contribute to.
“The best minecraft you never played”
Ive been playing this for a year now. It is indeed goated.
Glad to see people are picking up this game even after it’s been discontinued!
How is this channel so small? I was expecting 500k subs minimum! Keep it up!
Thank you! I will!
My dad and I played this a LONG time ago when I was REALLY little. I still have it and my old worlds and can go back at any time! :)
I always played creative
Random facts:
- Because of a little Kelly and Carly video I saw where they took care of babies at a daycare in Minecraft (I don’t think it was part of a series), I started to get OBSESSED with daycares and built like billions, sometimes in their own standalone worlds. I’d pack the daycares with villager babies and kill all the grown ups, including the grown up babies. This was when I was like 5-6
- I saw some of their other videos a bit with their castles and stuff so next thing you know there’s a (WAY WORSE THAN THEIRS BUT I WAS TRYING) castle in my main world. The castle works best with the bought fantasy texture pack
- I have all the skin pack things and I’d ABUSE I think skin pack 1-3 (the career ones like king queen doctor etc) and this one skin with the girl with a flower crown since it looked like little Kelly and Carly
- Last time I’ll mention these guys, promise. I saw parts of this video where Little Kelly and Carly went into some guys digestive system to kill some viruses. Guess what I tried building later???!! (I think I was influenced by Roblox fatpaps obbies, too. Speaking of which, have a couple parkour tracks in my main world)
- Similarly, I watched a video by Stampy where he went to the moon and I tried to copy the rocket and go. It didn’t work and I don’t think I realized he might’ve been tampering with his game using mods, so I tried finding alternative methods to achieve what I was trying to do. The End looked similar so I just claimed that as the moon and copied the rocket there (STILL THERE!) and tried building a moon on my world that looks unfinished. I also tried copying his little love garden thing in another world with a very similar if not identical mansion thing. I never heavily watched any of the UA-camrs 8 mentioned, maybe fully watched like 2 videos and just saw parts of the others
- I built my silly stuff in either superflat worlds or deserts since deserts were the closest things to a blank canvas
- I used wool to DEATH since my heyday with this sorta stuff was before concrete and terracota were things and these were the only colored blocks available. (If I didn’t use texture packs to achieve my goal)
Minecraft Xbox one edition is one of the first Minecraft versions I’ve ever play also problably the first game I’ve ever played, I don’t play the game much anymore but I love the game still.
Same boat here! This game was all me and my friends would play back in the day.
I even play the Xbox 360 version emulated on my Steam Deck docked to a TV and my god it just feels cozy
Emulation is basically all that’s keeping these games alive since they aren’t on console stores. It’s good to know that these games feel just as good emulated!
@@wackofeather it’s also the best way you can have split screen on PC in my opinion (and don’t forget about the mini games)
@@ReeksofChees3 I didn't realize how awesome 4j's splitscreen features were until I started playing bedrock and java. I might emulate the ps4 edition, because it has the aquatic update and I wonder if it plays differently.
@@wackofeather Xbox 360 TU75 also has Update Aquatic. You'd need a more than decent gaming PC if you wanna do Xbox 360 emulation (PS4 emulation is still in its infancy right now so I wouldn't recommend it at this moment)
the only differences I know between Xbox 360 and PS4 is world size and render distance
Interesting, I wonder if you could modify the emulation of the Xbox 360 version to feature bigger world sizes,
I grew up playing xbox 360, xbox one, and ps3 edition. my favorite being xbox one edition. im so glad I bought this before it got delisted because its honestly way better than bedrock edition that people play on xbox nowadays
Absolutely! At the very least this game should show up back on console stores.
Question. If you had the option to would you have this version of Minecraft be the official version and have the modern version be removed?
I grew up on console edition, and I still play it!
The title is wrong because I have played the best version of minecraft and to this day I still don't have as much fun playing on the 360 and hoping on minecraft just to play tumble and tnt super flats 😢
Xbox One edition is awesome. I haven't updated it since 2015 so it still has old stuff lol
