Enjoying the vids! I have a '91 244 that I'm putting together, so seeing your progress keeps me motivated with my own.
That 240 is going to be awesome once completed.
ah yeah. glad it's running cherry. happy all the parts worked out
I love it, volvo:)
Great video. Where or what's going on with the car? Haven't seen no more videos of this great proyect.
great :D
did you go to the Navy? where did you get the Navy jump suit? looks nice!
Hey man love ur vids, i was looking for an email address but didnt see 1 so im here... Have you ever replaced an ac in a 240? I have an 89 wagon thats a beauty n works pretty good except the ac and its been 90+ lately. Any advice or links would b appreciated. Thanks!
you need to move the maf to after the bov if your gonna run a bov if not it will stall after you do a pull coz it blows out messured air and it gets way to much fuel
john ivar except that it stalls even when not boosting. just doesn't like idling. but that might do the trick, since they were designed for CBV valves
it will stop hesitating after pulls aswell or become better atleast
your bov is the reason it dies after you let off, it's a maf metered system and every time you let off it Leans out because it looses that volume of air that was already accounted for before the turbo. it happens on any maf turbo car with a bov.
Nah man, cant be lean, if there is alot of meterd air going in and it suddenly disappear. there is ging to be more fuel then air. The air escaped from the bov right =)
Either way the air has to be returned post senor. Which is a good thing because you may also be getting a poor reading by having the sensor too close to the turbulent turbo.... turbolent air haha
LH 2.2 wont run to lean for a turbo? i thought to turbo swap you are required to swap to LH2.4 and use a 740 turbo computer and ignition computer

You plan on going to the IPD show in June?
Max Lewis unfortunately not. next year for sure, however. I'll hàve apretty cool rig then
you use a 940t engine and harness?
Hey David, do you know offhand the thickness of the spacers behind those S80 wheels? I hear 25mm is pretty common but those look a little pokier than what I've seen before
Codename5A3 I don't. but I will eventually have those of and I'll let you know then
David Bello awesome, thanks :)
Shipmate!!
Hey, what are the details on the main gauge cluster? Did you build it, or buy it?
Looks like they came from Daves Volvo page, he sells all sorts of cool stuff
Is the MAF going to be okay in such a hot spot?
+Nick's DIY Probably not, electronics need to be kept cool, which is why they are mounted in a position where they get air flow over them in production vehicles. They also need to have fairly cool air flowing through them which is why modern turbo cars are intercooled, otherwise they burn out or become temperamental really quickly...
throw The blow off valve and spool without
