The large tube connected to the "T" fitting is just a vent I believe. The one I'm working on has the tube that is supposed to go to the petcock plugged on either side, thus rendering it useless. will make sure the petcock allows fuel flow without it. My guess is someone tweeked the petcock to not require it.
The vent tube the runs to the right rear of the carb just vents the float bowl to a high point near the fuel cap and may have a T piece at its end going nowhere. The Petcock with a vacuum line usually connects to the front upper metal tube while the fuel pump connects to the right front plastic carby fitting. The petcock can run free if set to prime and will shutoff if set to run or res with no vacuum line connected.
The more I watch the more concerned I am my mixture screw has no o ring or spring my main jet has no washer and I’m not even half way through the video
Get a $20 carb kit for the mixture screw spring washer and Oring. Use the float valve and float bowl Oring gasket. Find a small washer for the main jet. Or swap parts from a cheap china clone carby.
Great video, I am doing the exact same thing on my '96 Suzuki Quad to fix a needle and float problem that keeps letting gas overfill the float bowl.
Outstanding detail video, thanks.
Very good and informative thanks 👍

@@bms250ford yeah I bought a carb kit with everything I need
How do you know the right float height
It is when the top of the float lays horizontal, parallel with the float bowl gasket surface.
where did you buy your rebuild kit from?
EBay. There are a few listed. I did not use the jets just cleaned the original ones. Used the float valve and the bowel seal and small Orings.
