@@Painfulwhale360I love thorogoods but god damn are they painful to wear sometimes. The break in period gave me blisters pretty good and I find that the leather interior rubs off and stains all my socks
My husband is older, and works at a shipyard, here in Maine. He walks a lot at work, and spends most of the day on his feet. Because he works hard, workboots typically last him 6-8 months. Last year, we found a company called OrthoFeet and bought a pair of their work boots, and my husband LOVES them. They were under $150 and didn't have to be broken in. He said that it feels like he's walking on pillows. He wore the first pair for 10 mohths (got 4 extra months out of them), and says they're the most comfortable boots he's ever had (in 40 years of working!). They come with adjustable orthopedic inserts, so you can get the perfect fit. He has to have good arch support, and they're great for that, and he says that his knees havent been bothering him as much since he began wearing them . He's on his second pair now (10 months in), and we're getting ready to order another pair..
Just ordered some too. I think I’m going to keep my Carolina boots for work, tried and true ya know, and use the brunt’s as my clean everyday going out boots! I got the black pair! Appreciate the quick review
Just got these boots and I have to agree they are easy on the feet. I’m on my feet all day so that matters. I go through boots often I have a dirty job so a 300$ boot just isn’t for me. 160 works and when they are nasty time for a new pair!
I have heavy canvas pants like Duluth Trading, Carhart, Dickies style that definitely get hot in the summer. The 40 grit Duluth Trading are what I am wearing all this week because it is hot out. I think the best pair I have is actually a pair of workmen's trousers from Europe that are super lightweight and have built in slots for removable kneepad cushion. I don't have link for them. Here are the DT pants. I picked up mine for $20. They are on sale for $32, which is okay. www.duluthtrading.com/s/DTC/mens-40-grit-flex-twill-standard-fit-carpenter-pants-23732.html?color=ROB
Anyone use these for landscaping? I do 10 miles a day of speed walking. I run through boots in 3 weeks! Tired of spending so much on boots that are supposed to last and don’t.
@@TheRubicon1079 lol all I’m saying is for two weeks those boots look like they’ve had 3 months use. No slander to the person, rather the boot. Technician that works on telephone poles btw.
"Boots" lol. You mean crocks with leather surrounde? Those are so bad that my company won't allow them them because they are not worg a dang. They should be comfortable they are literally built like crocks with leather.
Never heard a company literally pick a brand out and tell someone you can’t use them lol. As long as you have steal/comp toe boots don’t matter what you wear as long as your feet are “safe”.
@@RyanShannon85 not what I was saying, he oversized his boots that's why they are comfortable brand new, they will stretch and his foot and ankle won't be supported as well because the shoe wasn't fitted properly
I’ll be honest, they look cheap AF. Not saying I wouldn’t buy them as beaters, but it would be with the full knowledge they’re going into the trash. Even new, they look like junk.
Yup! Like a Chinese Cadillac! These boots are cheap foreign made cemented garbage. If you’re going to buy foreign boots, Wolverine and Rock Rooster are the way to go. Not these cheap boots. Tired of their marketing
the more comfortable they are at first... the less they last...
Not true at all.
I’d rather buy a new pair of boots every 6 months if I don’t have to break them in while they kill my feet..

I’ve not had brunt but for the money I would trust other brands. A boot that has to break in you’ll never find that comfort anywhere
I really like my redwing Mocs they have lasted for years

How much did they pay you to say that
Yeah, all the ads got us hyped up boot T-shirts are cool though
I'm probably going to get the ryng
With redwings you have a lifetime warranty with them and they will give you a free pair just take the old ones in and swap them out
What pants do you recommend for the weather out there? Going on a job down south here in a week

Truewerk T2 pants

Had them on my feet for about 10 feet and then took them off and put them back in box and sent them back
some people are very narrow minded, but we all know who they are without them commenting on boot selection
Have you worn them on a steep roof. If so how did they perform?

What kind of pants are those
Your Moms
Didn’t even last 2 months and they started to rip🫠there definitely comfortable but not meant for actual hard work 🤷🏽♂️
That’s the boot after 2 weeks?Yikes😮😂
its called working for a living, you should try it sometime

@@PGC195the ansi rating is usually the dis/qualifying factor but we refuse Chinese steel at our shop so who knows
Were they true to size?
Yes sir, they were for me.
These boots are just for cruzing. Not so much for work! And there is no comparison!
yeah who doesnt want your feet hurting for 3 months breaking in new boots
Bad sign if they are comfortable from the get go.
Not true, my thorogood's were my best boots to date and they were comfy from day 1

?$160??. They’re $150 with change…
What
Garabage.Better off buying Redwing moc toe or some Thurogoods. They cost more but last way longer
im sold
They look cheap and kinda useless as far as work boots go. Does brunt make an 8 inch waterproof boot that can handle trench work?
Worn for 2 weeks and they done. Trash.
Made from Chinese human skin

Just can't stand the look of moc toe boots.
Come back in 6 months when those have disintegrated and you had to buy another pair. Brunt boots are shit
I doubt you'll be singing the same tune in a few months. Brunts are hot garbage
Mine have been going strong for a year so far. I’m a welder by trade, so they definitely see their share of roughness.
