I have been a sprinklerfitter for 24 years and have worn every pair of boots from brahma when I was an apprentice to Redwing, timberland, wolverine, keen as a journeyman. I started wearing thorogood around 2015, and they are the ONLY BOOTS I get over a year out of. Comfortable and durable, replacing a pair today I have worn since July 2021. Thorogoods are a no Brainer!
My thorogood boots only lasted about 6 months, they're the heaviest I'd owned, and most expensive at the time
I'm on my 4th year (not winters) with my thorogoods
On year 3 or 4 with mine. Have done everything from underground utilities to asphalt to concrete. Leather is still very good on them (oil them up probably twice a year). I can't say anything bad about them other than a hefty price tag but they've paid for themselves twice over
These are absolutely low quality boots, I’m three months in...boots feel like they’re worn out, traction is GONE, sole is gone, and the inside stitching has already worn through. If you ever try to put a negative comment on Brunt’s Facebook adds, they remove it and block you. Think about that.
One is Union Made and Made in the USA, the other isn't...end of discussion

Very great boots have a pair and love them, everyone will have different opinions, that dude always gives high reviews on shit over 400 bucks anything under he’s picky as shit
I have the Brunts and they are the most comfortable boots ever. Feels like im in slippers every day. No issues with durability yet either. If they last me a year they'll be my go to boot for life thats how comfortable they are

I've had brunt when I started and they lasted me 2 months now I buy thorogoods and they last me about a year and a half or 2 I could resole but I just get a new pair since they're so comfortable from the 1st wear and I have flat feet

I ordered from Brunt a pair of work shoes! My husband only wore them for 15 days and the tabs that is stuck to the shoes, that keeps the hole for the shoelaces strong HAVE ALL BROKEN OFF.... Because my husband didn't start wearing them until 8 weeks after the order date (I got him boots from a different company the same day and he loved those more) they wouldn't honor their 30 day warranty. Instead they wanted to give me a code for 15% off my next pair... I won't be ordering from brunt again!

They start breaking down around 30 - 90 days waste of money. The leather is ok but the structure of the boots are real bad.
Nothing beats thorogood, they are worth the extra money , the brunt boots will not last long if you are hard on them, they are all glued and those eye lits will fall off, always go with thorogood in my opinion

Those brunts arent slip resistant l, oil resistant or heat resistant. Unless you get the brand new generation
And i have ordered the new generation ones to try they are also triple stitched. But they sent me the old style 2 times and it took forever for customer service to resolve the issues. Once I got a hold of them they were very nice and helpful. But you can tell ifni get a year out of them it will be alot. Sine i only get 2 years out of the made in America red wings with the composite toe. The brunts are super comfortable right our of the box where the redwings i feel after 2 years they are still getting broken in. Im curious what the brunts look like in 6 more months. And the brunt boots are definitely a thinner leather than the thorogoods. I believe the brunts are 2mm or 2.5 and the the thorogoods are 3mm or 3.5 depending on model.
I have a pair and I love them. I'm an hvac technician and my feet never hurt with these boots. Very comfortable

I don’t know about removing the padding to get a wide. The padding under my is what I’m looking for. I don’t want to take any out
How'd the brunt hold up?
I know this is old but you said the sole was stitched on but its fake I believe its full cement on construction
They aren’t welted stitched. Just glued on. Pretty deceptive and disappointing and the soles are not full wedge soles. They have a middle foam layer which after wearing out the outer part basically starts to wear out twice as fast
How are you liking these? How are they holding up?
I feel like brunt is the gimmicky boot brand like might be good for dress up but not good for work am I the only one who thinks this?

they are all glue and not good year welted. They are really cheap made boot I have 4 pairs of Thorogood boots and they have been great working boots Brunt is not on my collection and they will never be !! This is my opinion
Brunt is a marketing company selling Chinese products to hard working Americans. Quality is subpar. Less money on marketing & more on quality.

I can tell you how mine held up, they’re JUNK, DONE, COOKED. Three months and they’re finished. Or close to it. They’re a Walmart quality boot.

Come on, man I don’t wanna be rude in your comments, but that was a line of crap if I ever heard it you need to know the boots before you talk about them. It has a fake stitching. Those souls are glued on the leather is thinner and less quality the soles are less quality, when you cut them in half you see the quality in the boots are not there like they arei n thorogoods are made the USA union labor other boots are made in the Cambodia feed there workers a bowl of rice once a week I see you never did a follow up video

This was a fairly useless tutorial. Took far too long to explain the same things and didn't give any real insight as to whether the boot is any good, how it feels, how it holds up, close ups, stitching vs glue, overall size, areas that might wear out or bend/stretch. And for me mink oil is way too dark I like the original color. Nothing helpful is mentioned besides what you could read from the companies own website.
